i know professionals shit on canva a lot, but as as a student who has to make lots of pitch decks all the time, the variety of nice looking templates and the high quality free stock images you get access to with the membership has come in handy so many times! i’m not a web or graphic designer but i like learning about it. i think canva is a lot easier to figure out for a beginner than figma tbh

    1. You can add multiple pages. Create the page as a new design and add a link to it on the main page.
    2. Select the button text and remove the underline (still works as a link)
    3. You can add links to any element, not just the text. Simply select the shape you use as a button and add a link.
Canva has a learning curve to it as well even though it's very intuitive.

I just simply hate this arrogant aproach "senior designers" have with Canva tools. They first assume that there's a limitation and then "ops, it's actually possible" and then again realise the limitation is their knowledge and willness, without even considering all posibilities that made the platform so popular. Feels like they think Canva is a toy for children just because it's easier to use than OLDER devolopment tools such as WordPress - wich is a pain in the *** to learn and create. Open your mind, fellow designers, tools are supposed to be used when it's needed and suitable not to fulfill your ego and status. Explore more and judge less.

Exactly. Specifically for a student like me who is always interested in learning design but the design softwares are so expensive. I mean the so called standard softwares are so expensive. But canva is free which is great. I love canva.

Probably a bit of fear that non-designers can now create a landing page and their service will be redundant. I am so frustrated with other tools, because they assume you had some sort of training. All of those tools are really not non-professional friendly. With Canva I have created some neat landing page. Also; these templates were created by designers so really no need for people to look down on Canva.

Professional programs are not what makes a good designer, it's the ability to use any kind of tools for what they can offer to work smarter, not harder.
Only sin of Canva is the logo maker ahaha but everthing else is very helpful. Absolutely no shame on that.

What i did to make it different pages i designed 4 websites and interlinked it to make it look like a website with a navigation that takes you through different pages rather than it scrolling down as a scroll site

What I love about Canva over other web builders (esp "landing page builders") is that you can drag and drop elements, and place things *exactly* where you want them to go, no more playing with margins, columns, elements, all that time consuming nonsense!

Page top links.... switch to grid view and name each slide.. this will create top naviagtion.
    wit rollovers and alt tags.
Creating a button link - use the button graphic as opposed to the text. (no rollover)

I’ve been using Canva for many design and work projects for the last year, on first glance the aesthetic is off putting but honestly the vast usability of the programme is amazing far out weighs and is way better value for money when you are a start up - I also don’t feel like you went through the programme thoroughly before criticising

I think it is 18pt but maybe it appears bigger in relation to re website document resolution.
For example if yourself original website is 1902x180 pixels and the Canva preset is 1080x720 then the size of the text won’t match

    Hi Team,
My Google Ad is saying my 'website needs a Google Tag' AND that I need to set up 'Conversion Measurement’, May 2023! Can this be done with Canva Websites and if so how? Please help. I cannot see how I would add Tag Text from Google Ads or action the Conversion Measurement with the Canva Landing Page website.
I'm not sure if by not having these up and running whether my Google Ads will be shown to people?
I currently have links from my Canva Page which go to Google Forms to collect guest data.
    Look forward to your insights.
    Thank you,
    Gary

The text technically looks bigger because of Canva Sans Font. Fonts will make text be different sizes even if they are set to a certain size.

If you're using independent contractors to build your sites, do you think canva would be a good way to send them a template of what you want the site to look like, and then the contactor can build in WP, etc?

You missed something. When you click to preview the website as a mobile device at the top left there is a selected button that says “resize on mobile”. If you click to deselect it it will work and your text and images will not be moved to fit the screen. It works! You have to do your research! If anyone tries this out please comment and let me know how it goes.

Did this on a site I created today. Selecting the resize on mobile button works ish. It will resize the site but it’s not mobile responsive. It just scales the images to fit the mobile. Everything stays put but it does get smaller. Overall, I don’t mind it so much. I don’t have to pay for a website. I can just design inside canva.

As a 20+ year senior designer, Canva is an invaluable tool once you take the time to actually learn it and all its features. I wouldn’t recommend this video as a tutorial or know how as he was feeling himself around but it was still ok. Does it replace Photoshop, Indesign or Figma for me - not really but I find myself working in it more because I can use it from my phone and iPad when on the go.

Thanks for this video, Canva have improved now, I think.
Canva can now do multiple web design and link to different URLs of a same domain.
Regarding the element that was not appearing in the section-02, may be we have to duplicate the element and add in the section-02.
The padding error may be removed, when the rectangle are placed at the center of the page.
We can upload fonts and use any font in Canva.

Wow! This was a really bad video. Am not a expert web designer/builder, but the things you were "trying" to do were common thing you actually can do in Canva. This whole video is a smear campaign against Canva which is a great site full of amazing tools. Videos like this doesn't make me want to subscribe to your channel. It makes me stay away from it. Do better reach before putting all that work to create a video of lies. #Shameonyou
