I had momentarily forgotten the Blue Mountain Quarry's theme, as such it made the reveal of Owen all the more surprising! Lovely incoporation of him, we usually tend to see RWS characters incoporated into a TV series style so its rare to see the opposite work :) The camera work whilst lovely as usual, particularly gave off a great sense of height if that makes any sense? The shots of the land rover really felt, high up and precarious. The ending was a great ensemble of the entire crew then as well, reminded me of the TR doing the same in their rare occasion of all the locos in steam. Well done all in all, watching all four stories in one go is in order soon 😁

It didn't convey as much as I wanted it to, but Ivo can't actually see Owen at the quarry due to the mist, he just hears this booming voice coming from the sky, so I wanted to have as many angles showing the vast change in height between them.

I think it was originally a lost treasure reference, but now that you mention it, seeing as that vlog snipper was filmed on the real inclines it might have subconsciously been that!
This series of stories was truly wonderful! I love how you developed the character without making him just another key figure; giving him autism was a thoughtful touch. I've also noticed that in this episode, he's been more willing to make eye contact, especially with Owen and during the orchestra scene. I really enjoyed it, particularly the moment when Fred was a bit out of tune; that felt so true to his character. One of my favorite parts has to be the introduction of Luke. I would love to see a series focused on him! I believe he and Ivo could both be on the spectrum and form a great friendship, plus they're both Irish, which I find delightful. You did an outstanding job! My hats off to you for your amazing work and models. Keep it up!
A great end to this four-part book series on Ivo Hugh. I should have known by the thumbnail but I was surprised to see Owen as well as Luke at the end. What else can I say I've enjoyed watching all four parts. Keep up the good work Max!
This was a perfect 4 story book about Ivo Hugh. I love that Ivo loves music which I think is sweet and refreshing. I laughed at 5:35 because I had no idea until 6:00 came and I just smiled. Making Old Town Road but with Thomas melody was genius and it works. The ending was hilarious and wholesome. I love every single bit of this episode. I love the new quarry and was surprised to see Owen. His model was well made. I’m inspired. Well done Max! Can’t wait to see what you’ll do next.
An end of a great arc for young Ivo, this is has been the most down to earth series that has truly become one of your greatest achievements in filming and I can’t wait to see what you’ll build upon this journey.

I love how the trucks on the Skarloey Railway are just a little dim-witted and not troublesome unlike on the big railway. Also love how you incorporated the BMQ as the Rheneas Quarry which I thought about too. Finally, I love how all the engines whistle at the yards just like how some of the galas end, and how Fred gets his wish to be recognized, only in a annoying Fred way. Great work Max, this series has inspired me to write an SKR book of my own.
I know I'm a little late to the party, but this was a treat to watch, and amazing to watch Owen in action. Also the trucks commentary was funny as well Cheers, and keep up the good work!
I love the individualism of all the new characters, those sweet little trucks like two grandmothers, the annoying farmer, Owen at the "NEW Quarry" with an appropriate cover of the song. Clever little set-up with the cow in the truck from episode two, and bulls from episode three. Fred finally being included, and then seizing his opportunity to be a nuisance, shows his type. Ivo the Engine (Funny) is adorable, sweet removal of the letter F for 'Our Little Engines'. And a new character, accidentally looked ahead so got spoiled of it. Great series, Ivo Hugh may have not been given the chance to offer something new in the original show, but at least there is representation of number seven, cannot say the same for the diesels.
I like this Mini-Series and the Model Work, and I also like the Blue Mountain References in the Music, when Ivo entered the Quarry, the Whistle Chorus, and inclusion of Owen and the End Scene with Luke
Once I heard that converted blue mountain mystery music, my first reaction was “Nooo Way”. This series has been very nice, breathing life into a pretty much dead franchise. Keep up the great work man 👍🏻
You got to love "our little engines". Easily the best Ivo Hugh stories and add a lot to a pretty nothing character in the RWS. 12:12 Wait.. WHAT? Where was Luke in this? My favorite Irish boy 😇

The idea that engines will play tunes when they have two whistles is such a fun one. I loved in Tone Deaf, and I love it here. I also love the little Lowrider ditty as he leaves the quarry. Excellent work. May I ask, what accent does Ivo Hugh speak with?
I must say it's an interesting story I do wonder how the whistle song would have sounded like if the engines had the model series and the CGI series whistles Well done with another great story!
This was, for lack of a better term, "peak". The story is very wholesome, and Ivo's idea was pretty clever! Also, is that the one and only Keith The Wickham Trolley at 8:44?

Love this story! The fact that you managed to include Owen in your interpretation of Rheneas Quarry (and Luke by extension) is honestly really impressive. Truth be told, I was thinking that the finale would involve the ranger rover stealing from the quarry and Ivo Hugh would have to use his cleverness to stop it. But this is just as good! Love the references in the music throughout! Overall, a lovely story! Although, what was the last song with the whistles supposed to be?
