That massive interchange at I-10 and Loop 303 also has frontage roads on both freeways intersecting within it (I also commented about that on another one of your videos that included this interchange). I don't think I know of anywhere else in the United States, outside of Texas, where that happens. Frontage roads are not common in many places outside of Texas (they are rare in Arizona), so there is really no need to have frontage roads intersecting within a stack interchange outside of Texas. But the I-10/Loop 303 stack interchange replaced a diamond interchange at that location, and the frontage roads seem to exist there to preserve local access in the vicinity of this interchange. On I-10 they connect Citrus Road, Cotton Lane (Loop 303 frontage roads), and Sarival Avenue; on Loop 303 they provide access between Van Buren Street, McDowell Road, and Cotton Lane (north of McDowell).
Besides Texas and here, I think the only other interchange with frontage roads going through is the Big I interchange in Albuquerque, where I-40 and I-25 meet.
@@bouteilledeau1463 Makes sense. Even internationally, I have not seen too many examples of freeways with frontage roads having large stack interchanges. There are several examples of frontage road freeways in Mexico, Argentina, and even around Montréal (voies de service), but they don't tend to intersect with large stack interchanges. Shanghai and Beijing seem to use a lot of frontage roads, with large interchanges (albeit not Texas-style stacks), however.
@@BrandonClaridge Stacks in general aren't really used outside of USA, anyway. Directional/parclo interchanges are far more popular internationally, from what I've seen. There're some in the UK and, like, 1 in Belgium and the Netherlands, but I don't see any euro countries using them.
I really hope this channel goes huge. No bullshit commentary and the right tunes. It's satisfying to road trip in lockdown. Not a typical hype man but I been posting links everywhere if for no other reason than the notifications so I can watch them again. Hope you cover gas money at least.

Brandon Claridge you’re right, it’s a very large interchange indeed.

@@Dexeria this was filmed sometime in the early evening.
Wow, the design of that interchange... ADOT👏👍🏼
Right?!
Arizona State Loop 303 forms a partial loop northwest of the metro area of Phoenix.
Does the massive I-10/Loop 303 interchange complex have a nickname?
not to my knowledge.
