Bro this circuit is very simple here he uses a ir receiver connected to 277 transistor which is a switching and amplifying transistor
When a remote button is pressed it produce a ir signal and that is recieved by the transistor and get amplified
and this causes switching and activates the motor
And maybe capacitors are used for smoothing or something

Yes I guess but it have good base current like I used BD139 it has a base current of 1A. These motors need good current to run. I tried it with bc547 but it didn't work.
