When it comes to the top 100 guitarists of all time, Jose is in the top 5. And Bing Crosby was much cooler than most people realize.
I'm in the UK and about 7 years ago I got home from a night out, put tv on and this exact clip was showing of a feature programe about bing Crosby. I was so impressed with Jose who I didnt know of and did a quick search to see if A, he was still alive and B, if and where he was playing. It just so happened he was playing for the pope that night in Italy and was flying to england to play at a jazz/blues event the next day down the road from me! I managed to get tickets and was privileged to see him play live and appreciate his talent first hand less then 24 hrs after discovering him.

Two cooler cats couldn't have come together for a better jam session. Bing is just so layed back, hip, cool...he had one of the deepest soulful (natural) Bariitone voices in Pop or Standards. He really had a feel for music. When he had his show he sang and did duets with many artist of different genres. Jose is just raw talent, behind that guitar he was on fire. He could make it charge like a frieght train or have it sing a beautiful lazy melody. His singing a phrasing quite unique as well.

Yes, there are great talent Paco is a fantastic in flamenco, Tommy Emmanuel is so fast, and other from latin america and spain fot those fields.. but NO ONE has the wide range of Jose Feliciano. Check funny things like this video.. but Jose plays equally classical pieces at same level, Jazz tune like songs of his "norwegian Wood, Flamenco, Blues, Latin, Folk.. just to Hard Rock -check hos version of Jimi hendrix Purple Haze...

José is not only an excellent guitarist and singer, he’s FUNNY! Not truly reflected in this clip, but he has quite a sense of humor. He says he almost made his mother have a heart attack once by faking being the driver on a car right next to another one she was riding, and saying hello from the steering wheel. He’ll play parodies in his concerts and make practical jokes on radio programs. A true legend. Greatest thing to come out of Lares since the Grito.

I find it hard to believe some people here who don't know who Bing Crosby is, fucking hell. Jose Felicianco is fantastic as usual. and the old crooner provides some pleasant backing.

Bing actually recorded lots of jazz songs, and his sense of time was incredible. To hear examples of his sense of time, listen to "Dinah", "Sweet Georgia Brown", "Shine", and "Some of These Days".

Bing knew artistry when he saw it. Plus the old master still had a few tricks up his sleeve vocally.
When Bing started his career as a jazz singer he roomed on tour with the great Eddie Lang, who influenced the incomparable gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt. Django died in 1953 thinking his unique style was passe, unaware that Crosby was scouring Europe in search of him. What magic those two musical giants might have created together boggles the imagination. Such a pity Reinhardt didn't live to hear Jose! He appreciated great musicians as much as Bing did all his life.

Pero José Feliciano no usó su vista, solo su oido y aunado a eso ha Cantado y muy afinadamente, razón por la cual, no es el mejor guitarrista del mundo, sino de todo el mejor guitarrista de todo el UNIVERSO. Natural Acoustic Music
I play live, ambient acoustic music. I have been recording myself playing around town, at my house and with friends the last few months and wanted to share some of what I have done.
I play about 20 instruments and although guitar is featured the most it is only because It and the piano work well as solo instruments. I love the flute and standing bass the most :)
I am horrible with software and the stupid computers of today. I just do not care to use them so the music is all from a mic with only a chorus button available to me. I personally like this because I can always play my songs where ever I am. I write them so they are playable with two or at most three people. I do not take this serious however I would like to keep doing it if it is not offensive.
90% of what I play is made up on the spot. I will decide what scale and about how fast I want to play however that is the best I can do to start myself off. I usually play for about ten minutes then hit record and play for an hour. When done sometimes I have a song or three and sometimes I just played random stuff for an hour haha. I am cursed with being able to make shit up all day long but never remember what I had done right after I did it. This is why I call my music ambient or hippie gypsy. All of the change ups are me just forgetting what I am doing and recovering the best I can haha. I am happy to be amateur, it is stress free!
I have no lyrics. I can sing however I am not wanting to share my thoughts as of right now. As well I think that music's failures have been the introduction of words. It started without it and I think will end without it. The reason for it is to express what words can not. If a picture is worth a thousand words then how much is a feeling worth? Plus it has all been said already and should be quoted, you and I are not thinking of better ways to say it. Redundancy is rampant.

This reminds me of the acoustic fireworks heard on Jose's "Alive Alive-O" LP of the 1969 London Palladium concerts. The final cut, "La Entrada de Bilbao" featured sound effects worthy of a movie!
