You should get things correct‼️ Harlow died of kidney failure. There was no such thing as dialysis back then.

I thought she was quite attractive in her younger years but she just became uglier when she went into movie acting. Must have been what was inside coming out. I would have been terrified of her if I had met her in real life. I do not know how she ended up having so many sexual endeavours with starring actors.

I always wondered if the concoction she used to strip her natural hair color so she could get that platinum blonde played role in causing her kidney failure. She used a mixture of Lux soap flakes, chlorine bleach, and hydrogen peroxide. The fumes alone would have been awful. It seems with the bleach and peroxide, it could have been absorbed into her system through her skin and started effecting her internal organs.

@@pamelasimone5084 hell I can see it being plausible with this all being over 80 years ago!! Even now bleach is caustic and wreaks havoc on ur hair not to MENTION BURNS like hell fire (I know bc I’m a blonde-aholic and now paying the price for it with my hair falling out). It probably did along with her contracting scarlet fever as a child, and probably ignoring the medical symptoms she was having!! Also they didn’t even have a treatment for kidney disease back then!

Add rumor mongering, speculation, vindictive gossip, and distortion of the facts by those who hated or those who cover up facts into the publicity mix and a scandal is born.

Many women who became actresses were molested as children or raped as young women. If their parents promoted their careers, they would be the main breadwinners for the family and exploited by the people who should have been their emotional support.

    scandal is a stupid word.
Most of these people were victims of their industry. Esp the women.
They don't need to be accused of causing their illnesses, rapes, murders...
These stories should be called tragedis, not scandals.
Gary Cooper was naive. It's the women who pursued him.
    Exceptions: Chaplin, Sinatra, Crawford.
Some of these people were just insane, and their insanity were part of their appeal to movie producers, i.e. the casting couch.

The Rangers won the World Series, and the Mets had a horrible year. The comments that followed were tearing me a new butt hole, but I left it up there because it was my opinion at the time, and so what? Big deal, I was wrong. If I made the comment, I have to stand by it right? Otherwise I’d be a phony. In fact, I got a good laugh out of everyone piling on. You can’t take yourself too seriously in life.
