Albor Guitars Prototype

On a recent trip to Mexico with Ultimate Queen Celebration (starring Marc Martel), I met with luthier Lizet Albor of Albor Guitars (and formerly of Distorted Branch, the luthiery that created my Red Special inspired build). Let's see what she has been up to!

I've been a semi-professional musician ever since 1986 (I'm an IT guy for a daytime gig) & have played a wide variety of off the shelf guitars over the years. I share Steve Vai's belief that your BFF guitar isn't always the one with the highest price tag. Sometimes it's just a matter of finding the right tone woods, Pickup, electronics & hardware combinations. Finding a manufacturer in this day & age that'll let you customize all aspects of the build are rare without the price tag being in excess of $10,000. I'm seriously interested in looking these folks up for my next BFF guitar build.
