I'm so addicted to ur videos! Ur so calm and u tell what flies ur using. I'm learning more watching ur videos than anything else on yt!! I wish u would explain leader and tippet lengths and where u put ur float and split shots when u add em. Beautiful day fishing tho guys fuck ya
Well, if you're nymphing you can't go wrong with a simple blood midge and flashback pheasant tail. Really any beatis pattern will work. I tend to like the original Juju Beatis in a size 18-22. As far as streamers go, I like a black leach pattern, the Autumn Spender, or an olive Sculpzilla. Hope this helps. -Tim
I broke the frame of my old net on a big cutthroat last February. Oh, well, gave me a good excuse to upgrade the net... Wonderful video. I need to try that stretch the next time I visit my brother.
Thanks, Robert. I’m always searching for any excuse to buy new gear, but I always hate it when I break things. I broke my Native Net after a nasty fall last winter. Would have rather broke it netting a trout like you. -Tim
Awesomeness! Beautiful fish and excellent footage. Thanks for sharing the Colorado content. 🐠 🎣
Nice presentation, I'll say this those Browns and rainbows they come in behind those salmon and eat those eggs.

Awesome video, love the commentary. That was a beast of a brown! Scott will gladly replace Chris’ rod after seeing the pic of him with the beast.
What a great day you guys had! Very nice! I can't wait to get up to the dream stream🤙🏼🔥
Any fly recommendations for fall on the South Platte? I’m heading here in October.

Did you add sink tips to your fly line to get down to the deeper pools for the salmon or did use use weight on your tippet?
No sink tip. I use a floating line with a 12' leader and I add split shot to my tippet about 16-20" above my first fly. -Tim
I hit an 8p brown right above there, 3-4 years ago.🤘🏻🇺🇸👍🏻
Beautiful video, what cameras did you use? Thanks for sharing, keep filming! Love hooking up Kokanee and the browns are so fun to catch!
Just a GoPro 7. Thanks for the kind words. -Tim
Great video!
Awesome!
Great video. Could you see the Kokanee in the deeper runs? Like the the one at the wind chimes? Or were you blind fishing the deep runs/pools?
In nearly every deep run I could see the shadows of a few kokes. -Tim
How do you like that Moonshine rod? I’ve heard good things about them.
I think it’s a great rod. It’s a Vesper 9’ 5wt. It’s a fast action rod and it casts well. I highly recommend it. -Tim
Can you please tell me what net(s) you guys have? Also what size flies are you using? Thanks
The brand of the nets are Fishpond. The fly sizes ranged from 18-22. Hope that helped. -Tim
@@CombatFlyFishing Thanks Tim
Nice video! I'm curious if you were fishing a two fly rig, or just a single fly to avoid spooking fish.
EMC, I was using a two fly rig throughout the day and so was Kris. -Tim
Great video! I fish that area a lot and have some on my page..
What size tippet do you use for those big browns?
5X piano wire.
Were you using Tim's super worm? Is the super worm too big for small streams?
On this trip I didn’t use it, but it will work on small streams. -Tim
@@CombatFlyFishing Thanks. I REALLY enjoyed your book!
@@paulfinger6975 thank you. I’m grateful you liked it. -Tim
What flies did you use?
The flies that brought most of the fish to the net were a size 20 blood midge and size 20 Juju Baetis. -Tim
Love it. Was this at the dream stream?
Sure was. -Tim
I am a gear nerd and what pack do you use
I use a first generation waterproof hip pack made by Fishpond. -Tim
