yeah, not much surprising about philippines if you grew up knowing filipinos...
most noticeable though is the areas of super poverty...and right after that the amount of security guards (more of that 20 years ago than these days, and they were understandably a lot more intense then too). It's an eerie, unsettling feeling to not have a 2nd amendment while surrounded by guys with guns...

Not true, in every store, there are guards here in Canada. And mostly guards are Indian nationality. The difference only is the Guards here are not allowed to carry guns.
