Yeah me too, but it's not easy to find that here in Sri lanka. It is usually sold in cans in Indian sweet shops which are not available everywhere. At first I thought it was a kind of soup but after I tried it I really enjoyed it. The thing about Indian sweets for Sri Lankans is that we really like them but we can't eat a lot because our sweet tolerance is way lower than them. Also they are really expensive over here probably because fresh milk is not cheaply and abundantly available here like in India.

We Indians don’t have sensitive taste buds as we eat both too sweet and too spicy… so ya we tend to find foreign food tasteless… One of the major reason for the same is that India have a large variety of spices… And I’m a Gujarati… so ya tasty food is something I never compromise with. I don't find anything problematic here. They politely rejected the food they didn't liked. That's normal. We can't expect each and every person to have the same taste palate like us. As an Indian we like too sweet things because all of our food have lots and lots of varities of spices and saltiness, so it's beyond just "salt and pepper". Even if we can't handle spices we eat that anyways after that to change the platter we eat sweets, then we eat that same spicy food again and then sweets after that so this cycle never stops. That's why for us gulab jamun is like love, no no first love ❤️😂

As an indian I can relate to this, I know it's way too sweet but no need to be so rude, like, it's not as bad as "Can I throw up?"
I wouldn't like gulab jamun in the first try either🤣 especially if it's not fresh made. It grows on you slowly tho!

As an Indian I can say gulab jamun is actually tooo sweet.
I personally cant eat more than 2 gulab jamun cuz of the sweetness.
But my husband is completely opposite he'll eat 10 gulab jamun in one go.
So everyone has different taste.

That is called evolution of taste buds. It's ok they didn't like it because of their taste buds. That's it. Long time ago, I worked on the project when I got to know a lot about it. And i think these are still evolving.

But i am aware its extremely sweet which is one of the best things about it😅
Asians usually don't too sweet or spicy.. There food is just soy sauce and fish sauce in all the food they eat .. Unlike our food which is filled with all the flavours ❤️
