Come closer, young one. There's nothing to be afraid of here, just old stories. Hmm? What's that? Ah, the mural on the wall there... that's the Three Heroes. Don't tell me you haven't heard the tale...? Hmmph, I should have known. Sit thee down there before the fire, and I shall tell you. Long ago, in a land not dissimilar to our own, lived three great warriors. Champions of all peoples, defenders of the innocent. The Raider, powerful and with rage like a mountain storm. From the wild north he came, a guardian of his kind and bringer of riches. The Kensei, saintly and wise, an advisor to his companions. They came from the East, bringing their wise ways to those that needed them. The Warden, honorable and stalwart, challenging the world to bar his path. From the west he came, defender of the weak and the innocent. For years, together the Three Heroes watched over the land, aiding it's rulers and defending it's people against what may have come. Though often they disagreed, still they stood together for the welfare and defense of all. No one was beyond their protection, no task to insurmountable. They stood as a wall against the horrors of the world, and they were beloved by their people. Alas... it was not to last forever. There came a warlord to this land, young and hungry for power. Realm after realm had they forced under their banner, and sight they set upon this one. The Three Heroes stood in their way, and it was then they commanded, 'Slay them, break their backs.' The rape and pillage of the land begun, the armies of the warlord surged over the land and laying waste to all in their path. Little there was that the armies of lord and daimyo could do against this force, and one by one they were forced under the banner of the warlord. But still, there were some who resisted. Folk and warrior both rallied to the Three Heroes, those that had stood in their defense for so long, and even now had been fighting for months to hold back the armies of their enemy. But alas, the warlord's troops seemed endless, and the Three Heroes had fallen back to the great shining city of the realm. There they prayed to their gods for guidance, for strength and will to see their people through. There, the gods blessed them with strength, and decreed, 'only by their own steel may these heroes fall.' Their allies bolstered, the Three Heroes took council amongst themselves and waited. For four days and four nights they waited, for on the fifth dawn the armies of the warlord had arrived. A sea of the foe, banners of those they at one time had counted friends among them. The battle was to be bitter, and the dawn be red with blood. The armies fell upon them, and the day was joined in battle. For countless hours the Three Heroes fought, , casting their enemy down the hillsides in blood and shame. Their former allies were freed of their chains with the release of death, their enemies sent howling to their gods in rage and pain. It seemed that their defense was unbreakable, for no matter how many the warlord sent, the Heroes could not be cut down. But, in deepest night, a spy brought word to the warlord of their weakness. 'By their own steel, the heroes would fall.' The warlord commanded their daggers stolen by this spy, and in the same night their blades were taken away. Battle was joined again and again upon the hill, the warlord casting lives away until the moment was right, for their armies were endless. And eventually, the Three Heroes commanded that the city be abandoned, their people flee into the mountains where they would find safety. Upon the dawn, the Heroes were faced with the champions of the enemy army, the heroes of their own that at last, the warlord deigned to send against them. For this time, they knew that victory could be had. Battle was joined, little did the Heroes know for the final time. Assassins, the warlord had sent amongst their champions. Assassins that carried the steel that would cut the Three Heroes down. For hours they fought, the best of the champions against the Heroes, and for a time it seemed that the Heroes might carry the day again. But then... Disaster. The first assassin struck, bearing runed seax and stabbing the Raider in the chest. The blessing upon him broken, the enemy closed in as they beheld him bleed. Beneath and forest of blades was he struck down, roaring glory upon his brothers in arms, and curses upon the foe. Next to fall was the Kensei. Mourning for the loss of their friend, their blade flashed with skill and power against the enemy in their grief. A dozen, a hundred of the enemy fell to the Kensei in those desperate moments, but skill and vengeance alone was not enough. An assassin slipped past their defense, the tanto of the Kensei in their hand as they lunged... slashing their throat. Drowned in their own blood, gurgling for breath, the Kensei joined the Raider in death. Alone, desperate, the Warden stood his ground. For years he had defended this hallowed ground, stood side by side with his friends and brothers that now lay slain at his feet, and by the Gods he would not fall. Not before their work was done. With blade in hand and litany of vengeance upon his voice, he thanked his friends for their service, cast down the wrath of the gods upon his foe. Endlessly he fought, pain returned as pain he gave in equal measure, an onslaught of blood that never seemed to end. And then... at last... the enemy retreated. It was only then that the Warden realized, his dagger had been jabbed into his side. He was bleeding to death. Collapsing to his knees, the Warden begged the gods to watch over his people as he looked to the setting sun, together with his comrades. Looking upon the setting sun... the Warden too, died. The peace of the realm was shattered that day, the armies of the warlord spreading across the land, plunging the world as we know it consumed by the fires of war. But we remember the Three Heroes, those who gave their lives in desperate battle, in hopes that peace would go on, that the madness might one day be stopped. And that is the legend as we know it, young one. Perhaps the Three Heroes were not as we imagine them to be... perhaps the legend is wrong. But regardless, we remember them. Now... find another tale you would like to hear, and I shall gladly tell it.

Kled yep I agree even though it’s fun to play as him, he’s really op because of his speed... I think his damage is good because he’s a heavy but his speed is the problem... heavies are meant to hit like a truck but not have the speed of an assassin
Then the Raider tried his zone and accidentally knocked the other two off a ledge, and then he got guardbreaked when he tired a heavy and got thrown off a ledge too.
I will never forget this game. Such a unique experience that so few were able to take part in. I think this is a gem of a game that had an unfortunate stumble towards the beginning that make people lose interest quickly. Unfortunate, but I'm glad I got to play it :)

this is the season that i joined for honor, i ended up playing it for a good 2 and a half years. Man, the season 7 music is unbelievably nostalgic to me
I started the game on this season :') everything was simpler that time and also the time I figured out story mode is different from actual multiplayer xD
I started in the last week of Season 6, then been playing through with this song in my menu. Now 119 reputations and 1k hours later I still look back at this time with fond memories

the good times
before the dark times... before the wu lin
Back when I first started playing for honor

Season 7 had the best music. I wish Ubi would bring it back for another season.

I got so excited when I heard the face off music also changed.
It ain't Age of Wolves, but it's darn good in it's own right.
Janfon01 Apollyon's Legacy still has the best face off theme, but Storm and Fury easily takes second place, yeah?
I still miss age of wolves tho shu up ;-;

Coming back to this. The start sounds like an assassin's Creed kind of theme
I remember this one
New Hulda music doesn’t hold a candle to this.
The hulda ost sounds like dog poop. Last good one was the black prior ost

There will probably a new one for Season 8, since it's going to have 4 new characters.
