I purchased a Kershaw probably 10+ years ago. It's been in my pocket ever since. I think I paid $250 or so. Honestly, for the use I've gotten and the fact it works and feels just as good as the day I bought it, I'd easily pay double. I've been keeping my eye out for a bit of an upgrade, and this might just be it. It literally has everything I want in an EDC.
Just get mine from Blade HQ. It’s a work of art. Worth every penny perhaps more. I’m grateful I own a Barage in M3 90 with a similar safety and assisted deployment. It doesn’t even come close to this. Bench Made does this so well with bolsters And safeties. It’s like the 417 fact auto in S 90 V except it’s magna cut I may buy two before they run out. And start selling for 500 or $600 on eBay. If I wanted one, I wouldn’t wait. I would just get it. It’s not the Narrows. That one isn’t worth its weight and salt, but this is. Your call.
I have the barrage with M390 which is also assisted with a safety. I’m gonna disagree with most folks and say that it’s priced properly. Just bought one and it is slightly on the higher side but for what you get it’s worth it. I prefer the all blacked out one with the carbon fiber. And I can understand why someone would say it’s overpriced. All I can say is that it’s worth it to me
Thanks, Zach. Part of what makes the price worth it for me is the styling which is something that affects all of us differently. So yes, it’s US made with premium materials. Yes, it has an added safety measure and assisted opening both of which cost more and provide additional benefits to the knife. But what seals the deal for me Is the styling I just like the look of a different colored, bolster with all of the other advantages Very much like two other bench so I can think of One is the Barrage in M390. The other is the bench made auto fact In SV, 90, which also has a safety, silver bolster And aluminum handles which I don’t own, but only because bench made overtighten the pocket clip screws. Styling is highly subjective. And what hits one person one way won’t affect the other person like or dislike the other. But I think these knives are beautiful. I will see if I can send you a side-by-side of this with my Barrage
Pricey Sick Knife. I'd prefer either blue or coyote tan with black blade and hardware. I actually like assisted blades in the woods. A little bit of grit won't mess with the action. I want you to test it Woodland Tactical style. Baton, tip test, spine whack, dig through dirt, drill a bowdrill divot, make some notches, do a featherstick, all of it. See if it earns that name
I am excited for mine to arrive. I do have some concerns about an assist on a higher end Benchmade like this. It wasn’t great on the Arcane but that knife had other issues. The design on the PSK looks great and I’m excited to compare it to my Adamas and Mini Adamas.
Picked up a black 593BK-01 for $315+T. Fairly light but sturdy and very smooth but still a good grip. Really like the look and feel of the carbon fiber/G10 and the handle grooves. Extremely sharp thin blade. I'm amazed how narrow the gap between the steel liners is. Absolutely no room for off centered blades. The assisted opening has a lot more force than my 580 Barrage, 495 Vector or 490 Arcane and the axis lock mechanism gets STUCK in the open position. Need a third hand to close the blade. Hopefully it breaks in soon.
You asked what we would like to see tested. I know this will be painful but I’m wondering why they went with an ASSISTED opening style for survival outdoors im wanting to see the action tested: if it gets muddy or dirty gets dirt in the action will it still function?
How do you like the Assist on those Blades ? I bought a Boost and the Freak when they first came out , I de-assisted the Boost about a month later and I couldn't Believe the Action, it was Fantastic, even better than the Freek and its still that way now , I broke it out for this Video.... 😂🤣👍🖖
I saw the OD Green version and went to buy it but $360 is a little much. I even have the Bailout and think that is too much. Very nice knives though but I think I’m going to try out their light weight water model ,Adira.
Dam I wish we could have the Auto assist here in Australia North Americans. Don’t realise how lucky they are with some of the stuff you guys are allowed to get.
Pleasure King Knife, kept it PG.😅 Team CF. I like the blade, not a fan of the bolster+scales & assist. Overall, the price makes it a pass. It's creeping into Narrows territory. I'll stick with a Vector or Vallation for my auto assisted needs. Drop it in sand and see if the action gets gritty.🤔 Thanks Zach!👍
I would like to see fine slicing on tomatoes and potatoes and some other food items. I would also like to see it used to dig and lay traps for hunting.
Piece of shi t knife would work perfectly with the letters but it actually looks like a cool knife. I don't buy knives over $300 so I won't be getting it but it does look awesome. Also I wish Benchmade treated their magnacut harder. I understand they are maximizing toughness and corrosion resistance for their warranty and less nerdy knife guys, but I'd be way more interested if it was 63-65 like their cruwear, which is absolutely amazing. Their magnacut is good but I grabbed two of the water collection where it makes more sense to be a little softer. And they were cheaper, I got the full Adira and intersect at my local joint for cheaper than one PSK
Not a fan of the vented fuller thing. I like the assist for work knives. The pair of Barrages, and Boosts are excellent assisted knives. Field testing: feather sticks. Not going to suggest slashing or batoning, but fire prep should be where this shines.
Fuck saw a video and now am $400 lighter. I had no idea this guy was coming. Very nice looking and I am a sucker for assisted openings, magna cut and carbon fiber anything.
Ooh I like the look of these! I really want to get my hands on those two fixed blades from the Water Collection (not the filet knife). Good stuff brother 👊🏻
Luckily the new Magnacut Osborne doesn't have the patent lasermark since the patent is expired! Lol. I guess we'll just have to wait 10 years to buy the non-patent editions. Whee
Im old school Benchmade. This is like the updated Apparition. I wish I woulda never sold that knife. Oh yeah..great videos, but please don't say "smash that like/subscribe button." That's usually the time I end the video, but i like yours lol.
PSK = pretty sweet knife. I seen a Benchmade in real life finally. I didn't see what it was but I found a store near me that had one to sell. 140 bucks I remember 😅 I didn't hate it either. I don't have that much money. Awesome video I like the black one more
Benchmades are Great Blades and have always been Pricey , I own a Bunch of them , But they are Waaay out of line with those Prices , Holy Shit , I can't see how they are keeping their customers , I mean Id Love to have those Blades but I can't afford one not at those Prices
Personal survival kit?? Wheres the kit? What kind of survival is this for? Coated so no fire starting unless you use blade edge. Not to mention their website says hrc is 60-62 .. what makes this a $400+ knife??
These things look like they belong in a gas station display case. Benchmade needs to step their game up. Every axis lock knife I’ve ever owned has up and down blade play meanwhile Demko’s shark lock is ambi, stronger, and no blade play. That’s just one example. Spyderco does better heat treats and factory edges than benchmade. My GPK lw manix 2 in Rex 45 could whittle hair right out of the box. Just like Colt in the firearms world, benchmade is living off of their name and legacy not off the quality of their current lineup
Removed the assist spring and left the safety installed, It works just fine.
Excellent!!
This is what I'm wanting to hear. Can't understand why they would do an assisted knife like this.
@mrcheesefood1 Yeah, I don't know why either.
Portland's Smoking Krack 🤑
🤣😂🤣😂🤣
It's what hipsters do 🥴
I like it, but way too expensive. Thanks for showing it to us.
Thanks TLR for checking it out and feedback!
@@zachstuff I don’t mean to be negative about the price. I just paid $500 for TILT. 😗👍🏻
@@TheLastRanger oooh nice!! 👍🏻
Prices are never negative lol.
But this time they are pretty much nonnegative. Benchmade is pushing us to buy a Personal Survival Glock instead)

Btw great video New subscriber
Appreciate your support and thank you for checking these two out and your feedback!
The Barrage is a nice one as assisted and this one levels up with the full steel liners. Glad you enjoy it!
Thanks, Zach. Part of what makes the price worth it for me is the styling which is something that affects all of us differently. So yes, it’s US made with premium materials. I am with you on a blue edition of the PSK!! Thank you for the field testing ideas!
Nice knives. I've been digging these. Gonna get one eventually. I like the black one the most but I like them both.
Thank you!!!!! Another outstanding review. I bought the carbon fiber PSK. Should arrive in the next 3 days.
I am excited for mine to arrive. I do have some concerns about an assist on a higher end Benchmade like this. It wasn’t great on the Arcane but that knife had other issues. The design on the PSK looks great and I’m excited to compare it to my Adamas and Mini Adamas.
Pricey Simple Knife.
Great name!
Practical Survival Knife... CF with the super freek button for my eyes. I wonder if I can de-assist for fidgetability?

Great price! If you rock the axis bar on one side back you will break that stick until it breaks in!!
You asked what we would like to see tested. I know this will be painful but I’m wondering why they went with an ASSISTED opening style for survival outdoors im wanting to see the action tested: if it gets muddy or dirty gets dirt in the action will it still function?
PSK Purdy Slicey Knife …. Luv the gray/olive G10 version!
Good one Rory!
How do you like the Assist on those Blades ? I bought a Boost and the Freak when they first came out , I de-assisted the Boost about a month later and I couldn't Believe the Action, it was Fantastic, even better than the Freek and its still that way now , I broke it out for this Video.... 😂🤣👍🖖
I am going to be sharing a video of a de assist on the PSK. This one doesn’t need it in my opinion.
Can you do a disassembly/reassembly/maintenance video of this one?
Definitely. Wrapping up a testing video this week.
Very cool knives I like them.not cheap I was rich get one.
I saw the OD Green version and went to buy it but $360 is a little much. I even have the Bailout and think that is too much. Very nice knives though but I think I’m going to try out their light weight water model ,Adira.
I wonder why the blade finish is different? The smooth cerakote looks cool. Another great video Zach.
Thank you! They have been switching up the coatings on a few models lately.
Does this knife do anything better than a regular adamas or mini adamas would do? Especially seeing that price tag.
It'll actually cut. The Adamas has the geometry of a baseball bat and takes a ton of effort just to cut paracord
Be interesting how it holds up to bat toning and wood working when they are charging. Let’s see if a folder be worth it.
Groovy! Thanks CK!
I've batoned many a Benchmade in my time. Haven't had a failure yet
I dig the red thumb studs! Like the overall look! PSK= Personal Security Key!
Knew that touch of red would catch your eye!! Good name too!
Being a "survival" knife, I wonder if you could engage the lock when open and baton wood.
Even the Bugout can handle being batoned
You can lock the blade while open
Dam I wish we could have the Auto assist here in Australia North Americans. Don’t realise how lucky they are with some of the stuff you guys are allowed to get.
We definitely have to appreciate that!!
The black one is really personal sexy knife PSK . For me mini adamas in magnacut is far more survival than the psk....it have the thicker blade.
I love it! besides the assisted part and coated blade looks pretty tough
Thanks for the feedback Lonnie!
I’m embarrassed to wear my Benchmade hat. Good grief the prices they charge is ridiculous
😂😂
I like that mill pattern on the scales!
Really enjoying my new Taggedout....things a razor beam!
Ooooh nice you got the Taggedout!! Groovy!
Cold Steel SR1 would be a good comparison as well.
Pleasure King Knife, kept it PG.😅 Team CF. I like the blade, not a fan of the bolster+scales & assist. Overall, the price makes it a pass. It's creeping into Narrows territory. A good sand trap test, I like it! Good PG name too!! Thanks Napster for checking it out and your feedback!
I would like to see fine slicing on tomatoes and potatoes and some other food items. I would also like to see it used to dig and lay traps for hunting.
make a youtube channel man

PSK looks badass!
Not a fan of the vented fuller thing.

Field testing: feather sticks.
Not going to suggest slashing or batoning, but fire prep should be where this shines.
They look good. but to much butterfly tax.
Personal Sneaky knife. I like the black one. Maybe if we get into a different economy things might be lower.
Good name!! Hoping so!
Thanks for sharing Zach.
You’re Welcome!
Fuck saw a video and now am $400 lighter. I had no idea this guy was coming. Very nice looking and I am a sucker for assisted openings, magna cut and carbon fiber anything.
Hahaha glad you like it and enjoy! It is a solid folder with that touch of CF goodness!!
Ooh I like the look of these!
I really want to get my hands on those two fixed blades from the Water Collection (not the filet knife).
Good stuff brother 👊🏻
Thanks for checking them out! Those water knives are solid!
I thought I might be able to upgrade my Barrage I got a few years ago for $110 but at this price Benchmade can keep their knives.
Some dealers sell Benchmade for realistic prices and are still
Making money on them. The markup for dealers selling MAP pricing is outrageous IMO
They sound pretty sticky? Is the axis lock hard to disengage on these?
The OD Green has a little bar stick, which will go away soon with use. Definitely could use an extra tumble to reduce the stickiness on un-boxing.
I'm surprised to see an assisted knife coming out of Benchmade at this point. But I know a lot of people still like assisted knives.
I was right there with you! Doing some asking around and have found a few people still preferring and carrying the assisted especially outdoor uses.
100 bills to much IMO, Nice video thanks
You misspelled $300.00 to much.
Pretty sick knives? Thanks Zach
Groovy name Craig!
Those knives are sweet
Luckily the new Magnacut Osborne doesn't have the patent lasermark since the patent is expired! Lol. I guess we'll just have to wait 10 years to buy the non-patent editions. Whee
Is a nice knife, no doubt about it, however the price is just ridiculous and doesn't justify. Thanks for sharing
Im old school Benchmade. This is like the updated Apparition. I wish I woulda never sold that knife. Oh yeah..great videos, but please don't say "smash that like/subscribe button." That's usually the time I end the video, but i like yours lol.
That PSK is a Pretty Sexy Knife! Particularly that black version. 💯💯💯
Oooooohhhh yeah!!! Great name!!
PSK = pretty sweet knife.
I seen a Benchmade in real life finally. I didn't see what it was but I found a store near me that had one to sell. 140 bucks I remember 😅 I didn't hate it either. I don't have that much money. Awesome video I like the black one more
Very nice offering...but the $$ is out of line imo.
benchmade prices are retarded, im carrying a Spyderco Native 5 Salt Magnacut knife and its one of my all time favorite fishing knives, cost me $140
Nice big handle. 😮
How does this compare to the Benchmade Adamas
He did a side by side comparison with the mini Adamas in the video and said the full size Adamas is slightly bigger than the PSK!!
Particle Separation Kutter or Pricey Separation Kutter.
Very Groovy!
I like it other then coating on magnacut weird
I would think using the fire starter will scratch it quickly!
Will there be a mini?
Hmmmm….great question!!
As usual, interesting but non-competitive from a market perspective. What are they smoking?
They’re cool … but I’m in the that’s tgdh crowd.( shout out to flossy lol.)
Big shout out to Floss!!
Benchmades are Great Blades and have always been Pricey , I own a Bunch of them , But they are Waaay out of line with those Prices , Holy Shit , I can't see how they are keeping their customers , I mean Id Love to have those Blades but I can't afford one not at those Prices
Benchmade prices are getting to high for sub par quality
Reminds me of the volli
Personal survival kit?? Wheres the kit? What kind of survival is this for? Coated so no fire starting unless you use blade edge. Not to mention their website says hrc is 60-62 .. what makes this a $400+ knife??
The sharpening choil usually makes a nice ferro rod spot
Please Send Kittens. Decent looking, but assisted because… why? Seems like they’re answering a question nobody was asking.
Still wondering where the assist came from, but digging the EDC feel! Head to Head with the Adamas is going to happen! Nice name!
Professional Survival Knife
Very nice name!
Price is absolutely ridiculous.
Pricey Slicey Knife.
Very nice Trevor!
Love it if I could get one I would make it my new one and done EDC
It would handle it all for you Mike!!
The gray and od green looks so much better than the black!
Cant wait till these are on Temu..haha 😁 j/k j/k
Very nice but im not paying that lol
Pay serious Kash!!
Hi there Zach nice knives
Thank you!
Good price range? Are you high?
Please Shart Kindly !
😂😂😂

Pass
Looks awesome but it’s expensive 😢 #DSKFS
P.s.k. = Price. Skip knife.
They HiGH AF for those prices
Poser Survival Knife
Wish Benchmade would ditch the safety….
Agreed!
Field test their return policy. They're $100 overpriced.
How Much $ 😲🥴🤢🤮🤒
Seriously overpriced
Feel like this is a $200 knife. Even then I wouldn't buy it. It's ugly as hell.
Way too much money for what it is
