I currently have a 24 plate and have covered 1600miles 😊 Gotta say a cracking bike. Rides nice plenty of power for a 125cc. Comfortable to ride over a long distance and wit a 20litre tank a very l9ng range 👍 Couldn't recommend enough 👌 cracking learner bike at a very good price 👍
I have one. It has been an absolute joy to own. It's taken me all over the lake district without missing a beat. The larger tank is a big plus. The lights are great during the darker months and it starts no problem throughout this winters colder days.
I had one before I passed my test last year and loved it. Got many admiring comments from passers by who thought it was bigger than a 125. Also has a USB port fitted as standard which is useful.
A lovely looking bike and it looks really well made . The stainless steel exhaust is a bonus too . If I had a dealership close to me , I would definitely buy a Zontes ; this particular model especially 👍
Been surfing some bikes since I first started watching your reviews. It's 14 years since I sold my scoot and pondering what I'll get as a retirement gift. Initially I thought RE Or Benelli then thought that the cost effectiveness of a scoot or 125 started to take hold. However, today I was browsing and came across an old flirtation of mine , the 1990s cb500. So I rechecked the specs. It's about 5kg heavier than this and 10KG+ lighter than an RE. With 57 BHP....no brainer really!
I bought one of these at the end of last year, 41 miles only, so needed running in. The quality of parts of the bike are equal if not better than parts on my 2 BMWs, especially the switch gear. The brakes are excellent, however I had the adjust both the rear brake and gear lever. For me this feels like a far bigger bike, until you reach the limits of its power.
Gilly next time on a zontes instead of riding it in 5th all time put it into 6th they love steady cruising in 6th. And I'm 6.3 and my zontes z2 can do 80 downhill and easy does 65/70 on flat no probs done 5k miles and not had a problem
One thing with used motorcycles is the amount of vat should only be charged on the difference the dealer bought it for and sold it for ( ie his profit) so a used bike should be a lot cheaper as there is a larger amount of vat paid on a new one. I see the price some dealers are asking for 1-3 year old used bikes and a lot of them are taking the pee. I’ve seen a 3 year old Honda Monkey in a dealers at only £800 less than a new one which will have Honda’s warranty and not need an MOT for 3 years.

I brought my G1 last year to learn on. Hopefully taking my full license this year. To be honest I think I will be keeping it after I have passed.
A sprocket change might help .

I had my gas siphoned when working remote in AK long push .
Kept it red lining it in 4th way too long too. move it up the box when you hit 8k revs is how you ride a zontes
