It's good to know I'm not the only softie crying out here. Anytime they talk about the history or somebody who used to be around I just get overwhelmed with emotion. Thinking about how much this means to them.

As someone who was at the Racecourse for this match I can't express how emotional watching this episode was. We we're weeping in the stands that day too!

I watched the women completely wiped the floor with one team about 2 weeks ago and a 13 to 0 match! Women rock!

I think the reason Rosie rated that game as the best game she had ever played was because of the crowd. The games you mentioned where she scored loads of goals were basically played in a park with a couple of hundred people standing around the pitch. This game, she scored the game winning goal at the Racecourse in front of the largest crowd ever to watch a women's football match in Wales.

Another factor is that match was the one between the Adran North and Adran South Champions ( The 2nd division for women's football in Wales is divided in 2 regions, North and South) for the promotion to the Adran Premier (the top tier in Welsh Women's football league), so a decisive match in their local stadium instead of the field where the women's team used to play and in front of a record assistance for women's football in Wales.
For any player scoring a goal is nice, but scoring a goal in a decisive match or scoring against the biggest rivals means much more.

Hi both.. I found your channel by accident. I've never been one to watch "reaction" vids but i've come to love your honest human reactions to this great story. I'm a jack born and bread (Swansea City fan 43 years) and have been through it all. We went from League 2 to Premier League in 5 seasons, so understand what your going through. Even though I'm a fan of the Swans I would love to see Wrexham back where they belong.. Love your content... keep it up... RT

Hi Guys, As a fluent first-language Welsh speaker, I find the title of the episode a bit odd; 'YN CODI' - pronounced 'UN KOD-EE', which means 'ELEVATE' not 'RISE' as in Welsh that would be just 'CODI'

Great reaction. In football if you score 6 goals it is more likely that the game was one-sided OR the opposition was defensively weak, therefore the goals were easier to come by. That's why we prefer football as a low-scoring sport, it means the tension is greater and the skill is higher. At its best Soccer is a game that's well matched and at a constant deadlock... until someone releases the tension with a goal (usually in a moment of extreme catharsis) - so that single goal Rosie scored probably really was her finest achievement so far.

No problem! Seeing you guys get wound up by the tension on the pitch is great! That's the way it should be. In fact, scientists say that football has more in common with gambling than anything else as it's often unpredictable and there are moments of extreme tension - followed by release. The stakes are also higher than in any other sport (as shown in Welcome to Wrexham!) so goals, though few and far between, really matter. When they do come along, they are often distinctive and artful - with great replay value! Having said all that - sometimes it is great to watch teams get pulverised 9- 0! lol!!! @@TouchyReactions 😜

10 women were initially signed to semi-pro contracts in the Adran Premier League but the rest were signed later. Unfortunately, Mia Roberts was not offered a contract. There are only 3 out of the 8 teams in the Adran Premier that are semi-pro so still a long way to go for Welsh women.

"We can't go through this entire season with the misery..." Agreed, but that's the risk of being a football fan. The culture of fandom is that you don't - you can't - simply swap teams if yours is sliding down the divisions.

Since in football/soccer there is also possible to have ties, a team can be undefeated and still have not won any match, what they did is win every match, and clean sheet mean when in a match the other team have not scored against, so a 0-0 tie is a clean sheet for both teams and even not having goals could have been a very exciting and entertaining match if it was due to great saves from both teams' GKs and great work from the defenses.
In my opinion the matches become not interesting when it's always the same team trashing the rivals, due to a huge difference on the players due to a team being able and willing to spend tens or hundred of millions to sign and pay inflated salaries for top players playing against teams that are not able to do so, as many times happens in the top divisions of the leagues i many countries, that get 1 or 2 very dominant teams. In this case at that point the Wrexham women's team is an amateur team, as was explained in a previous episode, and getting promoted they would be allowed to become a semi pro team with players starting to earn a salary for playing.

May not be surprised that's in part due to the top division for women's football in Wales is a semi-pro instead of full professional and there may be some rules limiting the number of professional players per team, based on what I read that division is comparable to the tier 3 divisions in England and so below the FA Women's Super League and FA Women's Championship that are professional and at the level of the FA Women's National League (North and South) that are semi-pro.
