Y'all go on about him using Harden to defend against special moves, but many of you didn't consider that his first mistake was going for Gen 3 instead of Gen 1. Bind actually affects Ghost-type unlike what he initially thought (since Bind is technically true damage), and Gen 1 is so fundamentally broken that he would have beaten the game in half the time by using glitches such as badge-boosting by pure accident. Even if he did stick to Gen 3, he could have used struggle and saved himself the headaches of so many fights whilst giving Geodude a move that's more viable than Tackle. Struggle in Gen 3 is typeless, has 50 base power and 100% accuracy. Its recoil damage is negligible if you use berries or leftovers, so most battles such as Brock's or the fights in Rock Tunnel would have been much easier. I will say I'm stupidly impressed he had the patience to pull through, and even managed to beat the entire game with this terrible team, though.
Why is he using Harden to try and tank Water Pulse? That's not how the game works... (4:51) Also, I'm pretty sure it's pronounced Lawr-Uh-LIE, not Lawr-Uh-LEE. (23:32) While we're at it, how did he manage to have enough PP for the entire Elite Four?

God using this dire hits and not starting with X Attacks is killing me XP
I've watched a lot of Small Ant Pokemon challenges so I know the power of X Items lol
Im pretty sure its possible without the X items
They are not used by SmallAnt in most of his challenges so idk what you're saying
@@karelsimek5871 Hes saying get this X attack is way better than dire hits
Ooh a Pokemon challenge? Always love these videos and it's a long one! Super hyped
This is gonna be rough. Haha pun go brrr
Brocks best move *FRYING PAN AS A DRYING PAN*
Hey I am second because I’m subbed with post notifications
Seeing all these comments telling Nathaniel that harden doesn't affect your special defense, it fills you with DETERMINATION.

Good for you
Y'all go on about him using Harden to defend against special moves, but many of you didn't consider that his first mistake was going for Gen 3 instead of Gen 1.
What does Nathaniel Use to record his screen?
Bandicam
The thing is that water pulse is a special attacking move so harden would only increase defense so nothing will change.
Fun fact: I have every song used in this video in my personal playlist
Very nice musical tastes Nate
Those STAB moves can really grind down a rock.
Why is he using Harden to try and tank Water Pulse? That's not how the game works... (4:51)
Also, I'm pretty sure it's pronounced Lawr-Uh-LIE, not Lawr-Uh-LEE. (23:32)
While we're at it, how did he manage to have enough PP for the entire Elite Four?
Something tells me he got influenced by JRose11.
He can still use items like Ethers, just not in battles
if you done brocks team from the anime you would have had a smoother run
random anecdote, I remember probably about 6-7 years ago now, I commented on a video and I remember you replied to my comment and I got so excited that I took a video on my 3ds to remember the occasion and showed everyone at school. Pretty sure I still have the video on my 3ds somewhere
As someone who plays pokemon almost every day, watching this was both painful and entertaining
Using Harden for defending special attacks, and giving X Attacks to his Pokémon to hold.. Very painful lmao
Nathan fighting sans: But I actually feel determined for this battle
Nathaniel bandy: Shows all of is members at the end
Me: Am I a joke to you?
21:21
Bandy: All 6 of Giovanni's pokemon have earthquake!
*shows 5 pokemon*
