We are so excited to be building this tiny mansion in the mountains but that doesn't mean we don't have sleepless nights worrying about the plumbing, electrical and now a puppy too LOL! Today we are electrically challenged and i think we do pretty well.

Allie's choice of music is always so completely on point.
Leeka won't climb the stairs because her instincts tell her they are a hair out of square. Very smart dog!
and she knows that she should not be climbing them until she is at least 3 months old. German Shepherds need to be especially careful about their developing joints etc.
I'm gonna go with the hair out of square bit😃
😂
UA-cam really needs a haha button!
Leeka’s ears kill me with cuteness everytime. 😍
I can’t imagine the feeling 10 years from now as you two both lounge around that house, chillin and relaxing, and then it hits you, you built your entire house, with your own bare hands. Such an amazing feeling.
I’m glad Frank has a sister , someone to play with while you’re at work because when Frank look out the window b4 the new addition he looked so bored and now he is having fun 👍🏿
Frank playing with Lika melted my heart he is such a great dog
Years ago, we brought home a little red Irish Setter female puppy named Enan! She would cry at night and want to go out to relieve herself multiple times. We solved Enan's night time anxiety by placing a ticking clock near her bed and a hot water bottle between blankets to comfort her and guess what? It worked!
Frank is definitely starting to enjoy his new sister. He is even rolling over on his back showing his belly when they are playing. He is such a great big brother already!
It’s the floppy ears for me. My dog never grew out of them as they usually get quite rigid and when she runs they just flop around and it’s the cutest thing ever. 😂🥰🥰🥰🥰
Love seeing Allie so much more on camera!!
Hello! A REALLY IMPORTANT information for german sheperds/ malinors: if you don't want the tail to be crooked later on, you need to (carefully ;-) cut the hair at the end of the tail (it should look like a cigar). Otherwise the hair touching the ground will tickle the dog and she will slightly pull it upward all the time - which results in it being crooked when she is an adult. We love your videos and enjoy to come along on your adventures! Greetings from Germany!
Hi guys great video. Just be careful with the stairs with Lika. Doing stairs too early can effect their growth plates and cause trouble down the line for her. She is adorable though and seems to fit right with your family
She’s is such a smart puppy! And Frank is an amazing big brother. She will learn so quickly taking her cues from him.
I doubt you have time to read all the comments, but in the off chance you do…don’t push the stairs on the puppy. Her growth plates are still open, she’s growing and laying down muscle to help support her joints. Stairs put stress on her joints, not to mention the risk of falling down. Be patient and let her grow safely ❤️🐾
It's great that you are letting people know that having a puppy is hard work , great video
I love watching the pups playing. So happy that Frank is accepting his baby sister. He is a great dog.
Frank finally getting to the point where he realizes Leeka is his new playmate, not someone to take Mom and Dad's attention away from him. They'll be inseparable soon. 💕
The ears on your baby girl.......I’m in love.❤️❤️
Just a thought, if you have extra wire or scrap wood, or even fittings that can't be returned or saved, art stores or craft stores sometimes have designated scrap sections or places you can donate miscellaneous supplies that artists use in projects. Could be a fun thing to look into to reduce some waste and get extra stuff reused!
Frank is doing really well with accepting Leka. He is such a special dog and is perfect for setting a good example for Leka which he is doing.🥰
Most houses probably aren't wired by licensed electricians, but rather their apprentice. As long as the inspector signs off you are golden. Keep up the great work.
where i live you have to have a master license to wire a new house . and i live upstate NY
Those ears!!! I love those oversized puppy ears!!! 💕💕💕💕 I can't even with the amount of cuteness....
I vote that Frank and Lika get their own channel. And great video!
Frank seems to be really enjoying having a playmate - this is going to mean a lot more exercise for him as the two can run and jump and play together. Again, lots of progress.
I'm glad to see that Frank is not threatened by Leika. She is going to be so much bigger than him very soon. Now is the time to build fences, Frank. Good boy.
How do y'all manage putting out two 30 min videos a week, new puppy, and building a house? Crazy!
They are amazing! ☺
Your Fur Babies Are So Cute Together! Your Home Is Really Coming Along!! Hugs To Everyone!!!
Omg just look at what you’ve DONE. Y’all have been at it awhile so you don’t realize what you’ve accomplished👍👍👍. You have a house. A house. I’m so impressed and hope you take pleasure in what you’ve done. Love the puppy and franks a great brother lots of love from Nana,🤗😀❤️❤️👍
Poor wee puppy! She is used to sleeping in a pile of siblings, and now she has to sleep all by herself. It's scary and lonely. It's great to have a mature dog to help raise the puppy. So much easier!
My dad was an electrician for over 50 years. You would think I should be able to wire up at least part of a house, but I'd be lost! Don't sweat it, Trent! You guys are doing an amazing job. Have a virtual pumpkin and chocolate chip cookie on me!
That's butter cookie!😃
Oh I love how Frank is enjoying his new friend, so cute.
The new pup is adorable with his floppy ears!
❤️😎👍❤️
I love Leeka's adorable little face and that crooked lil' loppy ear! She's got a good mentor and big brother in Frank. Sweet pup!
Little by little it's coming together, but the dogs look at you like when is our dog house going to be finished. The home is looking good and when it's done you will be able to say yes we built it with the help of very good friends.
I love seeing Frank and Lika playing together! Frank is such a good big brother ❤️
I really got a “charge” out of this episode! Can’t wait for Monday! Everyone needs a break from work, but it is good to watch you make more progress. The pup won’t be a pup for long.....they grow up fast and you guys(Allie) are doing a great job teaching the pup what she needs to know for your family. It will be interesting when you introduce her to Trent’s Mom and Grandparents. It will be interesting when you take her along for camping/exploring. Love from NW Colorado. Thanxz
Love from mid west CO
Those two pups are bonding so well! Frank really did need a buddy. And Lika is just a-puppy-dorable. She’ll get the hang of the stairs one day when you have a treat she really really wants at the other end. But I’ll bet she cries at each step the first few times. Once she gets the hang of it, watch out! Puppies love running up and down stairs. You might want to lay some kind of padding or temporary carpeting on the stairs to break the falls a bit.
So since my husband introduced me to your UA-cam, I am now addicted and look forward to every Monday and Friday! Thank you guys for always thinking of us viewer's! Love your beautiful family of 4!
Hello wifey 😘
@@Jeremiah-TwistedTrucker 😘
At 10:28, my heart swelled with pride, he's such a good guy.
It’s funny seeing you stress over the addition of a new puppy. We just brought twins home from the hospital. You have it easy.
Yes we definitely do compared to that!! Hope you’re all doing well!
Aww...congratulations.👼
Having had puppies and babies, at least babies don't run around the house chewing and peeing on everything the minute you bring them home! They are both hard for different reasons. I have 3 kids, congrats on twins! I can't even imagine double feedings, double diaper duty. Whew! All my best to new parents, (of dogs and kids) ❤
Omg - congrats guys!! Double the fun.. twice the trouble LOL..
Congratulations on the twins! Life will be busy, for sure!
Being a contractor for 28 yrs, I can tell you that when you get to insulation/ drywall your 50% done, so as you said trent you sound like you are right on schedule depending on if your garage is JUST a garage or it has a suite above which I thought I heard u guys mention. If it has a suite it'll be winter b4 your done. Cheers from Canada!😁🇨🇦
I love leka’s ears!!!! They’re so freakin cute. She’s such a lil cutie!!! I’m so glad frank has warmed up to her and now adores her!!
Leeka’s Upright Ear is so cute! Enjoying your channel!
First thing when I finish work on a Friday is tune into your channel to hang out with you guys and see how your week has gone. It's utter bliss.
Allie and Trent, and 🐶 puppies too... you Bless me more than you’ll ever know 😇! Thank You kids for sharing your lives with me... us!
❤️ Love from Michigan
Pup is in a very loving home🙂
Frank's going to be a great brother!
Take care and be Safe!!
The landscape around your house is a snowy beauty… However it’s hard for me to imagine it now… In Philadelphia it’s 82° and spring time today…😎🌞❤️
I left work early today to get some things done, and as soon as those chores were over I turned on the UA-cam with Trent and Allie. My favorite show.
Frank and Lika are so cute together. Frank looks really happy too.😍 Great job on the electrical work.💡
What the hell is all that on your hat Trent? It must be driving you crazy Allie. Even I keep wanting to brush it off. Love you guys!😘💜🐾💘🐾💜
The puppy ears get me every time...l have a German Shepherd grand pup and his floppy ears were a fun time 🐶🥰
I miss floppy ears and puppy 🐾 paws that smell like 🍿 popcorn. I do not miss having a German Shedder. Do Dutch shepherds have 3 layers of fur like German shepherds? Takes forever for them to dry when they swim, and there is more hair in the living space than Trent has sawdust on his stocking cap!
The new pup always looks like he's signaling a left turn, the way the ears flop.
I love your new puppy. She’s very smart and Frank will enjoy having a pal. Thank you for letting us follow as you build your new home in the mountains.
Yes thank u 4letting us wack & your lovely New puppy:leeky,& of course Frank there cute now he has as Sister 😀🌷Great!(Cheryl)
I wired my new basement years back and that had one and 3-Way circuit. That experience almost put me in a mental hospital. In order to be sure it worked before I made it live with AC, I connected a 1.5V battery and two mini flashlight lights and made that go live. It worked the first time I'm proud to say. ALSO...love how the dogs play.
Thought I would see a greenie when your friend showed up. One of the coolest wiring inventions yet!
Good for you! I am delighted that Frank is happy. It matters. You both seem to be thriving. That causes me joy.
Good morning and happy Friday friends !!
It's so cute to see the dogs play together. They will be best buds for life.
It's...the Frank and Leeka show🥰🎉🐾. Great to see you two making such Huge progress. You've got fantastic friends. Blessed, truly blessed 😃
Trent and Allie, Kara and Nate, Eamon and Bec, Snow and Curt...my faves!
Lika!!! Those ears. Awwwwe.
Don't forget if you plan to install under counter lighting which I highly advise you do, you will need to wire & hide an outlet either in the cabinet or just under the cabinets and if you plan to install an above range microwave with vent you will need to wire & hide another outlet behind it or in the cabinet as well. Great job you guys, you're making huge impressive progress. I just love the new pup Lika. Big brother Frank will teach her to overcome her fear of stairs.
OMG Frank & Lika are adorable together. I could have watched a whole video of just those two playing, but I know it's about the house build as well, which I have to say is moving along nicely. It's all the necessary & essential jobs for a while and Trent is doing a fantastic job. I can't wait to see the kitchen go in, I think it will look stunning. Hugs to Frank & Lika. Stay Safe Look forward to the next episode. UK
I love how the dogs are playing together! Frank is doing an awesome job of training the puppy cuz she's gonna be so much bigger than he is!!💜🤩 The electrical looks so complicated and Trent is just doing an incredible job!👏👏Every episode shows how much progress you are making🙌 Stay safe, be well and see ya next time👋👋👋
🐕Purchase and old fashioned alarm clock that makes ticking sounds for the🐾 puppy comfort listening to mommy's heartbeat!!❤
#davesandersstepdaughter
We also found that my grand daughter’s “sleep sheep” with a heartbeat useful for our puppy as well
More puppy please! 😃 waking the puppy up a few times when it sleeps in the afternoon helps for it to be more tired at night.
You people are AMAZING I've been watching you since you were living in the van and it is amazing how far you have come. I just love to watch how resourceful Trent is. You "GO" TRENT......Love your channel.
Frank is such a good big brother! 😘💙
Leila’s cute stand up ear always draws my eye - just like my friends Black German Shepherd’s ear. (Same ear too).
You have some wonderful friends ! The house is really coming together
The dogs playing together is adorable!
Wishing you a nice weekend all the way from Sweden 🌍
Good morning! Watching you on the big screen this morning and commenting on the iPad. I remember teaching our standard poodle to go up the stairs a few years ago. It was funny that she was big enough to make a step easily, but was hesitant/whiny.😉 So excited to see the progress! I know I’m preaching to the choir on that one. And there was light!!! So exciting!!! I love Leka’s ears! Frank is the best! Have a great weekend! See you Monday! Love from SC! Jane ❤️🙏🏻
Leika's floppy ear just melts me! She's sooooooo cute!
Go ahead bring light into the house… Like you bring light in our lives…
😎
“Leeka of the 2 left ears”. She is adorable! Great progress on the wiring, Trent.
Allie... I have a theory. Dogs see things in a very specific way. Your puppy may not see the differentiation between steps and can't easily judge the distance between steps and she's insecure. If you have a way of spray painting the wood different colors on each step about 4 inches OR you can wait until carpeting. Either or. Lots of puppies go through this.
I have that problem too going down stairs when it looks like one continuous runner.
@@Jennifer62389 I'm color blind. I appreciate your struggle. The spray paint can be all white strips too. I have LED lights on my stairs so I can select different colors for each step according to mood and holidays. Great for fire escape or power outages since they use so little energy you can hook them up to a car battery forever.
That’s true they lack depth perception- I just fixed this problem for one dog here.
@@crunchie2851 Right? What was your fix?
Blayne Douglas - white wood stairs - I bought a rubber mat and cut it up to define the stairs - cost me $3
So much hard work.. But, wow you have mastered.. BUILDING A HOUSE! When the drone is up over your house and property, it shows how beautiful it is. ❤ Love you guys.
Great job with puppy training and electrical, you have AWESOME friends to help too!
Ahh yes, the stair monster 👺 is alive and well. Lol. Most dogs are inherently afraid of stairs. After they are comfortable with solid stairs and you meet-up with metal grate or a different texture it may be another training opportunity. Frank & Leica and are so cute together it makes me smile. Good training you 2. 🐾🐾🦴🦴
My old German shepherd would not cross foot bridges of any sort. She loved mountain biking with me but REFUSED to step on a bridge

Good morning Trent and Allie and fellow viewers. Greetings from Jamaica 🇯🇲
Who’s Olivia? Lol
Allie?
@@rainfalls2964 Thanks Rain Fall, was an error
Right back at you from wet Burlington Ontario
Frank is so sweet to the new puppy. All the electrical blows my mind. Lol My stepdad wired his home and it all works perfectly.
I don't care how many mistakes you make Trent, you are a "SUPERSTAR!!!" Allie, you definitely complete Trent with your SUPERSTARDOME, too!!! You are so gracious and a beautiful wife! I'm so proud of both of you. You're a good TEAM!!! I am really excited about the electrical work being done, and I love your humility Trent in admitting you make mistakes, not many, but you do not hesitate to ask for help to ensure you make the necessary corrections and do things right to ensure the success of this rather large project. Real men admit their wrongs and ask for help! I believe you will pass inspection with flying colors!!! You're the BEST!!!!
Can't you better wait with making her walk stairs (with all the soft cartillage that she has a young puppy?) I was always told that walking stairs is not very good for young dogs especially, risking causing a hernia. Could be that that only applies to sausage-shaped dogs (such as dachshunds and the basset hound we had.
Interesting, always learning something new.
Agreed, always carry young dogs up and down stairs..... i was worried as well
You are right Roosmarijn. Be careful with young dogs walking stairs. For heavy dogs like German shepards, also when they are of adult age, it is better not to walk stairs because of their joints and hips. I was warned when I got my German Shepherd.
@@renjansluiman3700 Years ago, we had a German Shepherd and a Black Lab. The Lab would run up and down the stairs like a breeze and the Shepherd refused. Abbie the Lab thought she was very cool.
My family has been living in a hotel for 6 weeks because our pipes burst and trust me eating out for every meal is awful! LOL! I can't wait to have a kitchen again!
Hang in there Dana.....I will burn my toast this morning for you😉✊
@@SilentStorm_5 Thanks! Even burnt toast sounds amazing at this point! 😂
The best part is yet to come.......MUD SEASON.......The dogs will love it!!
I love your comments on how well your puppy is responding to her training. As I observe you and Allie with the training you guys are so very patient and calm with her. She is smart and she knows who loves her and who doesn't; you both are great puppy parents that is very apparent in just how happy Frank is. The stair thing will come with time. Keep up your great work.
Trent may not be an electrician, but he plays one on TV.
LOL
Yes Trent is an absolute amazing individual taking on such a project has just been an incredible trip and then to keep it entertaining I’m really admire Trenton alley… Those are some good people with many talents!

Looking forward to a makeup tutorial form Trent soon🤣💄

Love Lika's long dipstick tail, too cute.
Also Ally's concerned in music is great.
Whomever is closer to the pup, wear an old t-shirt all day. At the end of the day, tie the shirt into a knot and place it in the kennel with her when she goes to bed. This should help her have something close and personal and should help her calm down during the night. Good luck!
There is still time to put a whole house fan up in the bedroom so it won't get too hot in the loft.
Good morning Frank and Lika!💖 Good morning Trent and Allie!💖 Frank, I knew you would be the best big brother ever! Lika, you are a lucky lucky girl! Much love to you all! 💖
Lika? Leeka? Lieka? Leakaah? (I'm having too much fun with this!)
Leka...

Fat fingers here, hit the thumbs down button by mistake, corrected by hitting the like button but could only do it once.
Allie: inside the cabin.. you can take off the dog collar from the pups neck.. her scratching might.. scratch the hair around her neck area... being young the hair will grow back.. but most days.. inside it easier to let her know shes being trained to roam without the collar.
Trent: eat 2 tangerine (orange) when ur hungry in the middle of the day and the other at night (10pm) after dinner.., good for body loads of vitamin C and +Ph for stomach acids especially digestion, leaves u with less stress or anxiety during day. also try some natural lite brown sugar cane cube (No additives; not bleached or refined) good for coffee and just eat like a candy.
Leeks is so cute & getting along with Frank. When my Roxie was around & I was working I had puppy pads at the doors. Sprayed them with spray that attracted them to the smell. I never had to worry about accidents in the house.
🙋♀️ Hello from Romania 🙏
OMG...now just here for Frank AND Laika!!! xx
One suggestion would be when you quit working for the night shut off main water valve and also when you leave for a period of time . Turn on water when some one is there and do this for about a week.
It is a whole lot easier to clean up a water leak when you are there then let it run overnight. My preference would be air pressure with a gauge. Then if loss of pressure would determine a leak with no mess. I worked industrial maintenance at a state university and have seen water leaks left over night. You're doing great job just keep plugging along.
So great when you have someone on board who really knows what they are doing.....not a slam at you Trent ! Just nice to have a supervising mentor who is experienced and can slap your hands and stop you from electricuting yourself. Great to see that Frank and the puppy are getting along well. Stay safe.

@@MissJudyJetson Thank you soo much. 3 People wished a good day on a random person. Even the T&A community is wholesome. Love to to be a part of it
An acquaintance once said, "if I had known how cool dogs were I never would have had kids". I was a bit surprised at the time, but I can totally relate now.
I love how Leka's ear tilts inward. It gives her character. She is adorable. I'm glad Frank llkes his little sister
Allie - one quick PUPPY TIP; you don’t want to praise or encourage (example; “It’s OK, good girl, it’s all right ...”) Lika’s insecure or frightened behavior. In “dog language”, you are inadvertently telling her she is right to be worried.
Try being confident and matter-of-fact. “Yep, it’s stairs.” Let her figure them out without pushing - she’ll watch Frank go up and down and will eventually figure it out on her own (if she hasn’t by now). Making a big deal out of something she finds fearful makes it into a big deal.
Every trainer I have had told me same thing. Also, same thing with thunder and lightening, you should not have any reaction, remain calm. No comforting a scared puppy, they will learn that it’s no big thing. Having an calm, well-trained doggie like Frank... half your problems solved.
