You should travel while you can before you get to old or unable. She was very wise. Forty four years later and niether of us are able to travel now like we could then. Enjoy yourselves. God bless
Wow, just stunning! I love visiting these historical mansions. If you haven’t been to the Biltmore in Asheville, you’re missing a spectacular mansion and grounds! It can take an entire day to see if you tour the house and grounds! I’ve been there 6 times and would go 6 more! It’s breathtaking 🥰❤️
I was noticing how much this looked like Biltmore in Asheville NC on the inside then you said Vanderbilts lived there, and that was the family name of the Biltmore estate as well, so they must have been related and enjoyed the same taste in decorations thanks for sharing, great they let you film inside, they don't want filming inside Biltmore which I did know know until after I filmed it lol that's an autistic thing for me lol I don't notice things until later on
Sadly, Mr. Vanderbilt gave the house to his wife, Alva, as a birthday present and just a few short years later she divorced him and married a neighbor. Mr. Vanderbilt's brother built The Breakers which is the largest of the Newport Mansions.
Enjoyed the video. You did a great job showing the mansion. Newport is my favorite place to visit. It's amazing that these opulent mansions were just their summer cottages. If you go back to Newport you should visit the Breakers mansion. It is the most extravagant mansion in Newport.
Such an amazing mansion . It looked like like you were in a European castle. You captured some of the amazing details of the architecture and vintage furniture. Thanks for sharing with us. Enjoy your trip.
Will and Dawn, thank you for sharing this video. The workman ship of the people that made all of that was VERY impressive. Looking forward to our next video as we travel along with you guy's ! thanks again ! 🤓💕👍
WOW! What a beautiful mansion that was. All the gold and the marble.I can't imagine how much a house like that would cost to build, especially these days. Thanks for taking us on the tour. I have never been there, but I have been to Boltmore house. I thoroughly enjoyed it. You sure have had quite a road trip adventure.
I went to college in providence, but the summer before school my parents and I took a day and visited Newport, very nice area, also I worked in Narragansett for the summer kinda like a school work program for college.
Oh my gosh, you are in my favorite place that I lived growing up...I loved RI, my dad was in the navy in Newport, we lived in Portsmouth, which is a short drive from Newport...loved it soooo much and miss it.
You would think eventually the high temperatures will destroy those houses on the inside. I understand built before AC but still trying to preserve them
Wow 😯 so beautiful Marble house very amazing 🤩 Mom and I always love tour Biltmore Estate house, Asheville, NC very huge house has 4 floors many rooms, bathrooms, more etc. So beautiful Biltmore Estate house. ❤ Will and Dawn plan to Asheville see huge house Biltmore Estate. Love it.
The interior of that mansion reminds me the Versace mansion in Miami Beach. There is a phrase that says...to whom God gave it St. Peter blessed it. Great videos guys! 👍💯👍
Beautiful skies everyday in that wonderful home. What a gorgeous fountain! Great video footage Will! Like how you showed the whole outside leading up to going in, with a look at the flowers and the way the home sits on the land. Stunning! Those frozen drinks looked good 🍋🍉 Thanks for sharing this nice historic area!🤗

I realize that this may not be the most opportune moment, but you need to visit the World War II museum in New Orleans. It’s my favorite museum of all time.

This reminds me of The Biltmore House in Asheville, NC
That’s my hometown x 50 years ❤ #Asheville NC
They sure knew how to spend money. Not like today when the rich and famous buy off the rack. Nothing is unique or one of a kind. Thanks for the video
Have you ever been to the Biltmore House in Ashville?
No
Wow that sure is a mansion. Just being a guest you get the best. Was it hot in there without ac? ❤

Extraordinary for what it is! Not for me. I love csbin cozy and a homey feeling. That place was "show" only for their rich counterparts 😮

No AC. No elevators. Too many stairs.
Beautiful, but I'll keep my one level house. Enjoying your trip. Thank you for sharing!
Will the Brig Niagara commandered by Oliver Hazard Perry is docked in Erie PA is this a different tall ship? It looks just like it.

Is the marble house made of marbles, LOL?
