    just bought one of these for my 10 year old daughter.. The L model so she can grow into it a bit. She's outgrown her PW80.
    I do prefer Yamalube in everything that doesn't require special though. Sometimes full synthetics can cause clutch slippage. Royal Purple used to do that with my Honda all the time. Thanks for the vid!

    for future reference you don't have to take off the skid plate. you can access the drain bolt through the skid plate. that's what the whole is for.

    Thanks for the video. I managed to get through the entire process just fine except when I tightened the oil filter housing back to the engine using a oversized torque wrench, i made the mistake of over-tightening which stripped the housing on one of the two screws. Do you know of a lower engine assembly that I can buy to get my oil filter in place without the minor leak that it has now?

    id like to ask, the manual says 1.1 quartz and thats is the amount of oil you put on the bike, my question is why did you add additional oil to your bike? whennyou put 1.1 quartz of oil. and also the bike is maybe not at its straight position.

    • @dylanwestbrooks8016
      @dylanwestbrooks8016 6 років тому +1

      TheMichael Arch because one Quart of oil is 1.0 quart so he put .1 quart of oil so it will be filled up properly

    Is the Valvoline 10w40 full synthetic? If so does it work pretty good?

    • @mattdobson123
      @mattdobson123  6 років тому

      yeah, that oil was specific for 4 stroke motorcycles and was full synthetic. It worked awesome for that bike!

    Is this motor oil or transmission oil and what do I use on the motor oil and transmission oil?

    • @mattdobson123
      @mattdobson123  10 років тому

      on this bike they are the same oil. I like to use a motorcycle 4 stroke oil. It depends on your riding conditions, but you can use 10-40 (colder weather) or 20-50 (hotter weather)

      +matt dobson somebody is selling this bike for 300 but it needs a carburetor and throttle cable should I buy it and where can I get this parts thank you

    • @mattdobson123
      @mattdobson123  8 років тому

      +Brayan Ramirez I would buy it.. You could get it fixed for under $200, and resell for $800+

    • @kylenightingale1391
      @kylenightingale1391 7 років тому

      Andrew Sitompul it depends how much you ride. If you race like me change it every 2-3 races. But if you don't race you can change dirt bike oil every 3

    • @kylenightingale1391
      @kylenightingale1391 7 років тому

      Andrew Sitompul every 3 months

    About when should you change the oil and the filter?

    • @mattdobson123
      @mattdobson123  9 років тому

      +Brandon Nixon (Nixon's Tech) - you'll get many different answers.. it really depends on how much you ride. Most will you tell you at a minimum at least once every season.. I do it once a year.. The manual for most motorcycles state: 600 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first.

    • @kylenightingale1391
      @kylenightingale1391 7 років тому

      Brandon Nixon oil every 2-3 months if trail and free riding. If you race every 2-3 races.

      +Lucas greeson You should be OK. My 8 year old daughter can tip-toe and touch the ground while she sits on it. You can also wear a pair of work-style boots with big heels to help increase your height a little.
