If the hitboxes shown here are accurate, then the hitbox at 2:05 by R.Mika, is way ahead from where her shoulder is and that does not make sense. That's problem that I found with this game, some hitboxes are not correctly represented with the corresponding animation.
Chun's cr mp as a Meaty is like my thing rn. Learned about it from a channel called xylotep, and have been expanding upon it by myself. So fun... Gotta love the early days of exploration of a game/character.
what dongulator said, condition your opponent so they stop doing it on wakeup and then start doing your meaties. Shimmying is a good way to bait invincibles
But guys, that's the problem... I do try baits. I try mixups, I try to check what they are doing. But the one time I try to do a meaty I get punished. If I block, they won't do a thing. I'm always unlucky lel
+187onaPigeon if you're relying on luck, you aren't being observant enough. It's not just about choosing your mixups at random, but tailoring them to what your opponent is doing. It's impossible to track everything that goes on in a match, so instead, choose situations you find yourself in a lot. I play Chun, so I might choose to pay particular attention to what my opponent does after a SBK combo, as I get good setups from this. If I'm fighting Ryu, for example, I might just dash forward and block just outside of throw range and watch to see what he does- if he does nothing, I might throw him next time, if he presses buttons, I might use b+H to crush counter, if he DP's I punish. This hard bit is not getting frustrated if you're wrong, and trying to identify the key places in a match when your opponent always responds in a certain way, and where he is considering and changing his responses. Likewise, you need to identify your own bad habits if you dont want to get blown up.
"which is obviously fuckin terrifying" lol too true
this is why dudley's overhead was so beastly in SF3 and SF4
Great vid. I like that Karin over head set up a lot!
Great info, this is a like untold secrets i never knew about this game. If been just playing for over 2 months tho so

you're vids are insane man. Nice work!
I guess that now with the nerf on all invincible uppercuts meaties are a better option?
mp rasenha?
What is the definition of a meaty combo?
Whenever I try meaties I get punished with an invincible move. Al fucking ways. So I never do them.
+187onaPigeon Hit the lab.
Bait the invincibles (block) and get a crush counter. If they adapt and stop doing it, that's when you can try to get meaty hits in.

Thank you.
if you get hit by a full screen overhead, your deserved that L.
Why do they call it "Meaty"?
Because you are hitting them with the "meat" of the attack.
Because it's full of flavour
