This knife has all the features I desire , flippable options , feels good in hand upside down with pinky in the choil , the milled clip with the ceramic ball , the color . It has everything I would want . When you want something price doesn’t matter . This knife has to be over a thousand dollars for sure and worth every penny .
I can totally respect this knife and the work that goes into it, but at the end of the day it just doesnt have enough of a "cool" factor to me. But by all means I'm glad we dont all have the same taste it would be really boring. I am very appreciative of the work that goes into you showing it to us. This might sound dumb but that pocket clip does do something for me lol.
And this was the most bitter sweet knife for me the day I received this knife was the day I found out my fur baby had cancer and wasn't going to make it so I kept it and named it after her and will never sell it
One of the attractions of this knife is that each is unique... mine has the nightmare grind in ELMAX. Also, I would maintain that there is more Mick than Tony influence on this design... as such, EVERY Strider has a break in period on the action and lock interface which takes time. Also, I would guess that most of these are bought as safe queens and not heavy users lol. PVK has a great selection (albeit pricey) and they have the proprietary tools at a reasonable price. Great review!
That’s always been one of my favorite designs I wouldn’t put out the money or time chasing one around though. It still amazes me how hard it is to find many knives. Not a fan of flippers and that bumpy action would drive me nuts. No excuse for that. My BM 765 has very minor bumpy action with the bearings. It’s never got better. I assume it’s the type of bearings they used. BM could F up anything. But, I got it at an REI clearance for 160. I have 2 manual MT Socom Elites that are excellent. There’s not much better/pricier that really interests me. It pisses me off that those are always out of stock. Still nice seeing some of these customs/mid techs.
Hey MC, once again your insight and tootleage have bore fruit good sir as I just picked up a Para 3 lightweight. I wanted one like yours but I didn't want to be a copycat lol and want a knife to make my own. So thank you for your videos they're the reason I finally pulled the trigger:)) and I don't know why I waited so long lol its a amazing knife. Thank you again and keep up the Awesome work.
For that price the action should be better. I'm in the middle of building a frame lock flipper, no surface grinding ability, and I'm milling the pivot/pivot bolt, and I'm close to drop shut. I wouldn't give it a pass
I have a tri-wing bit for my Microtech and it cost me about $20. Thats actually quite inexpensive compared to my $75 Hinderer tool or even the $195 tool for Shirogorovs. I don't have a problem with proprietary hardware if they provide the tool or offer one at a relatively inexpensive price.
Back when these first came out, I got one and one day dropped it on a marble floor. The action got extraordinarily worse. When I opened it Sounded like a navaja, and if you gave it a shake closed you could hear the bearings clunk around the pivot. I sent it back to MCK to get work done and it came back smooth as glass. Maybe a bit too much debris from production made it into the assembly? Let me know if those MSG 3.5s were any good.
Like the finish and materials. Strider signature handles turn me off instantly, but we all have different design tastes I'm sure. Price-wise, it would have to be a knife that looks like it should be used, but would sit in a safe, most likely.... Lol 🙄

Yes Looks good, i like striders.
I bought one a few months ago and was disappointed in the action. Then I purchased a Marfione DOC. Same issue with the action.
not really a strider fan, but have to say that this one is pretty cool! Thanks for the video!
Looks like something I would like.

New sub👍

That grip pattern reminds me of Kershaw starter series with the grenade style grip pattern.
MC, could the knife be sent in to the makers to update the bearings, is that even a thing? Not sure, just asking.
Not sure about that honestly.

Microtech-Strider-Emerson-Hinderer- Chris Reeve. Who needs more 💯🇺🇸🐐
Demko ??? This name tells you something ? 😁😎
AKA. Its very expensive.

Nope, actually use it all the time
I was so disappointed in the action of that knife. I sold mine.
Oh yeah, lack of external stops. Hmm hmm. Perhaps a revision is in order.
Being a machinist i can only imagine what it would take to make an integral titanium frame
I’d also be the type to get it and make it into a flipper delete. That’s just me though!!!
Out of curiosity what tool would you use to delete the flipper? I want to do that to my Kizer sheepdog..

@@PockeTanK will do thank you! That's some awesome work on display
I hope you understood my reply on instagram
Not quite my cup of tea, but it’s cool looking!
Striders look like shit but are comfortable in operation.
Nick will hate it (pecker)
If you’re a knife guy you’re going to hate this knife because of the action. It’s terrible
