- The importance of clean water is finally coming to the forefront, and it’s about time. Toxic water is not limited to Southern California dealing with Hexavalent Chromium and Flint, Michigan’s lead crisis. Toxins like microbes, pesticides, plastics, prescription meds, metals, chlorine, fluoride and others are poisoning our water supply. The scary fact is that many of these toxins have been shown to cause cancer, birth defects, cardiovascular effects, reproductive problems and more. Drinking water straight from the tap is no longer an option.

My concern is the use of plastic with this or any other water filter.
The problem with this test is that they didn't actually test the water after they put the diet coke into the pitchers. They just said the Aqua Tru LOOKS clear. Put it to the real test and show a water meter reading.
I concur...light on the content re: testing...too showy, hard to take seriously.

Susan h110 THIS is an excellent comment. One of the reasons given to go with reverse osmosis to to get away from bottled water.But here you do not lose the plastic leaching into the water soy why is this product a buy? I don't get it.
We've had Aquatru for a year. We live in a typical city in Florida...not rural, not well water. Our filters never last more than 2 weeks. Aquatru replaced our unit 3 times...each time the filtration time started out fast...20 minutes, but after 2 weeks was taking 3 hours to fill the fill cabinet. We trashed our unit and now use purchased RO water from a health food store...The Aquatru experiment was a waste of time and money.
this is disappointing. I love how fast it fills, so if that doesn't continue I'll return for sure!

Why would you endorse a product with such horrible customer service? I ordered this water filter on 3/14/2017 with no response from Aquatruwater other than confirming the order. I sent out an email on 4/2 for a status and they finally said it was on back order. After that, no response from them. I emailed them again on 4/13 to see if I can get a refund and they responded with the date it will be mailed. No apology, no information on cancelling. I sure hope this never breaks down and I need service. If you can't get customer service when you order a product, how can you get customer service if you need help from them??

I have not bought or tested this AquaTru reverse osmosis water system yet, but I did find the best place to buy it. Order it at www.homedepot.com and ship it to store where you can pick it up.
So is your issue with him endorsing it or with the customer service received? It sounds like you're trying to hold him responsible for someone else's shortcoming. If they are unresponsive then complain to them, but don't sound so indignant that he recommended a product that (apparently) works well.
The only thing this proved was how clear the water looked. Maybe water clarity=Purity, but I'd like to see test results for contaminants, such as Chlorine & Fluoride. I've heard there could be as many as 30 contaminants in drinking water. A test that tested for many contaminants would show how well it removes each contaminant. jmho.
Mark Olson in fact there are more than 30 contaminants. The whole chemistry industry sells its products to all industries which reject one way or another their wastes into nature which filter it out through soil but what remains ends in aquifer, lakes, rivers, seas, oceans and that's the source of tap water. Of course tap water is filtered but not to the point to remove the staggering thousands number of contaminants unregulated.
I'm glad I chose this brand over the Puricom. This is so much more easy to use, especially with the filter changing. The Puricom is almost double the price.
Weird because I tried this with my Aqutrue at home and it didn't do this. It didn't turn the Diet coke into water. Also this doesn't show the total TDS after running it with this filter. That's the only thing that matters.
TDS is absolutely not what matters because TDS doesn't distinguish between minerals and contaminants.
So, this is a setup.
Look at the time laps between 4:07 and 4:09. The coke reservoir doesn't change but the clear side water almost doubles. Something fishy going on here.....

My choice is Epic Water Filters. The filters cost a fortune, but they last 3, 4, 5 times longer than most of the competition. It also takes out more contaminants than most. A Great choice methinks. 🧐
You don't add to the waste water tank after filtering. You must dispose of the contents of the waste water tank before refilling it.
Useless test. People buy water filters for their ability to remove impurities from water, so do the best thing. If your water filter is so good, get a real testing kit and show us the difference in read out performances. This diet coke crap is just a gimmick.

@@bighands69 Not everyone has a burning need or desire to filter diet Coke. But numerous independent labs have tested the ZERO system and it does just what it says it does.... with water. Lead, many other things come right out. Maybe if I can ever think of a reason why I would need to turn diet Coke into water I might buy this. But for $30, the ZERO water does it all, even lead, at a fraction of the price.
Drink the cleanest water u can find & don't think about it, just drink & hope ! 💝
AquaTru sent me a defective unit. Then, another with the same defect, can't install the filters. Refund ?? Only about $18.

Originally, I pre-ordered for a special price. It never arrived. I got an employee to track it down. My order/paperwork was sitting on a manager's desk. I was told they could not authorize a charge to my credit card without my permission. WHAT THE F**k ?? They had my phone number and e-mail, but couldn't contact me for a product I had already ordered ??
Other companies have better products and better customer service.

I’ve got one and I’m really happy with it just remember to follow the instructions and dump out the feed tank everything on time and run a clean water purified gallon through once a week also this person mistakes filters have to be changed every six months I believe they’re only the pre-filter is that catches most of the big stuff and the RO filter should last twice as long because it gets less garbage and it’s self cleans, process up above helps keep all the filters cleaner and ends up saving your money with just a little bit of effort.
Do you mean reverse osmosis when you say RO? Is this better than the cartridge filters ?

I didn't think it was possible, but my water tasted worse after running it through the AquaTru than it did straight from the tap. Am very disappointed in Dr. Hyman and still waiting for my refund.

On the diet coke filtered water how did it taste? Just because it's clear there might still be flavor from contaminating chemicals. Was there any artificial sweetener sweetness or other chemicals you can taste? Did that one test blow out the life span of the filter?
Hate that coke demo at the end. Ain't there a better way of showing it removes contaminants ?
Tests of this water system shows all nearly all contaminants are filtered except fluoride.

@@Davo198Independent tests in recent years, including ones tested by oath driven integrative doctor Dr Bradley Campbell, indicate fluoride & some minerals are coming through. We are still using this water system but we take chlorella supplements with kills fluoride.

I purchased a gravity water filtration system. .... the Aqua Rain.... I love it. No electricity needed. Two containers sitting on top of one another. The top has the filters in it... the only system that I know of that lets you know WHEN you need to get new filters. This I would not use if you gave it to me. Sorry
I'm honestly looking for a good water filter and i keep finding IDIOTS testing filters, one was STUPID enough to drill a hole in the filter b/c it was 2 SLOW

I ordered an AquaTru unit and received it in an old re-taped box. Open the box and the unit smelled disgusting. Returned it and they sent a replacement. Received it the same as the first. I am returning this one and requesting a refund. I am not going to accept a used unit.

Don't waste your money. These filters are good in theory, but their product is junk, and the customer service backing it up is laughable. Our unit was defective when received, and trying to get a refund or replacement is not possible.
Went to their site and I'm 3 or 4 pages in and still can't find a price for this thing! Not a good sign.

As already highlighted by others, reverse osmosis takes out the minerals in the water too and that is not the best solution to our drinking water problems either.
You can get minerals through food and/or supplements. Water without minerals is much better with water with minerals and contaminants.
They also sell a mineral pH alkalizer filter that adds minerals it's an optional filter
Get get a water distiller and your problems are over!!!
That worked great, but I heard that reverse osmosis systems changed water to more acidic than alkaline, acidic water is unhealthy. You want the water to be more alkaline

I purchased the aquatru through your link. I just received it and it filters for 20 seconds then stops. the only way it will finish a gallon is if i switch it on and off. does that make sense or am i doing something wrong
I followed the instructions completely as they said in the manual and initially it may stop/start and they asked that you flip from on to off and back again.
Once it's filtered through 4-5 times, it's operating as it should.
I also thought my filters weren't fitting but they needed to be turned with more muscle power.
Perhaps the reason there is slack is because the directions are in one place and if you don't read and heed then it will seem frustrating. I had the thought of returning, if the dripping continues.

This water process is fast as well as the water flow.
Re: customer service, I'm very picky and haven't needed, so if that is their downfall, I hope they take steps to improve it. I also think there will be a 2nd generation machine. I'm thrilled with this!

Berkey filters filter out pathogens and fluoride. (if you add on the optional fluoride filters)

This is an unfair and bias video. Two filters are not designed for filtering soda. In most cities those two filters are just fine. You must be getting some major kick backs from the Aquatruwater. But, for basic home filtering, the best over all for cost and effectiveness is Alexapure Pro.

I learned that Chlorine dissipates when left to sit for about 24 hrs, therefor does Fluoride dissipate the same way? I can not find any info about fluoride dissipating or this filter removing Fluoride? Could you leave info?

Did you test the filter in question (AquaTru)? So far Mike Adams has done really nice absorption and filtering analyses, but his results do not show details about fluoride.
Theoretically.... the fluoride anion has a 6-coordinate ionic radius of 133 pm (molar mass of 19 g/mol). These are higher for hydrofluoric acid (HF, which is a reaction product of the most commonly used fluoridation additive, fluorosilic acid).
The molar mass of pure water (H2O) is 18g/mol (18.02 cm3/mol). However, the hydrofluoric acid has a smaller molar volume at 17.4 cm3/mol.
I*m not sure it is possible to nano-filter fluoride products out of water by purely mechanical (membrane filter) means. I*m not a chemist so I may be wrong.

The water has to have minerals in it. Otherwise, it will take out minerals from our bodies - about 4l of destilled water is a lethal dose for grown man.

jschrager23 It would be optimal if water would have the same amount of minerals as a mineral bottled water (about 800-2000 mg/l, it depends if you're physically active). Adding just sea salt may give you just a lot of sodium and little amount of other minerals, and that's not ideal proportions.

It lasted about a year without any problems and then I had it for a few more years since I paid so much for it but the filtration would always stop and I had to take out and put in the filters over and over or take out after tank and clean it and make sure the magnet on bottom was clean/dry etc it was a pain to maintain until it finally stopped working for good. I gave it my best shot and had it for more than 5 years and would be so happy when I would get a filtered tank of water. I now have the epic water filter which is a lot cheaper and works fantastic you might want to check it iut

I rather zero water. This video reminds me of a Home owner insurance commercial where this customer's insurance was so "awesome" that it covered against home alien invasions. Well, he called in for help with his washing machine...but it wasn't covered 😂😂😂. Same thing here with this stuff. no one needs a water filter to filter their diet Coke so they can have water lol. I would like to see it filter tap water and that water tested for dissolved solids, etc. From this videos smoke screening, I'd have to think it could NOT even do that, ...and that's what we all need it to do. I would never but this product now just because of this silly video😒😝🙁👎

"Distilled". God made nothing. Water in nature is not distilled and nowadays may be contaminated by man. Please go back to school and try and read aa book a week.

Obviosly you dont know how natural circule works and how destiler works.Water falling from the sky,drom the clouds and it go some in the rivers,lakes and othe rin the ground and that we call underground water sorses which plant use for its growth.Water in the rivers and lakes are under constant hit of the sun,and than water is boiling,and water vapor going up,leaving the lake or river,and at that stage its 100% FREE FROM ALL FILTHY MATERIALS,it goes up and clouds are cooling the water,and once its ready that water fall down again and thats exact same think that the destilers are doing and that process we call "Destlation" ofc thath nowdays drinking rain water is not that healthy because air is contaminated,but that doesnt mean that we cant mimic the nature and do the same in our homes using the principle of purification of water -destilation-that God gave us in nature...
