Nice to see the AutoB's still in service. If they were the original JJA's converted from the original AFR Tiphook Rail hoppers then the wagons are about 36 years old now. My last project before I left the industry bringing those into operation. They were brilliant to operate. I still have a remote handset and keys to operate them somewhere! I only operate them in OO gauge now though courtesy of Bachmann!🤣
I found the doll that’s on the 08 on a possession near Tamworth a couple of years back and stuck it on the front of my loco (66722) but didn’t tell them at bescot, one of the Shunters jumped out of his skin when he walked round the front of the train and it was staring at him with its wonky eye, it was quite clean when I found it! (It’s me driving 66734 in the vid too)
The UK as got passenger train shortage where journeys are missed out ,the 319 units could be sent to these areas temporarily before they get new trains
Remember when nearly every mainline station had a couple of 08s (or even 03s) around never mind goods yards, seems that most shunting is now done by full grown locos.
Mainline stations needed a shunter to handle the loco-hauled trains. Now that everything is multiple units, push-pull or DVTs, there's nothing for a station pilot to do.
what a waste of good E.M.U's them 319s are good trains and more reliable than the crap that will replace them as you can't beat british built rolling stock! good video as always 😎
@@justinobrien3593 "Pacers" is a counterpoint to "you can't beat British rolling stock". You absolutely can beat British rolling stock, particularly 30-40 year old examples like the 319
@@andrewreynolds4949 I seen most of the early class 150 being built at Derby Works between 1984/87 on open days as a kid with my dad as British built trains was the best!
Nice video great camera work as usual I am really looking forward to seeing your next video I hope you get a nice video next time also when is your next video going to be on UA-cam bye for now Philip
hi, great video, don't know why the clowns are scrapping the 319s, they could be used again, just like a circus with clowns that cant keep an 08 in top nick,
...the 60+ year old 08's (and there predecessors) have been the backbone and unsung heroes of British Railways since WWII...
That’s very true.. Classic workhorses 👌👍
Bit like those 319s being dragged off by their grandfather really, I worked the 319s when they were brand new.

Freaky looking doll - Not surprised they jumped seeing that..! 🤣🤯
08 hauling a pre-dated "baby on board" sign where they just literally strapped the baby right on there
Seems funny how the 319s are heading for scrap and yet the display board was still working. Great video as always...
I did notice that also out of the corner of my eye. 🫣

Reminds me of bin lorries and toys tied to them!
Some skilful driving on that 08, to manage the wheelslip at 7:18.
Good skills indeed 👍
Great video there. Thank you Class 319 for your service. Good while it lasted.
Great Video Nice To See 66s And 37884 And 08670 Working Hard With AutoBallasters
Exellent😊
Nice to see 08670 still out and about! Was once with us at Bounds Green!
Great video 👍
The doll looks nearly as old as the engine, lol 🤣
Your videos Never fail mate sad seeing More 319s heading for scrap also 08670 with a baby doll on the Front Buffer Beam! see you soon
Thanks very much 🙏👍
Ooky spooky when the Class 8 started, with no sound... 😮
Never underestimate an 08, might only have 350bhp but has a tractive effort of 35,000lbs, more than an LMS 8F or standard class 7.

@@justinobrien3593 And for the most part their time has passed. Things have changed and superior designs are available
Presume there's a lot of hopper wagons being scrapped with no more coal trains. Seen lots in sidings recently. Echoes of 60 years ago!
Dustmen used to strap dollies, teddies etc to the front of their dustcarts.

Shame not one of the 319s is being preserved!
Where was the two 66s heading
The subtitle said they were headed to the engineer sidings at Bescot.

Sadly nothing lasts forever. I am happy to have enjoyed them all in London.
If the train is old and mechanically worn out, it needs to be replaced. Those Northern ones will be replaced by 323s
319s better than the crap what serve C2C
