I was 9 years old when I first watched this video, and I used to watch it many times during that period. I revisited it at different times in my life. It's been a while since I last returned to it, but somehow, it means a lot to me. When I discovered this space, I was truly happy. I am not anymore, but this video is like a return to another space, another time, another feeling. That's the beauty of memories; you relive what you have already experienced. For a moment, you become the person you used to be. Suddenly, when the memory ends, you find yourself in the miserable present where everything seems right, normal, in its place, in order. But there's a void that invaded you long ago and won't let go. You should be happy and grateful for everything you have, and you try to be, but the emptiness is more powerful than the good and the bad things. It is as if the rock is pushing Sisyphus towards an infinite abyss that never has an end. Existence has become cruel and meaningless. Am I still alive? It's been so long since I felt anything, since everything I liked stopped interesting me, and anything I search for and try doesn't evoke any feelings within me. This video reminds me of distant times when nothing worried me, when simply living was a cause for joy, and everything felt eternal. Thanks to this video, I remember that I am still alive and that I must continue living. =)
I’m so grateful that you put this all into words for me. For - just like you - Captain America has always given me the courage to push through my struggles and hopelessness. I do still have a glimmer of hope that I’ll make it past this level in life and help others to do the same. Eventually. We can do this all day 😌
This is such an amazing comment. Thank you for being able to put these beautiful words in writing. I really feel for you. I feel the same way. I’ve only just discovered this now. But because I watched other similar ones. I can’t believe this one was over 10 years ago, and not even a million views yet. It’s really subtle, and those who find it may just have gotten lucky. I really love this video. Thank you for being so honest. I hope you’re doing okay. It’s been 8 months since your comment here. Please reach back out when you get a chance! Would love to hear from you. Take care of yourself my friend. ❤
I just got punched in the feels for 5 minutes and 13 seconds of my life. This is one of the greatest tribute I've seen to Captain America. I would have thought that the song wouldn't match or anything with the video, but I was impressed, honestly. This is probably my favorite video on UA-cam and I've watched it like 20 times over, crying each time. Good work. :)
I just have to pop in here and say that I LOVE this fanvid. I downloaded it like a year ago and have watched it COUNTLESS times. Thank you for making such an amazing tribute to Steve!
I've seen other amvs that bring tears to my eyes, but this makes my stomach drop. It portrays Steve in such a saddening but beautiful way. Ugh. You're unbelievably awesome for making this. Thank you for sharing it.
This... has been in my watch later playlist since 2013. I'm glad I finally got around to watching it. Beautiful edit. Beautiful song choice. Gave me a perspective I had never fully considered about the his journey and development. Great work.
I got emotional the first time I saw this video and I've watched every single day this week at least three times. It's so nice to see a video with minimal editing and effects make such an emotional impact.
This is honestly one of the best tributes I've ever seen. It really shows that there is a real man that has lost and is still losing bits of himself. The use of Erskine's quote in the beginning is genius. Well done!
This is wonderful, you did a really nice job. If you're like me and have a very special place in your heart for Cap, then this hits you right in the feels.
Honestly I thought this was going to be a tribute video where the song doesn't match but oh my god that song was perfect and this video was perfect. Like damn it got me somewhat emotional, great work.
I really enjoyed watching this. You somehow managed to catch Steve's humble attitude and resilient, noble spirit. I also think you really captured his position in the Avengers, and how he feels. It had a slightly nostalgic feel about it, which also really fitted into his story-line arc. Thanks for making it. :)
I seriously love this video! I first saw it a couple years ago, but then I forgot about it...well then I found it again and here I am!!!! It's still as amazing as the first time I saw it ! Well done! 👍👌👏👐
Wait, so even that part with Cap walking through the streets was from The Avengers? I don't remember seeing that, or him drawing the city, and meeting the waitress from either movie?
Stark made the comments he made because, with all the wealth and fame he has, he'll never have what Cap has, and that's HEART. Sure, Cap may be a "lab experiment", but it's a part of HIM and not some silly little metal suit that can be broken down and taken away.
You know what they should have done? They shoulda make Captain America not end with him being in the modern age, just another generic feel-good ending. They shoulda introduced Cap. during the Avengers, in the same way they did it in the comics, where he destroys every other avenger, maybe on a helicarrier instead of a sub though.
I'd rather be Cap any day than the brash, arrogant, Tony Stark. And don't get me wrong, I like Stark (as well as RDJ) but characterwise is where Cap gets the edge.
So I've probably played this video over a hundred times and it never gets old. Thanks for making this, it means a lot to me!!! Keep up the good work >W
Small man with a big heart

THANK FRIEND
Steve Rogers should be the winner of the Civil War!
Stark made the comments he made because, with all the wealth and fame he has, he'll never have what Cap has, and that's HEART. Sure, Cap may be a "lab experiment", but it's a part of HIM and not some silly little metal suit that can be broken down and taken away.
