Hi Gina, I love your idea. I have a friend that uses one for making her cigs and I never gave it a thought to use one that way. Thank you I appreciate these videos you have very good ideas on how to put thigs to good use. Thanks and have a great rest of your weekend.
Great idea Gina, I do something similar with the silver serving trays from dollar tree. I also have used quarter sheet pans, you can get a 3 pack at SAMs. Haha I accidentally have 6 of the white ceramic daisy trays, I had 3 in my cart and added 2 more 🤷🏻♀️. I can always share with my daughter. Love your idea too. Not that I have much time for beading at this time, I just got a puppy a month ago and with the grandson, I’m worn out by the end of the day😊. TFS
Thanks so much for sharing, Cathy! Yes- Dollar stores are a great place to check for trays and the like, for even less $$. Congrats on the addition of the puppy! It sounds like a very lively time for you! 💜😁
I love this series!!!!! It has truly helped me so much and I really appreciate it. I was such a mess before you showed us the first video and it really interfered with my creativity. Thank you so much for showing us all these cool little items and tricks to help us all out.
I am loving this series! I recently changed how I store my unfinished and future projects because I don't have a lot of space. I have 6x9 inch shallow wooden trays that my unfinished pieces go into. Two or three can fit in there easily with the bead containers or tubes. For the things I want to do (top 3 off my to try list), I have a small 3-compartment wooden rectangular open 'box' that is just big enough to hold tubes or containers and the rest of the pieces/parts for the project. So far, it's working...so far. Lol. Thanks for this series. I've referred back to couple of them for ideas.
Thank you so much for this most interesting series on storage. I use those plastic 4 X 7" lidded boxes that my tic tac containers came in. I can get all the components for a project in one box. Keeping a clasp, my bead storage containers for seeds, crystals and such all in one place is helpful for me. I love your idea of a beading surface on a tray, though. I used a cut up blanket once but it shredded when I washed it. Guess it wasn't the correct fabric.
I love the lunch trays. They're perfect and, as you said, inexpensive. I've just been buying the 4-packs of the bead tray liners that are like vellux. Your idea sounds much less expensive. Can't wait to see your solution for storing finished pieces. Tfs!
Great tips! I use a covered tray from Michael’s- I think be Beadolon. It was under $20 on sale. The cover hinges on, but tends to stick and shake up the breads, so I separated it into two work-in-progress boards! Also, I love the portability of my little Bead-on-it Board, BUT don’t like how the beads all fall along the edges, making it hard to get them. I would not have spent the $$ on it had I known that. I have a desk with a two-shelf side table that is my workspace and stores my four Work in progress boards. I use a Ringberries Vellux mat from Etsy that was $13.50 for a 22x14 as a bead embroidery mat. It is by FAR the best mat for the money!
Thank you for this, got some great [and affordable] tips! Edit: if anyone can go to Dollarama [Canadian dollar store], they have many large plastic trays for $1-4 each
I was given a large stack of used trays from a middle school lunch room. I use them for everything! Craft room and kitchen. I need to buy a velux blanket.
That's so great, Robin!! You're half-way there to having a DIY bead board. 💜😁 The trays are so handy, you're right! I have even used them to scoop up my son's legos. 😂😅
Hi Barbara! This is actually a microfleece - I find that the texture is just right to hold the beads in place, while not getting hung up on the needle. Fleece may be a little more bulky than the microfleece, but you could always give it a try and see what you think. 💜😁
Hi Monique! I get them from Eureka Crystal Beads - here is a direct link: www.eurekacrystalbeads.com/ceramic-sunflower-shape-tray/?aff=19 Thanks so much for watching! 💜😁
Hi, Gina! Thanks for another video of great storage ideas. Because I have cats, my WIP storage has to be secure. One of my cats almost swallowed a needle a few years ago (she’s fine-it fortunately got stuck to the roof of her mouth, but we were both pretty traumatized by the whole thing). So I’m paranoid about securing the needle & thread. I started using plastic storage clipboards, cutting a bead mat to fit. They work well, but I do wish they were a bit larger. Your trays are a great size!
Hi Catherine! That's such a great point, and I'm sorry to hear about your kitty's incident - what a close call! Thanks so much for watching, and for sharing!

So glad you enjoyed, Kate!

Thank you, Shelley! 💜😁
Great idea
Thank you, Jeannie! 💜😁
Really great ideas for multiple working trays at minimal cost. If you cut the fabric with pinking shears you would get a finished edge in one step.
That's a fantastic idea, Shirley! Thanks for mentioning it! 💜😁

@@ORCHIDandOPAL Yes very helpful. 😃
You have great ideas. You could always velcro the vellux.
That's a great tip! Thanks for sharing, Sandra! 💜😁
These are great videos on bead storage, organization etc. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much, Wendy!

Thanks so much for sharing, Crystal! 💜😁 I'm so glad you've been working a system that makes sense for you, and that you've been enjoying this series!
I bought the trays a while back. Great minds
That's awesome, Stephanie! Aren't they handy?! 💜😁
You can buy 12 for $27.97 on Amazon

I got my blanket from a thrift store
@@ORCHIDandOPAL I wish I had had them when my boys were that age. Stepped on many Legos! Miss that age.
Why not fleece? Did you wash the vellum before?

Always great ideas. I have a one of those blankets that I can use. Awesome!!!
That's awesome, Lisa! 💜
Dollar Tree cookie sheets might work, too. Great ideas!
That's a wonderful idea!
What a great tip with the blanket 😊. Good 'ol trays. Useful in so many ways 😁. Thanks 😊
Thanks so much for watching!
@@ORCHIDandOPAL Most welcome. I need all the help I can get. 😉
I love the idea of leaving the fabric loose so you can throw it in the washer. This is the best idea I’ve seen.
Thank you, Annette! That has truly been so helpful. 💜💜💜
