One of many pads included in my forthcoming preset library "Night Lights" for u-he Hive. You might recognize a familiar theme from a 1984 film I'll avoid mentioning for copyright reasons.
Fantastic job. I'm just getting started in sound design as I'm trying to get more well versed on the synth side of sound production, and this is one of the ones I've been trying to nail down and it's a damn tricky one to pull off. Tried to get something with Padshop in cubase and even after a few hours and a whole bunch of effects on the channel it's not quite right. About to try pulling it off in Surge XT, seems like that synth will have better options to dial in the sound.
No one, including the owners of Dune, will care if you say "this sounds like the song from Dune." Anymore than if you said "sounds like the Rolling Stones" or "Ticket to Ride." These are not copywrite-infringing statements or actions.
one of the most accurate redesigned sounds for this track. I love it!
Thanks!

Can never be too careful. I would not be one tiny bit surprised if this video got a copyright strike.
