Like all your videos, - nothing like the trucks or 90% of the machines in the UK, thank GOD you don't put a load of 'rubbish' music on them. I prefer the music of big engines with turbo's going at full throttle and just watching the driving skills that go with it all. To reverse trucks that size just on your mirrors alone takes years to master - I know I've done it, even going forwards can be challenging especially on the roads in our country.
thank you, I agree! ;-) the engine sound is what it's all about. I only put music in timelapse videos or if there was wind noise in the original clip.
Thank-you for your reply, I have 'subbed' to your channel and look forward to a lot of interesting stuff. I know they don't have 'conexpo' every year so as far as that is concerned I will have to wait patiently for the next one. A lot of those 'tractor units' sounded as if they had turbo-charged 2 stroke engines in them or was that just the sound those type of exhausts make, again a sort we do not get over here on trucks, - also the tractor units are just too long.

Why is the Conexpo in Las Vegas and not in Detroit or Chicago ?
Because of the size of some of the equipment and the space available, then add the logistics it takes to transport the equipment. Simple terms, it's just easier and bigger in vegas

There are people whose small region is completely enough. I love these people because they see their little piece of "freedom" as something beautiful. However, I am someone with his heavy truck trying to deliver his freight before the deadline. It does not matter in which country you work. There are problems everywhere. I'm asked though I say that you have to give me a Kenworth with the right gear and all the impossible tours I talk to the guys through how I'm just top in their job. Driving a heavy duty truck is still fun for me. Driving a Kesselbrücke with a W 900 L is not work for me but pleasure. America can be proud of the people who thought up or built a truck like the W 900 L. As a German driver, I bow to this engineering art. Give America the opportunity to drive an extremely strong and visually wonderful truck, take this opportunity and help the state through which you drive. I would consider a 5000 KM tour of America, in a Kenworth or Peterbilt, as a treat. I love this profession and the country America should give me a chance when I've shown that I'm ready to do anything for America. A fuller gear was just something I hated! But then I was one of the few who could or could switch this transmission.

Wow, 7:05 Admiral Merchants , didn't know they were still around like Dallas Mavis, old heavy haul companies. If you noticed the Kenworth T 800 and C 500 are the heavy haul king. Petes, freightliner and Volvo don't make anything beefy enough for a 75-100+ ton load. There good for pulling dry van/reefer ad light flatbed loads.

Can someone explain why some Trailers like the one at 2:35 have extra axles at the rear? It doesnt look like they are carrying a lot of weight.
It's 20,000lbs per axle Felix. The stinger at the rear does carry it's share . The longer trailers with jeeps and stingers distribute the weight better and thus you can haul more. A 13 axle set up can haul 260,000lbs and these loads pay A LOT OF MONEY.
It does what the other person stated. It takes the weight off the first and second axle and when you use the hydraulics on your stringer axle it allows you to put weight on the 4th axle. Reducing wear and tear on the trailer.
@@jameshickey9393 Big loads pay well, but the strain on equipment and roads is costly. It’s not just about the money; safety matters too.
