  • TV commercial from around 1970 for Amoco petrol featuring Sharon Redd (an American who came to Australia with the stage production of Hair), Groove Myers (vocals), Peter Clark (bass), Allan Johnston (guitar) and Graham Woodlock (tambourine).

    Great ad. Made in a time where everyone was carefree and had little worry in their lives. Marketing sure isn't applied that way nowadays.

    I used to work for Dolly magazine in the 70s. The promotion disk for Amoco with this song was available inside one of the editions of the magazine. Great song. Still love it.

    I have that red plastic Dolly single with this song. "A Preferential Matter" - yes, it was my sisters' magazine!

    Thank U so much for Uploading this Ad. This was my FAVOURITE Amoco Ad from the 1970's. Even when it came on the Tele in Black & White, my Older Brother & I would Run into the Lounge Room, just to watch it. People would also go to the Saturday Arvo/Night Pictures, Hoping to see this Ad in Colour. I still also Remember All the Lyrics to this day. ♥Your Uploads.

    I wonder how often those filters were changed spoke to the machanics in the day and they never knew of any that were changed.

    In 2020 it's interesting that we don't see petrol companies advertised
