Hi, sorry if you already know this, and you probably do, but for the hideous mass, you can get a ricochet in between its legs when it’s shooting. It makes it so much easier for hideous mass
hey, it seems like you dont really get how sharpshooter works. the base sharpshot actually does exactly the same damage as a regular shot, but on bounces it gains damage. the best way to use sharpshooter is to find two flat surfaces and bounce it back and forth multiple time to hit enemies multiple times. basically, do your "dribble" more; its basically the only way sharpshooter is worth using. you can do it on walls, not just floors and ceilings. you might be surprised how many rooms in ultrakill have walls perfect for sharpshooting between ive found that the default sharpshooter actually targets heads on bounces so you wanna bounce at head height for the enemies you're fighting. however, the alternate doesnt so just bounce it back and forth at any height. also, the alternate can deal an insane 21.25 damage if you hit every bounce; the standard does 18 if you include headshot multipliers one other thing is that hitting projectiles with the sharpshooter causes a large explosion which deals extra damage. since explosions reflect projectiles, this can actually be used to instakill malicious faces if you hit the first projectile in their burst attack EDIT: the alternate sharpshooter does NOT do that much damage, I thought it had an extra bounce. it does do 16.25 damage max, however it is easier to bounce more than once due to not targetting weak spots. EDIT 2: you can also coinadd with the alternate version off of any surface, even the floor; if you do it right it can actually be stronger than railcoining. i just put up a demonstration on my channel
if you shoot at an enemy’s feet and have it bounce back up and hit them again at least one more time it does more damage than a piercer shot so works for me
@@the_real_skateboard after doing the math, this is the result: Alt piercer at full charge fires six 1.25 damage hitscans (7.5 damage) but without coins only four hitscans can hit one enemy at a time. Also alt revolvers don't deal locational damage so it actually only deals 5 damage even if you headshot. Alt sharpshooter if used as said above will fire two 1.25 damage hitscans (2.5 damage) before bouncing up again at the enemy now with three 1.25 damage hitscans (3.75 damage), and in total dealing 6.25 damage.

a tip for Gabriel for any future runs is to keep sliding when he does the spear attack, it's less draining than dashing, if you're feeling confident you can even parry the spear when he throws it at you
I haven't seen much Ultrakill-related content and wasn't super interested in it before, but after seeing just how fast-paced it can get from watching the first four minutes alone, I'm really considering buying it!
You really should! Best game ever imo. Near infinite replay ability with the Cyber Grind and P-ranks, plus just a ton of fun. And, it’s still under development, so it may get even better!
For anyone trying to get better at the game, I suggest trying to get to at least wave 25 in the cybergrind and learn some new things such as what moves to dodge and what can be parried by the color of the flashes.
@@AA-hd4dythe issue is people focus on style rather than actually killing the enemies, i mostly spammed only whiplash punch revolver railcannon sawblades which got me to wave 51 on violent, if you don't force yourself to use your entire arsenal you're more likely to win
Just an fyi, if you aren't going to get any ricochets then it is better to just use the primary fire. The alt fire does not do any more damage before the first bounce.

A piece of advice for both Gabriel and V2 (Act 1) V2: Easier to fight once you know how to consistently parry their shotgun shots and piercer shots. (yes you can parry the piercer) Gabriel: When he does the ground strikes, slide away instead of spamming dash. (parrying is also useful once you know his move set)
Quick tip: you can interrupt basically every projectile with the alt fire of the Sharpshooter. (every form of hell energy, V2's shotgun pellets, V2's Piercer main and alt fire, and cerb orbs)
Sharpshooter is absolutely Peak idk why you saying its piercer but more situational If anything piercer is the one that becomes situational considering it sees its most potential with its alternate variant and Marksman coins Sharpshooter can instakill Malicious faces, Create red explosions and most importantly its fricking awesome
this is my favorite weapon in the game for the projectile destroying and the honestly op ricoshet i beat swordmachine by just having it follow me and then shooting the wall straight ahead of me and then jumping above it the first time lol also i remember doing like 70% damage on gabriel with this thing with the ceiling bounce
Tips for Gabriel 1. Gabe: Gabe has 3 attacks that he uses. He can attack with spears, axes, and a sword. Spear attack: He will slam down once before throwing the spear at you. Sword Attack: He will slash at you swice before throwing the sword at you. Axes: Honestly, I'm not sure what the weapons actually are, but he just chucks them at you from a distance. When he enrages the attacks change slightly. Sword: He teleports when he goes for the sword throw. Spear: He slams one extra time Axes: I'm not sure about this one, but i think it's faster. You can parry all three of these attacks. You can parry the spear, sword, and axes when thrown. You also get health back up to the hard damage limit.
whole buncha tips for the sharpshooter (from a guy that uses it religiously): The Sharpshooter (when fully charged) can explode and go through projectiles, it classifies projectiles as enemies so when you hit one, the explosion damage and bullet damage increases. this can be used to do heavy/fatal damage to anything that shoots those red or blue orbs The Sharpshooter bounces back and forth between enemies. every time it hits a surface or enemy, its damage increases and is maxed out when it hits that target 3 times (if other non-maxed out targets are hit the damage will still increase even after being maxed out) while its doing so, you can throw marksman coins into the Sharpshooters path to cause an ULTRARICOSHOT. Ricoshots off of coins will increase the number of hits on a single target by the coin's power as though it had ricocheted off a surface, rather than scaling damage like with other hitscan attacks. As coins start with a power of 2, only a single coin is needed to max out each subsequent ricochet's single-target damage. in simpler terms, Bounces x Coins = Damage. However the longer you wait it is more likely to miss. its a Risk Reward system. The Sharpshooter (when spun) produces enough lift to make you jump higher and therefore make it more easy to dribble or to get to higher spots. When you get a dual gun power up, it increases said lift. there is no known limit. sharpshooter more like shartshitter
btw, someone probably said it already but, you can beat ultrakill in any circumstance (i think), everyone progressively gets better, trust. when i was trying to complete 2nd gabriel for the first time, i spent like 135 attempts. then i played the whole game with only fists and spent like what, 65 attempts?
Heres a tip for gaining health back during the gabriel fights, when he chills out for a second use your grappel to launch yourself towards him and fist- I mean punch him for blood

fun tip that you semi found out in the video, aim up or down next to any boss like enemy, or even aim at a wall directly a straight line thru the enemy, the ricochet will deal tons of dmg from hitting them tons of times, even used it in violent mode gabriel fight and it was the reason i could do it, you do not need to jump for aiming down btw, also little fun fact im only good at harmless and violent mode, im bad at all other modes. edit: also you can throw a coin into a beam thats bouncing to deal extra dmg and get more style, you can also throw multiple coins into it edit2: also fun fact you can instant kill maurice with a well shot floor beam if you stay under them while the beam goes so they shoot the beam and it explodes them causing much more dmg along with the already crazy beam that is murdering them edit3: btw the way i beat gabriel on violent was aiming directly up while next to gabriel and firing sharp beam
Honestly when I first started I thought the marksman was the best (I sucked at using it but not now days) and then I got the sharpshooter and boy did I make a mini rail gun out of it
Idk if dribbling had been officially named already because I'm pretty confident it's been found before, but the name goes hard, so I'm sticking with it.
I didn't record any of it, but I just did Prelude, Act I & Act II with only the sharpshooter and slams in 1 sitting that just ended on a completely blank save, out of spite for comical levels dissatisfaction this video made me feel. Levels that required skulls need an arm to be equipped but I still didn't use the arm (whiplash doesn't pick up skulls unless you have feedbacker or knuckleblaster equipped)
I use the slab sharpshooter and what you call dribbling alot after the gun came out to instakill heavy enemies like Andres and Maurices. It also works well if you slide under a virtue and do a similar vertical shred.

it only takes like 30 minutes or something to study and learn how to counter Gabriel’s attacks. once you do, it’s like taking candy from a baby. heck, I arm-onlyed him second try, then P-ranked him arm-only second try. P-ranking 6-2 arm only took me much longer but the P-rank used in my video took two tries.
The sharpshooter is actually super good against minos’s hand because you can super easily ricochet off the walls where his hand is for a ton of easy damage
so it’s just how i first played ultrakill no like my default weapon i used whenever i had no other ideas what to use it’s very funny when you smoosh an enemy in a tight spot and spin the funny gun
I tried this challenge myself, It's possible to beat the game but I was a little ambitious and decided to try and P rank every level with only the sharpshooter, the only levels I have yet to P rank are 6-1 and P-2, with 6-1 requiring a large style requirement for S rank, and P-2 being seemingly possible but I've just yet to do that.
dark souls has taught me that challenge runs are less of a question of "is this possible?" and more of a question of "how much are you willing to die?"
in my casual playthru of ultrakill on standard difficulty, i found myself heavily reliant on the sharpshooter revolver, i bought it the moment i could and it became the star of my arsenal immediately, i used it- and only it- to get through both v2 and both gabriel fights, for me it was the path of least resistance, live laugh love sharpshooter
Slab sharpshooter works like a railgun. It pierces every single enemy in the bullets path, and then it can also bounce back from a wall, effectively oneshotting many enemies
I’m seeing this the same night I finished my Revolver only challenge on Violent (also not allowed to parry), and it really taught me how valuable Sharpshooter is when I barely used it before. Sure it’s a bit situational, but when it works, it REALLY FUCKIN WORKS. Just line up the shot parallel to 2 walls and you’ll melt whatever ur shooting through. Also for some reason when I was fighting the Flesh Prison it just died at half health. Zero clue what happened. I wasn’t parrying, I was just shooting the eyes, but funny Ultrakill moment ig.
Id be shocked if dribbling it hadn’t been widely discovered yet, because thats the main way I use that revolver, but I will say, dribbling is a great name for it and I will use that in the future

Leviathan's projectiles can be blown up by sharpshooter's alt fire. These explosions are dealing a lot of damage :)

Fun fact: in certain versions of the game you can break the wall with the default sharpshooter. Which lets you skip the shotgun. Which is silly.
I'm pretty sure you still get the shotgun from the final encounter.

Honestly when I first started I thought the marksman was the best (I sucked at using it but not now days) and then I got the sharpshooter and boy did I make a mini rail gun out of it
Marksman is still better when you perfect it though.

I didn't record any of it, but I just did Prelude, Act I & Act II with only the sharpshooter and slams in 1 sitting that just ended on a completely blank save, out of spite for comical levels dissatisfaction this video made me feel. Levels that required skulls need an arm to be equipped but I still didn't use the arm (whiplash doesn't pick up skulls unless you have feedbacker or knuckleblaster equipped)

I love the Sharpshooter I finished the game myself with only this gun because I love it (Earthmover was a nightmare tbh)

I use the slab sharpshooter and what you call dribbling alot after the gun came out to instakill heavy enemies like Andres and Maurices. It also works well if you slide under a virtue and do a similar vertical shred.

I tried this challenge myself, It's possible to beat the game but I was a little ambitious and decided to try and P rank every level with only the sharpshooter, the only levels I have yet to P rank are 6-1 and P-2, with 6-1 requiring a large style requirement for S rank, and P-2 being seemingly possible but I've just yet to do that.

in my casual playthru of ultrakill on standard difficulty, i found myself heavily reliant on the sharpshooter revolver, i bought it the moment i could and it became the star of my arsenal immediately, i used it- and only it- to get through both v2 and both gabriel fights, for me it was the path of least resistance, live laugh love sharpshooter
Slab sharpshooter works like a railgun. It pierces every single enemy in the bullets path, and then it can also bounce back from a wall, effectively oneshotting many enemies

I’m seeing this the same night I finished my Revolver only challenge on Violent (also not allowed to parry), and it really taught me how valuable Sharpshooter is when I barely used it before. Sure it’s a bit situational, but when it works, it REALLY FUCKIN WORKS. Just line up the shot parallel to 2 walls and you’ll melt whatever ur shooting through.
Also for some reason when I was fighting the Flesh Prison it just died at half health. Zero clue what happened. I wasn’t parrying, I was just shooting the eyes, but funny Ultrakill moment ig.
