If you use the steel mesh ceilings to place the explosives you get a much smoother hanging wall, instead of the current swiss cheese met shotgun design (remove the mesh before hitting the funny button). Personally I use conveyorbelts for tunneling. Plonk them down, spawn the TBM on top, and off to the races. Any left over material on top of the belts = ANFO to the rescue.
