10 Incredible Jurassic Coast Fossil Finds

- Here we have some fossil hunting finds i made along the Jurassic Coast. These fossil specimens are finds from the past and present. You really need to know what you are looking for when you're out fossil hunting . I recommend wearing safety glasses and sturdy rubber gloves when hammering the right rocks. Remember the cliffs are dangerous and liable to fall suddenly and without warning. Keep away from the dangerous cliffs, the best fossils are washed out onto the beaches at low tide, by the sea's actions. Look out for the slippery seaweed on the ledges and rocks. I offer fossil walks along the Jurassic Coast on the following website, so feel free to take a look at the website I made, with our online fossil walks ------www.lymeregisfossilwalks.com There is a fossil collecting code of conduct in place along the Jurassic

An excellent video that highlights the variety of fossils that can be found in the Lyme Regis area.
Many thanks!
Fantastic variety of Lyme Regis fossils.
The liparoceras is the best I've ever seen.
Thanks very much Mike, cheers for your comments.

Great stuff I’m glad your getting some fossils together 🙌
Awesome finds as always, love the Lapidary work Brandon ❤
Thanks 🙏 so much. I look forward to showing you some more lapidary work! I especially want ti show you some of the petrified wood when it’s all polished up - one day !
Thanks for sharing! I will be there mid August for a few days. Good to see what to look for.
Thanks 🙏 very much. I’ve got one video that’s a bit boring that’s called “ Ammonite Lyme Regis.” That’s worth watching on how to find the small perfectly formed ammonites
Fantastic Brandon. Some amazing specimens.

Very good finds!
Thanks 🙏 very much.
Love the channel, my family and I were down in Lyme Regis and Charmouth fossil hunting mid March. I'm sure I saw you, possibly coming back from Pinhay Bay(could be wrong). Didn't want to interrupt your day with some random approaching you though. With the large liparoceras ammonite fossil you have, do you have any pictures of it before what we see in this video? just so I can get a idea what to look for, as I'm amateur at best and don't want to just be smacking things with the hammer. Thanks.
Thanks 🙏 for the comments. I was walking back along from Pinhay a lot in the Winter months - at low tide. Are you on Instagram I can send you a photo
Loooooove show and tells!
Thanks 🙏 for watching
😀
Thanks 🙏 Liam
А куда же делась вся черепущка. Там же он был, смотрела как раз об этом в видео.
I’ve got one whole skull of an Ichthyosaur that’s in the Lyme Regis Museum.
hi i went and found a stone with an exposed ammonite. How do i get it out without breaking it
There are many factors involved with if it’s worth getting out of the stone or not. You can send us a picture if you want me to look closer at it .
Do you have an email I can send it to
