Watching Pete play is fantastic. Self-deprication, humor, humility, really good golf. I need to emulate his approach. Thanks, Pete!
“My pastry laden English hands” this man is a legend. Shakespeare has nothing on this man!

This type of content is some of your best!
Great video Pete, That camera View on the 8th through the Trees pure class 👌🏌♂⛳
Love this format ☺️ Knocks all the break this or that vids. I especially love the leaderboard and crowd reactions. Also Pete's game is trending👌
Thanks!
While the incident on the 3rd/7th tee was probably the most Petery Finchy thing I've ever seen on this channel, this was a really fine round of golf given the conditions. Your honest assessment of one of your rounds is always refreshing. Having a caddie may well have saved you some shots, especially as you were having issues with the pace of the greens on the front nine and could have made all the difference in the long run. Still, another great video. Looking forward to the next one!
You know what Pete.... I'm really looking forward to seeing how your mental game improves over the latter part of 2024 after your recent chat with Padraig. Golf is 50% mental and if you can conquor that then there's no looking back.
This was a gem - had me genuinely laughing out loud, and at same time enjoying some really good golf in testing conditions. I’ll even forgive the “moving day” faux pas ;-p. Great work!
Oooofff, surprised the range finder came out. Thought Pete would be all over a yardage book for this one
The reference to "by the power of Greyskull" !! Absolutely brilliant!
I thought there were people actually clapping for you Pete on the first hole 🤣 but then I heard the same sounding claps over and over 🤦🏻♂️😅
Great video mate, keep up the great work team! 👌🏻👍🏻
We all struggle on superfast greens, and if your a pop putter by nature it will always be a challenge. Great perseverance sir.
Best youtube golfer to watch in my opinion then grant horvat
Should have more subscribers and love the on course format
Watch this more than any golf these days
Keep it up pete 👍
Peter Finch
Chin-up, brother… you’re still the man. Getting a feel for the greens and yardages are what practice rounds are all about.
Love the game. Love your clubs. Love the opportunity to play courses like that.
Keep up the great content
Well Pete, your monologues definitely leave little to the imagination 😂😂
A string of funky holes, let’s go Peter.
Always the best.
Your dry, self deprecating humour is bloody brilliant! 😂
I know right, i pissed myself laughing after his double bogie.
Always love when a new video drops :)
Thank you for watching them
Can't believe the state of the course certainly rough in places that being on the fairway 😳😱
Still my favourite golfer. So entertaining. I'd watch your channel over a masters.
You’re playing my local course on Friday good luck!!
Peter Finch has the best golf videos on UA-cam by far!
This needed to be played after you were given advice by Pádraig Harrington. 😂😂👍👍😎😎
Before I’m afraid 😅
Can I just say it!!! Let's freaking go 🏌️
Pete played great 💪😄👍
great putt on the 4th hole
Good video really looking to the proper qualify can you say whatever date it is so I can put it in my diary
Front nine card looks like a checker board with all the squares 😅
24:56 - "You know what? I think we're gonna be OK!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
"Moving day" is the third day (Saturday)
You can move down (and out).
Great C that on the back 9
Looking forward to this one!
Boom! Lets go!
are your mic settings loud enough at the beginning Mick lol
Yeah the boys
Not showing in my subscription page.. I am deffo subbed...!!!!!!
dammit, now i have the cranberries in my head for the rest of the day!
Love the content Pete & Co keep it up! 💜 Not a fan of the sound effects personally and isn’t moving day round three Mick? 🤔
Said it in a previous video, say it again. Would like to see more videos where you have a proper caddy to help with the mental game and course management.
Played some great stuff in that round just 3 putting those early holes on did the damage
For sure.
That was good. Not that far away. As ever Peter you are very harsh on yourself. Things are almost there. Summer is gonna be a good’un
Why do most if not all UA-cam golfers not leave the name of the golf course they are playing in the description? Is it a rights issue, laziness, spelling inefficiencies?
Pete, can we talk about your hat game this year.
What was that bird calling that Peter was doing? I live 1/4 mile from the entrance to that course and never heard anything like that. Maybe a Norwegian Bluey? Lovely PLU-mage. 😂
Mr. Finch is incorrect. There are in fact PLENTY of alligators in those ponds.
Horrible to see Pete having a bit of a dud. Just didn’t seem locked in. Know exactly how it feels. Go in confident and raring for it, tee off and just know it is going to be one of those days 😂
Peter, you would make the cut in any PGA event. You need more time to practice, but you sure have the swing and mental strength.
Pete with this putter you are putting much better than the 7 of same ai technology stroke is amazing with this one and previous movie with the qualification it was amazing.
30:47 shy ronnie
Bring back Stenson Molinari mantra to keep Pete in zone
Monster from Manchester again proving he is the most entertaining multiple tour player on the planet.
20:43 woof woof woof ⛳
17:45 You forget Padraig's words that quickly?
Thanks Pete, yes we're not doing too bad, thanks for asking.
Maybe get regular length in the blue? Then you might not worry about the hook so much?
Note to Peter .. 150 posts are to middle of the green :) .. was shocking to not hear Chip and Sandy’s dulcet tones commenting ;)
We needed Brandon back!
Was anyone else confused by this? I thought Peter was actually participating with the leaderboard in the beginning but it looks like this is a "what if?" video. Got me with this one. :)
Not really, although it looks like he's top, the number before his name on the leader board is his position, hope this helps
Going by the earlier qualifying video, which he did not win, I'm not surprised, but the thumbnail was a little clickbaity.
Me too, so I quit watching it after first hole
Fake news!
He's playing like it's Friday and trying to make the cut for the weekend and had to wait to see what the cut was to edit in. Obviously he's not playing with crowd just played the course and comparing it to what the field did.
Took your time, Pete! Good to see you’re in good form
PETE. you need that big ass putter back. Sink more puts ;)
Your low key number 1 or 10th supporter 😊
I'd really love to see you see a sports psychologist. You would benefit so much and could set an example to all that seeing a psycologist is a very helpful tool. You can improve you swing all you like. The mental game is where the improvement comes from.
F bomb dropped on the missed put at the 6th @ 20:30
On the 7th, with the drive, mine would have been so much shorter the bunkers would not have been an issue.
150 marker to the front? It could be, I guess. But I've never played a U. S. golf course where the markers weren't 150 to the center of the green.
Peter: I’m going to hit a high one into the wind, let it caress the ball onto the bank and release gently onto the green and trickle close to the hole
Shot: nothing like that
Loved that... Can you do a lesson on Aim Point - No idea what is going on with that! Thanks as always Pete
Using that UA-cam search function, "golf aim point". You're welcome!
as entertaining as the self abuse is , it is also better when you immediately let that thought fly into the wind and begone ... so be nicer to yourself i know this was before padraigs advise but its technically the same advise you gave to (i think it was horvat) a little while ago ...just gotta LIVE it yourself and enjoy that you are such a good all round human ...also love it when kieren and jacob do commentary on these type of ones ...other guy on podcast is the only reason i dont like the podcast ...also suggestion again peter and kieren or jacob vs another content creator and member of their team who is mid or low handicapper ....love the banter and the ones of peter vs whole team are ALWAYS gold thanks for everything
When did considering the grain so much become a thing?
Southern US courses have grasses where grain can really effect the ball
best youtube golfer there is
well theres allways next year lol
4 cm?!? You are in the USA Pete! You missed it by 2 inches!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
He was a better golfer as a cutter rather than a drawer, not as far but more consistent, a more consistent miss, and more consistent distance control
Trunk slammer
Big fan of the claps guy tell Pete I said to earn them😂😂😂
17:45 I’m going to be that guy, sorry: Alligators love all meat, including rotten. Actually rotten meat, since it has such a strong smell, is more likely to attract alligators to it
If Rory is the best driver on tour Pete is second
How come you can hook a ball when you don’t want to and can’t when you need to 🤔🤔🤔🤔
The graphic at the end said Was 18 a par 3 - didnt look like it! And didnt you score a 6 on it or were you short of the water with the 8 iron?
someone get him a course map
challenge a tour caddie
Hi!
Don't worry Pete. You've got a really horrible round at Fleetwood coming when you get home 😃.
Seeing into my future!
So close to being perfect...
A few less mistake shots and you are there.
Ha-ha-ha. Was this a "spot the errors"? Apart from caddy cars and range finders (mostly) not permitted on PGA tour events, there was no two-stroke penalty for playing the 7th instead of the 3rd (when supposively Finchy had already played in Round 1).
Well the lack of a real gallery, no sponsorship signage, the use of power carts, no caddy, and the player explaining every shot to the camera seemed to scream 'not a real tournament '
Why do you keep updating your clubs, then use the excuse that you don’t know the yardages yet ? Seems pointless to throw them in the bag until you really know how they perform.🤔
Gotta play them on courses to get the yardages dialed in. It's always slightly off just hitting in a simulator, so you're always going to have that adjustment period.
Not to mention that he plays in England and here he’s in Myrtle Beach and elevation is a factor too but let’s not forget that he also has access to tons of clubs for free or close to free. I’d be changing it up and so would you.
When a racer sets a world record, they never rest and don’t see if they can’t find a faster combo. It isn’t like 40-50 years ago when a player had a set of clubs for ever and just stuck with them. Hell, pros have trucks on standby to make adjustments to wedge and Iron lies and grind angles throughout a tournament.
@@91scalloped yes , but clubs change f_ck all over a 3 year period, yet these guys are changing them inside of 12 months !
(26:30) "I'm out early, in the featured group..." Uh... you started in 60th place at -2, you would NOT be in a featured group!! (and it's spelled BRANDT Snedeker)
Score cards all over the place. Is he not 2 over after 3?
OMG I've played on that course. It's full of alligators!
Someone was very excitable on the back nine. Gonna sleep well tonight.
Those fairways look horrible. 😳
Careful Peter! Alligators and crocodiles 🐊 love rotten meat. 😂
Not really happening is it??
I think your ball striking is good enough to be competitive at this level, but you need to spend time on PGA greens and you need to really up your course management / strategy / shot selection / aim points game. Of course this is just a youtube vid, but doing the homework, knowing where to leave your puts, getting the yardages right, etc will most likely be your most effective path to lower scores. You can do this IF you commit to it. (just one web wienie's opinion)
Bear in mind, The Dunes is a very tough track. 7500 yards from the tips with a slope of 149!
The course looks like a rag, one of the reasons I will not go back to "The Beach" again, so disappointing.
If you'd got your finger out you could have shown us the real thing
The object of the game is not to make the cut. It's to win the tournament.
nice to see how average these youtubers are
