Dude you need to stop apologizing, love your videos especially these vacation trips. I love that you and Jen can sleep in a van eat crackers and cream cheese and canned soup and just be happy with life together, if that’s not love I don’t know what is. Love you guys and your content . Thank you for sharing
You both make America look so fun again ❤ … my dad’s work van was a Gail the snaIe in the sixties .. I was so young then but can’t forget it. Great episode!
I was a mechanic in Flagstaff for quite a few years. It was very common to have motor homes and one ton pickups towed in with fuel starvation. It was most often just vapor lock caused by heat soak from the hard climb into Flagstaff. The fuel line ran on the inside of the frame rail and the frame would get too hot to touch! The problem got worse in the spring when it first got warm. Gas stations at lower elevations would still have winter bend fuel (which vaporizes at lower temps for cold starting). A hot day with hot fuel lines at high altitude combined to leave you stranded.
Man this was such an enjoyable watch! The combination of family vlog + the bike trailing + the mechanical stuff + scenery was just sublime. 10/10 man keep it up!
What an amazing Huge Flag ... loved this volg .... it was awesome .... !!! Gail The Snail did wonderful ... i had a 73 Mavrick that had a 3 speed on the floor with a 250 inline 6 ... loved it .. wish i had built it up a bit .. but later i got a 73 Mavrick Grabber ... relly loved it ... .Blue Ovel ... for life my friend ..
Thank you. Guss is pretty fast ,that was a fantastic road trip with you two . Keep on bringing us along with you guy's, your pretty cool .Keep on making great entertainment and video's they are great
I've been watching your channel since 2020. I recently started watching with my 13 and 9yr old boys. Its great to show them a no nonsense, commonsense approach to life. I'm from Ireland, living in Wisconsin, my 13 yr loves American muscle cars now. We watch all of your videos. Including your urban exploration. Keep up the good work.
You have huge balls driving that old beater in the Arizona heat.. love the gussman, chillest doggo on the internet. Those roads/tunnels you were biking on near Lake Mead was a railroad for he construction of the Hoover Dam back in the 30’s
Another great adventure Chris and Jen and the Gus man. Thanks for takin us along. You'll see Gail again. Awesome pics and country sights and sounds. Have a good one!
I caught the membership video this morning. I have been a tech at a subaru dealership for 20 years. I used to think watching UA-cam videos about working on cars was ridiculous. I started watching your channel just before the fury video a couple years ago. Your content, editing (& drone footage!), knowledge, hoarding of old parts and using old techniques all really hit home with me. I was glad to pay to be a member. If you ever activate it again, ill sign up again. You guys are the best. Thanks for making great videos.
Gail did right by you. Good job painting her Jen! My folks used to live in Overton, NV and my friends Betty Lou, Maggie and I stuck a dollar bill to that ceiling in the Red Rooster. What a fantastic memory for me, thank you! Great videography as always and you two are just a good time. Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
Such a fun romp of activity from our favorite trio on UA-cam. Always excellent content beautiful scenes professionally edited. 🎉 Loved the mural Jenn. Ill catch your vlog next on the process behind the artistry. Gus was the Star in this production whether he knows it or not. ❤ So much to comment on i know I won't mention all the aspects here so just a last word then, 'Spectacular"...🎉🎉🎉
You two are adorable. I loved the combination travel vid, mechanical upgrade/maintenance vid, event vid with off road side by side, and ebike adventures. Your drone use was excellent. It made me wanna check out the southwest and enjoy some of the places you went. I loved Jen's energy on the mural and how sweet and encouraging Chris was about it. Gus is quite an amazing and loving sidekick to all your adventures. The best part is how genuine you both are. Your singing Jen is really beautiful. Keep it up...the way you two interact and seem to trust one another in such a simple, decent way is really inspiring. You seem to feed one another's passions really well. Just keep it going, don't change a thing. Be happy and keep it simple and strong Sending love from the Negev Desert. Peace....DJL
Gail the snail is an absolute AMAZING van.. The fella that purchased her from you will be SUPER happy with her.. she's a survivor and it looks like he'll keep her as one.. GREAT job..
I’m convinced Gus has seen more of America than I have! Thanks for taking us on vacation. I thoroughly enjoyed it - your drone videography adds a great element to your videos. Thanks again for sharing. 👍🏁🔥🇺🇸
Love this video, we were just in that area coming back from Baja California. Based on how much you guys love these backroads, small towns and friendly people you would *love* baja!
I kinda feel sorry for people who've never had the pleasure of driving a three-on-the-tree. The southwest is just gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your continuing travels with us.
Thanks for all the great content, Chris! I can't get enough of these "fly and drive" style vids. I have to thank you and Jen for inspiring me to start my own channel! I hope to produce content in your same vein. Keep doing what you're doing 🤟
Wow. My dad had a 66 Dodge snubnosed van. We took that thing with a 225 slant 6, all the way to Minnesota and back from Missouri. We had lots of gear and people too. Lol good times.
I am in a nursing home and I don’t even get out of my room much, so seeing some of the sights in Arizona brought back awesome memories of much better days when I had a life and lived in the real world and not just the land of the existing . Thank you guys 😊
Regardless of the content your videos are always great. The drone footage and background music are always awesome. Seeing you, Jen, & Gus enjoying life is always a treat.
Awesome video again Chris thanks for sharing your time off, if I were to take a road trip with anyone it would be you, super reliable, super chilled and reliable. Jen and Gus are in safe hands and as I always say happy dog = good people.
Chris, I appreciate the fact that you and Jen can enjoy a trip in an old vehicle and take it as it comes, break downs and all. You have skills that will come in handy some day when the yogurt hits the fan and old cars will be a primary form of transportation, at least for a while. You all stay safe.
I’m a huge MORR fan and when they asked for people to participate you were actually one of the couple names I gave. If they do it the same way next year inviting non off-road channels I bet you’ll get an invite. Also, you got me drooling at the end when you peaked a K30 rollback out your door. Those are my favorite trucks in the world.
Some beautiful scenery, love the little pups barks and the good ole days when i drove my old 73 stubby van i bought from Centel phone company everywhere. 240 6cyl, 3spd on column and always made tin can popping sounds because it was basically a tin can but once i swapped out the 4.11 gears for 3.45s it was a sweet cruiser, i could run 75-80 and wasnt revved out. Enjoy the vids, take care and rub the poochs belly for me
Hi Chris and Jen…thank you for keeping this old gal Gail on the road. My dad drove one of these for Ohio Bell 🔔 Telephone back in the 1960s. These old work vans mean a lot to us “Bell Brats!!”
What an unexpected and awesome Sunday night treat this upload is. I always appreciate your road trip videos a lot, so thanks and all the best wishes from Europe!
There are so many old cars and trucks out here! I’m originally from the east coast and it continues to blow my mind when I see stuff in peoples fields, yards and barns!
I am happy you met @The_Bearded_Mechanic. I cannot wait for my favorite UA-cam channels to collaborate. I loved the video. I would have loved to see Gail while you were here in my part of the country. Keep up the excellent work.
Hey Chris and Jen, I want to thank you for the content you put out, your gail the snail videos inspired me to deal with a breakup by heading out to Arizona for a hiking trip. I met so many amazing people and grew as a person. I have no idea when this was filmed, but its possible we were in AZ at the same time, the highway near Sedona had just about as much snow on it when I was there too. You guys are the best!
Loving all your posts will watch this one shortly. Main reason for comments was to leave Hope and condolences for the accident at the Baltimore bridge to all involved.
I like how Chris said the motel was dog and trucker friendly. We are like dogs, the sleeper is like a doghouse, we chase cars up and down the highway and pee on tires.
Hi all 3 of you. I love your vacation videos full of adventures and new old towns to seek. I live happily right on the coast In England UK. So your adventures mean more to me than some Americans, as I and my family have only been to touristy Florida In our lives. Always an adventure to watch from you guys. Thank you. Ian. UK.
I always enjoy your videos.. especially these trip ones! I've got to say also that the drone shots that you take time to get are incredible to add to the story/new places. Great stuff!
Great scenery in UT and NV. So many people spend their whole lives in the city and never experience how great this country is and how many places there are to see.
You were so close. Cool little town just down the road from railroad pass called Nelson. Just past Nelson is an old abandoned mine where there are all kinds of old vehicles and antique stuff sitting out in the open. You’d love it. You could spend hours looking around
One thing I love about you guys, you live life to the fullest.. because life is so short. Memories, and time with love ones us the treasure chest of life...
Omg! I love your videos but It was scary to watch you drive those roads. I give Jen kudos for being so calm on that dirt trail, that you called a road.
I really enjoyed those scenic shots you captured but on a few instances, I did get a "The Hills Have Eyes" sorta vibe. Thankfully it all worked out. Enjoying the content and Gus is a star!
You guys seem to have more fun out west than back east. I'd be torn if you move out here. I like seeing the sights where you live since I've never been there. Nice to see Boulder City Nevada. I grew up there in the 60s and 70s. I used to take my paycheck to be cashed at railroad pass casino when I was a teenager with my first job. Casinos back then wanted to cash your paycheck no matter where you worked so you would be in their casino with cash in hand and maybe spend it gambling. I did it a lot because you if you let them cash your check, you got one spin on a roulette wheel for a chance to double your check with no risk of losing your paycheck. Then I'd eat the .99¢ prime rib buffet. Ah, the 70s were great.
Yes good job, fun to see you three having fun. The scene through old Route 66 was a hoot. I drove out in 1970 from Illinois to see my parents We went to the Damn and saw the little casinois along the road and the little motels. Your video was a trip down a old memory Lane. Glad you made it safely and got home OK, stay Safe, and Thank You, Dennis
Vacation trip fun videos are cool! eat, bike riding, swim, mishaps, camping, sight seeing...it's all good guys, Thanks! Gus & Jen are true troopers! ...Gail did it's job keeping the fam safe.
Always enjoying your videos Chris! Thanks for taking us along with you. You are a great inspiration for me as a mechanic, but also as a person! Greetings from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Silly me, I never thought of a vacation like this. After watching this video I'm looking at car rentals out of vegas, trying to find the UTV rental place in UT and on and on. Thanks for planting the seed. Fellow east coaster that didnt know what I was missing.
You can't leave a vehicle for any extended period of time without getting mice in it. Heck, I pulled the tarp off on mine the other day and found mouse crap on the cabover. It's been covered 3 months. Call me crazy but I don't think you will find an old or even new RV that has been sitting for very long without mice droppings in it.
I had nominated Matt to pick you for the Off Road Games and was disappointed he didn't pick you and Jenn. At least you got to go and hit the trails in the rental.
Hello! We send you greetings from the other side of the earth, from cold Siberia, from the place where one of the most beautiful roads in the world begins, "Chuisky tract - Чуйский тракт." On UA-cam you can find many videos about this beautiful road. Thank you for your work, we appreciate and respect what you do. And yes, we also love to travel in "ancient" retro cars)) In 2015, we went on our honeymoon with my wife. We had a Nissan Caravan E24, an old diesel bus that had a hard time climbing high mountains, but the beauty of the surrounding nature made this trip and all subsequent trips unforgettable .
Mr NNKH been watching for 2years now & know not to expect anything ,I did watch the whole show , I personally liked it ,remember you roll how you roll & thats O.K.with me ,❤ regards Rob.
I forget sometimes how pretty it is out west. I used to have a 1980 bronco that the lights would go out like that, I chased that short and finally found it. Wire was loose behind the fuse box, a toothpick, and glue. Yeah, I know, but It worked. Thanks for what ya'll do!! 😎
Gus is the best! I have two doxies, Daisy and Henry. Had doxies all my life and I’m 68 now. Can’t imagine life without them! Great video of the southwest too. Thanks for taking us along.
Dude you need to stop apologizing, love your videos especially these vacation trips. Gus is the best! I have two doxies, Daisy and Henry. Had doxies all my life and I’m 68 now. Can’t imagine life without them! Great video of the southwest too. Thanks for taking us along.
Man, I gotta say these are some of my favorite videos! I love the desert and this allows me to live through you and your adventures.
