    Okay I have had 3 Toyota Land Cruiser
    1) 1999
    2) 2007
    3) 2014
    I still own all 3 and it is the best car you can ever buy. If you're thinking about buying a new or used one no matter how old or new BUY IT!!!!

    Land Cruisers are nice. I had a chance to ride in one and it does feel luxury, even though it’s not a Lexus. The best part is they are built in Japan. People complain that’s it outdated but in reality it’s a good investment. They are extremely reliable and well built. Not to mention the resale value.

    • @virenvs905
      @virenvs905 8 років тому +1

      J High lol. I bought it brand new in 2009. In my country it costs $130.000,- due to ridiculous import taxes. I wasn't making fun of people with old cars. I was making a point that people who obviously aren't in the market for these cars keep hating on it. People just hate what they don't understand. the fact that you're comparing a landcruiser to a navigator proves you know nothing about cars.

      +Lathan Starnes You're getting Toyota reliability but you're paying Infiniti QX80 price for it. I don't see why this would be over $50k, let alone the QX80's price range of 80k.

      +Adam Hickman A Land Cruiser is a much more reliable, capable, and valuable vehicle than a QX80 or anything from NIssan (Infiniti). Not sure where you're getting your info.

      +Adam Hickman Well... look at the comparable vehicles. A Range Rover has less off road substance than this and is more expensive. The Mercedes G Wagon is smaller and less tech sophisticated and is also far more expensive. I don't know how much it costs them to make this thing, but it seems very well priced for what you're getting.

    Great review, thanks for uploading! I was considering one and loved the comfortable seats. However, I didn't like the way the 3rd row of seats stow away at the sides restricting luggage space. I know the Colorado has seats that fold into the floor but I actually plumped for a Land Rover Discovery instead! Very thorough review though!

    These things look absolutely brilliant, but I'm sceptical that it will live up to the reliability of the old one due to all the electronics which seem to be standard on all modern cars.
    The old ones would go for 500K+ even in the brutal + heat of the middle east, or in the Far reaches of North Russia/Canada.

  • @M1911jln
    @M1911jln 8 років тому +6

    Mike: A couple corrections. First, the switch with the little x in the center locks the center differential. The Land Cruiser does not come with locking front and rear differentials. If you want locking front and rear differentials, you'll need to go aftermarket -- ARB is what most people use.
    Also, the offroad turn assist has nothing to do with the power steering boost. When you are offroad and the center diff is locked, the front and rear driveshafts turn at the same speed. This makes it hard to turn. What the offroad turn assist does is it brakes the inside rear tire, to help you turn. See: ua-cam.com/video/vhFvUrTkrbY/v-deo.html

    This 200 series is available in Australia for around $100,000 and has many features,s but there is one modification you cant do and thats fit larger tyres. Can go wider but not taller. Not many owners of these prestige vehicles want to take them off road. Better off buying a 100 or 80 series Landcruiser with the turbo diesel.

    Thanks for a great walk around and through. Very helpful.
    One weird question: do you know if the radar cruise control interferes with radar detectors? Many new radar-based cruise controls and blind spot monitors use the K-band frequencies which are similar to police radar speed measurement devices and will confuse radar detectors both inside the vehicle as well as for nearby traffic.
    And for the benefit of others, this is a very rare vehicle to see new in the US market. By some estimates, more new Lamborghinis are sold per year than Land Cruisers. However, they are very popular in other markets worldwide because of their go anywhere capability and their bulletproof reliability. An apparently popular Australian saying goes along the lines of, "if you want to get there, take a Land Rover. If you want to get back, take a Land Cruiser."

      3bdulr7man als3eed I live in Dubai, and the showroom is pricing it at 317,500 AED for the 5.7L 2017 and 283,000 AED for the 4.6L. The 2016 ones with 0km are also available for 266,000 AED 4.6L and 293,000 AED for the 5.7L. What do you think?

      Hi bro, are they really that good, I wanted to get a Chevrolet Suburban LTZ 2015 but I was told it cost a lot to repair and is not as reliable as one had hoped. I think Toyota has much better tech and design now. I want to put the sport into sport utility vehicle ;)
