- Hey Guys! Today is episode #3 of Create This Book 2! It feels pretty good to finally make some progress on this series! I decorated the outside of the book including the cover, spine, edges, (posca paint pens make a comeback) as well as doing a page within the book (Create Drips), which I themed after crayon melting. Have you guys tried crayon melting before? It was a popular crafting trend a few years ago, but I was never any good at it. I think I prefer drawing them haha.
BTW. SORRY if my voice sounds quieter, for some reason I was speaking more softly than normal? or maybe I was too far from the mic. no clue why LOL.

-YES I know today is the 8th of February, but I completed that page on Wednesday, the 6th. I never film the same day I post, it takes me multiple days to make a video

A thing I found out with crayons is when youre coloring, apply as much pressure as possible so as much pigment can be imbeded into the paper, then scrape off the top layer of wax with a clay tool and it gives it a glossy, printed texture with out the waxy texture of regular crayons. It makes an annoying noise but its fine🙃💜💙💚💛❤💗

A tip for coloring with crayons: once you color with them on paper - color really hard, scrape the colored area with a pencil with the eraser missing or a similar tool then the way texture of the crayons will be gone from the drawing and it will be smooth

What's great about create this book is because you can decorate basically everything in it, even the front and the back cover... I think Moriah is a genius for making this book! Also she is soooo great at art, sometimes I just watch her videos and say to myself... Me being an artist is just a dream.
i loved the crayon design, it just made me so happy because all the colors were in order and it looks so good, i love all ur creations Moriah i hope u keep doing it!

Just an FYI you might want to point out for anyone that might not know.....If you go in order, it might distort the spine causing the book to loose form whereas randomly going thru the book evenly expands the spine keeping more book form intact. (If that makes sense - I had a lot of trouble trying to describe this).

Hey Moriah!! If you ever decide to make another create this book, (obviously after you finish this one) a little tip for the cover:
You can use any flat surface (but I recommend something flexible) to smooth out those air bubbles you hate. I used to be a librarian assistant, and I would have to tape up books. This really helps as long as you press hard and really take the time!!
