Just wanted to say thank you for this video, I have a V1 Cozmo that I had bought used a few years ago, that had it's battery finally die. I bought a 620mah replacement upgrade on Amazon and it fit perfectly. I followed your step by step instructions and everything came out perfectly and now Cozmo is working like new again! I had electronics training as a young man and I had my own soldering station on hand and I'm sure that made that part easier but I feel anyone could do it if they take their time and be careful. It's great to have Cozmo working like new again. I'm considering getting a Vector and passing my Cozmo on to my Gf's son but I'm not sure if I could set up the server kit that you sell. Also, I use a VPN on all of my connected devices, would that interfere in any way with the server setup? I'm really tempted because I've wanted a Vector for years! Thanks again for the great video! 😊 💯
I had to watch this as a refresher. I had not replaced a battery in a cosmo or vector in a few years and forgot how, lol. Glad I was able to find this vid. My eyes are not as good as they were back then so I had a little trouble but got it done. Now to test and see how long he will last. My son had one of my other ones and he said he got 1 hour and 15 min of play.
Outstanding video! Thanks for doing all that you do with Cozmo and testing all different types of batteries. Also, for your help with users on here and reddit.
I Love that blue mat your using. What is it called? Can I get it on amazon or ebay? I always lose screws.. .lol Thanks for the video. Will have to tackle this with a used COSMO I just picked up. Also, is there a thingiverse STL file for the replacement charging dock?
Thanks, I got it from Amazon here:www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077JPS8F8 Regarding the STL, this is the original one is here: www.thingiverse.com/thing:4265743 But it is not the same as the one I sell, which I have heavily modified

It is perfectly fine, the silicon or rubber material placed on the battery is there to insulate the body components from heat coming from the battery. Also the head compartment can produce heat, but running longer has shown now overheating warnings or errors.
Thank you very much man. I was able to replace battery of my Cozmo. Great help!!! Cozmo says thank you. :).
Thank you very much from Germany! 🇩🇪👍🤗

My Goodness thats a TON of work for a battery replacement.
😁 at first yeah, after a while I checked to see how fast I could get one done with no interruptions: it was 15 mins
Insanely complicated. Do you know of any shops that could possibly do this if we ship it in for repair?

is it bad to replace it with a long lasting battery? I heard it can overheat

Здравствуйте! Мой cozmo не обновляется, может быть вы знаете решение проблемы
Привет, вам может понадобиться новый аккумулятор для Lipo 3.7v 600mAh 603035
Just replaced my daughters with a bigger battery only took about 30 mins. Got 5 batteries off Ali for a tenner bargain.
