That’s a really great and inexpensive idea. I too use a power bank, so that I’m not constantly changing GoPro batteries. Due to all the rain in Texas lately, I had to come up with a way to waterproof mine. What I did was apply UV resin “Flex” to the same areas you referenced and a UV light to cure it. Works like a charm. When I want to remove the resin, I use a razor blade to simply pop it off.
