- MONTE FAITO is a 1 hour drive from Positano. There is also a cable car to get there from the train station at Castellamare.
Leni and Rosi are my friend Elisabeths daughters, they often make a minim vlog for me to add to my videos. This week they were on holiday in Austria.
Hiring a car or scooter to drive along the coast road is not for the faint hearted. If you want to stop at any of these viewpoints please be respectful of where you pull over, leaving room for others to pass (as the road is narrow and can get very congested.)

Positano is incredibly beautiful. But honestly I love the scenes of Nicki and Carlos's home. It's just a tiny world in itself.

Keeping one's arms straight is definitely a must, I experienced not doing so in a very painful manner, if I were a male I'd have no children today.
This was so nice. I took my kids there in 2011, drove from Rome through the mountains to Amalfi and stayed halfway up a mountain in a pretty villa in Minori. I had a rented Fiat that we buzzed around the Amalfi Coast stopping everywhere! I love and miss it there. The culture was fantastic. We ate at restaurants but mostly tried to blend in and cook home Italian meals. The food is so much more nutritious there being grown in good soil with free ranging animals. We ate so much and didn’t gain even 1 lb from all the walking and stair climbing.

Your variety is beautiful, and lunch with family looked delicious !!! It's good to have the woods, and beach near by - you never get bored. Loved your garden too as always. I really enjoyed the trip along the coast with you! I find it so amazing how all of the houses, churches, businesses are tucked in throughout the mountain. Such breathtaking views! We’re experiencing a drought where I live in Missouri, USA. Our garden is burning up, even with watering it. The pastures are brown and the ponds are drying up, so we’re already feeding hay and hauling water to our cattle. Your garden looks so green and healthy. I loved to water ski as a kid so glad to see Leni and Rosi getting their chance to learn. Definitely do brave the drive to England. I'm not sure why we get so cautious as we get older and seem to lose a little bit of the adventurous spirit. I think about that kind of thing and push myself to go out and have adventrures just like I did when i was younger.

I love how when the sunlight passes through the branches and leaves of the trees. It looks so serene and makes one easy to imagine that there are spirits playing hide and seek there when there are no people around. As someone who has traveled solo many times for many years, I say go for it. The only thing that's a bit hard at first is eating dinner in a restaurant on your own. During the early years of solo travel, I would bring a book, but now there's the cellphone.

Motorways in France Friday Saturday and Sunday complete nightmare with holidaymakers all the way up to Paris start easing off end of August when the children go back to school good luck if you choose to go by car.💞

Nicki your editing and narration is amazing. You really allow the viewer to immerse themselves in your own experiences. Whether it be early morning swimming by waterfalls, breakfast at a village cafe (half a loaf of bread sarnies 🍞,) making delicious fragrant pesto or working at a beautiful hotel, you really allow us to feel the warm sun, smell the basil and delight in cool morning waters. Actually Nikki,I hate to tell you this, but we are also having very hot weather in England, especially the south east where your Dad lives. We did have 40 degrees one day which was unbearable, no one moved from the house, and fans were on at full blast.
You are right about the flights being a nightmare, but we are now experiencing long queues at Dover with people trying to get over to France. Personally, I would wait until the kids go back to school when all the madness dies down, and travel either by air or sea is easier.
Anyway, hope if you do decide to to make the journey, it’s a pleasant one.

The 'bathing suits on the beach only' rule makes perfect sense to me. In the UK I loathe seeing half naked men walking around town centres and shopping in airconditioned supermarkets with only shorts and slides on. I feel grossed out and embarrassed for THEM. It lowers the tone of the entire environment. I don't want to see woman in in that sort undress either, not outside the context of a seaside or poolside situation. I love your channel. Everybody needs to go to the Amalfi Coast at least once in their lives. Magnificent. Your wild swimming videos are fantastic. I've pinned things on my map thanks to you, places I'd never have known about. I hope to visit Italy again within the next couple of years...whenever the aviation sector can sort itself out. My favorite part of this video was the little girls water skiing. I was impressed with the set-up that helped them be successful. I learned how to ski as girl but had to start from in the water. It took a lot of strength to pull up and then the waves behind the boat were tricky. Your views of the beach were beautiful too.

We (from near La Spezia, Liguria) take the route Milan-Como- Gottard tunnel (free) - Basel- Strasbourg- Luxembourg - across Belgium to Calais- Eurotunnel. No motorway tolls except for Italy, cheaper petrol in Luxembourg and much more interesting scenery than across France. We did France during covid as every country had different rules but I’m delighted we can go back to our usual route now. We travel between Wimbledon and Val di Vara at least twice a year.

Lovely Coastal trip. My only problems are when you flip the camera and look straight down. I'm sitting in a chair and I nearly got vertigo. But I have to admit, it was beautiful! Thank you for taking us into the garden I love that part. I need to get out my dictionary or my thesaurus because I tend to use the word "wow" a lot when I'm watching your videos. At the beginning I think I probably said it 6 or 7 times and I thought well hey, you know other words than that, use them! Can't wait to see what you decide about your trip. I love going on picnic, I go all out with the picnic basket and checkered table cloth!😎. It's very romantic and something people don't do much anymore.
