We live within walking distance from Osceola and are out there all the time and the tire tracks you saw were probably mine haha! Ian only brought us wind so it’s been drying up a bit lately
Reynolds Bridge has commonly been used as a route for 18 wheelers and farmers avoiding Florida Dept of Ag and DOT check points. So imagine 18 wheelers barreling across that thing. Last I drove across, it was quite shaky.
I’ve never seen a weight limit listed. I know a farmer that has farms on both sides of the river and he grows hay in Georgia but has horses and hay barns in Florida. The Dept of Agriculture hassles him every time he crosses so he bypasses them on this bridge. I have seen several log trucks and some cement trucks cross it.
Great video, the clear pond you walked up to is spring fed and is a frequent swim spot for locals. If you wanted to access Ocean pond, there is another trail just north of the main entrance that takes you to Hog Pen Landing and there is a boat ramp with dry camping open year round.
@@FloridaJeepRides hit me up next time y’all ride through and I’ll see if we can gather a few more jeeps for a cruise. We trail ride out there all the time. A buddy of mine knows those woods like the back of his hand.
@@FloridaJeepRides never heard of Jeepin with Judd so I looked it up. Didn’t make the cut, they are sold out of spaces to register. Looks like a fun one though, plus I have a 98’ Cherokee, website says jeeps only haha. Y’all have fun
A little trick, but not a rock solid one, for checking for washouts in water, without walking thru it with a stick. Carry along some cordage with a good size rounded sinker to throw across water holes and drag back to you. You will have to throw it several times in different locations, to "feel" for holes or a complete washout, but it gives you an idea without having to get wet first.. To add, if you have a measurement of the deepest you are willing to drive thru, and put a small cork on the line above the sinker at that deepest measurement, (big enough to float with line, but small enough for the sinker to pull under), you know if it goes under, you don't want to go thru it..
If we had more time we would have, Nat'l Forest Rd 277 had a sign. www.google.com/maps/@30.2510533,-82.4440943,3a,19.3y,356.86h,81.71t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sYG6n8qUPEKZHLMPjsj2h-A!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?hl=en

What’s the weight limit? It would be interesting to get in the area and see what’s going on down under.

Cool, thanks. We will have to make a quick stop next time we are heading up.

Next up for us is getting ready for Jeepin with Judd. We want to get up there and spend some more time in Black Water.

I carry a pocket fisherman and that would be a great use for it... other then fishing.
That looks like a good time. Might have to plan a trip up north!
Definitely! We are thinking about the North end of the Georgia Adventure Trail come spring.
A nice, scenic ride. looks like a nice part of FL (and some of GA)
I do love the rolling hills of the panhandle. Day two will have some footage from Wakulla.
This looks like so much fun. Would love to see how we could travel all over Florida, tail only.
They have one that dips down through Ocala as part of the trail too.
To see ocean pond you can go to hog pen landing

What happened to the rest of the phat
Working on day two currently. Almost to the rough cut.
Did anyone respond about the lost dog box?
Not yet...
Very interested in the ride, is this listed on Gaia? If so what is it marked as?
Not sure if they will have it or not.

You wouldn’t want to share your trail map for this adventure would you? I’d luv to duplicate it!
I made it public if you use Gaia GPS it should show.
