      70-81 are the same, you just gotta drop the right engine in. 70-73 are so rare though you don't see too many. I'm looking for a 1981 Trans Am that came with the 5.0 chevy motor and super T-10 4 speed. I can drop a 350 or 454 right in there with factory mounts.

      no not at all dont have anything that has a big cam in it. i just dont think theres much chop here. there was a video last week that had a big blower on it and they were saying it had massive chop when it was blower surge.

      As far as it goes, tons of guys back in the day would swap out the stock Pontiac motor to a Chevy because the Pontiacs were a bit iffy. Look around at first gen Firebirds vs Camaros and see the price difference. A ton of the old birds have a Chevy 350 swapped in because it was easier to race

    The O.G. S.W.! He had a track miata, 7 second 6 spd Supra, and one of the early UGR Gallardos just to name a few. Was proud to shake his hand back in TX2K11. The car's he's been through would make anyone jealous.

    I live about 3hrs. from Detroit Speed, the shop that built this car, and visited while they were building it. The build pictures on their website are equally impressive. Awesome TA!

      Agreed. Can't argue with the quality of build... it's awesome. BUT, this guy obviously wasn't worried about spending money. Why didn't he drop in a Butler Performance engine and keep it all Pontiac? It's his car I guess.

      TheHoonigans he had a ‘95 hard top 6 speed twin turbo car in Black that was 1 of 5. He ran it at the Texas standing mile and drag raced it for ages. He had the 6 speed world record for Supras at one point after he took it from Ryan Woon who ran the WOTM Supra. Superstreet has an old article on the top 5 Supras built and SW’s was #3 or 4 on the list. That car made a fuck ton of power and boost. SW, Peter Blach, And Ryan Woon were all huge drag racing guys back in the early to mid 2000’s.

      73 Bird grills have a much larger rectangular pattern.
      with what they spent on the Build a Pontiac MR1 Indian adventures or Kaufman Block would have been neat.

      Wow I like your Moxie! Long time ago I wanted Camaro but when Drove BLK&BLK 78 TA Pontiac 400 Engine 4sp that was it I went to the Dark Side later Camaro Hello Trans-Am few years later 1985 bought wrecked 76 TA 455 4sp and did real frame off Restoration. Pontiac Experts like Herb Adams, HO Racing ,Nunzi were my go to guys back than and I still have Trans-Am

    SW is a legend in the street scene, been racing and has been the fastest for nearly 3 decades. from the vette and trans am era to the Supra vs Viper era with the quickest and fastest 6sp car in the world and the texas mile records to the streets with his UGR stage 3 SL and his ultra clean cars. his Vipers, both hardtop Supras, his targa Supras, his SCs, his BMWs, his Benzes, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, everything.

      the camera only pans there for a couple seconds a few times, but near the end of the video you can see a good 5 or so construction guys watching at least the end of it. I'm sure came running whenever they heard it start up. 8:36

      @@YeetxBoi saw the side first and the 78 trans am has the pointed front clip the smokey and the bandit style this is the style prior to that 74 is when they went to the pointed style

      @@YeetxBoi no, not even. the taillight are different, the chrome bumper was only form 1970-1973, and the rear window and quarters are different...no wrap around window. Also all the aero is shaped different as well

    On average it costs $20-30 more for Pontiac building per part.
    This "person" exceeded the costs of putting in a PMD aftermarket engine just trying to make it LOOK PMD.

      No, the people who question throwing that much money, into a car like this, know that he put about 200K more into it than was necessary. I have seen exact replicas of "Eleanor" mustangs, and the owner only put about 100k into it.

If you've seen the cars he's owned in his lifetime it would be clear, SW can build whatever car he wants. Dude has broken world records in racing.     $20-$40 more per part for a Aftermarket Pontiac Block vs LS, that he prob spent just to retrofit the LS to fit in this 2nd gen F and mod it to look PMD-sih... because we all haven't seen enough LS engines, #ItsMoreCamaroNow
