I found you guys a few weeks ago and have been working my way through the videos. You are getting MUCH better at making and editing videos. It's nice to see the happiness increase too. You can really tell that it was VERY stressful between you two in the beginning. I'll comment again once I make it through all your videos to give some unsolicited advice! 😂🤣 You guys (along with a few other sailing channels) are an inspiration to me, and I'm sure many others. Keep up the good work, and living the dream!
Wow what a catch! My favorite on the Grill. Around 7:10 the water is so beautiful how deep is it? Close to rationing Beer! Oh oh. Can you get French Permits for up to 2 years?
French Permits are 3 years for the boat, and I think you can work in 3 years for you as well... But you need to get a long stay visa, and update it every year.
Another great video guys How’s Aquarius been holding up for you. Take good care of her we will be watching You guys look like your really enjoying life
Sailing Aquarius Around The World oh ken I’m sure it wasn’t on purpose Are you very happy with your choice of the amel or do you think of any other boat you could have bought besides the amel We have been looking at so many different types and keep going back to the amel That couple you know that maybe selling there amel. Echo Pilot professional.. Depending on depth you can see out about 80 meters. We were going 6kts and came up on a balmy and were able to back down.... We probably would have hit without it, but we wouldn't have been doing what we were doing without it.... We thing the forward looking sonar is a must!
Aluminum, paper, and Steel can go overboard if you are more than 100 miles from shore. We don't through aluminum or anything with plastic overboard, but we do toss paper and tin cans overboard. There are usually places to put the trash when coming into a port.
We did for the Pacific crossing, but would not do it again. I would have had 1 or 2 five gallon Jerry cans and that's it. And would use them only if I had a problem with my main fuel tank. We had plenty of fuel for the crossing in our main tank, 600 L. We ran our engine for 48 hours during the crossing = 3.6x 48 = 172... So, we burned about 180L of fuel because we ran the generator for a few hours as well. Didn't really put much of a dent in our main tank. And we still had 200L on the deck, can you say overkill! Fair Winds
@@SailingAquarius I guessed track. Nice behind the back trnsition. You're a definite ringer. Also, did you ever do the Ensenada with Southwest Y.C.? Thanks.
There are a lot of retired pilots sailing around the world. Sailing is so similar to flying, just everything is in slow motion. The islands are like mountains, and the weather is very important in sailing or flying. But, that said, I was not a commercial pilot. Just IFR rated pilot flying small plans. But, sailing is fairly easy.... The hard part is knowing how to use all the stuff on a boat, and how to fix it!!!
Large parts of that massive lagoon look astoundingly shallow. Great footage !
Awesome shark scene. So cool guys!

Delos has had good Sailing with Amel. I think its laid out well. Not a Dog to sail. Solid Railing always has appealed to me.

Really enjoying your videos! What type of boat is Magic? Can't seem to find them on social media at all. Thanks!
Magic is a Hanse 54. They are not on social media. Fair Winds
The Hans looks good at the Dock! In my opinion if you want to cruise Amel is built for it!
In my opinion Amel Super Maramu 2000 is one of the best cruising vessels built, ever.
Agreed!
love your videos.
Thanks!
Good Job from Venezuela
I wish we could have stopped in Venezuela, but the insurance company would not let us! Fair winds!
Great Sunsets - how fast can you travel with the forward looking sonar - what brand did you get?

Great video. How far forward looking do you find your sonar to be accurate
Very accurate!! Saved us several times.... And is a excellent back up for the depth sounder.
Sailing Aquarius Around The World seven feet? Not much.
Hello from Russia! You guys are great! Ken, you're a pilot! How did you become a sailor?
nice tuna.
It was BIG! Happy Holidays
@@SailingAquarius Happy Holidays...
Thanks John!
I’ve never understood the beer thing. I lived aboard and drank maybe three beers in six months. A crew mate drank a case a day. He was a doctor.
We don't drink on passage, but we do like to entertain and that is where the beers go! Beer is also good to trade for things in FP.
Ken
how do you organize the plastic and beer can waste?
Aluminum, paper, and Steel can go overboard if you are more than 100 miles from shore. We don't through aluminum or anything with plastic overboard, but we do toss paper and tin cans overboard. There are usually places to put the trash when coming into a port.
You have Jerry cans of diesel stored on the sides?

Sailing Aquarius Around The World Thank you for the quick reply. Beautiful boat. Great videos.
Ken is obviously a jock. Can you say what his athletic background is?
Cross Country, Track, and a lot of pick-up Basketball.

It feels so much nicer when you talk directly to us like in the end. lol Wierd
