An encounter with you is like encountering Salvation. You made complex things extraordinarily simple. We may not reward you but trust me. Your heavenly father will. Thanks a bunch. 🇳🇬
Good stuff thanks to you I've learned all my scales all my twelve keys chords. All my basic 7th chords etc and now this finally makes sense and us actually super easy thank you brother
Hey Warren. How are u? I have a question. I'm training major and minor pentatonic in all 12 keys, but I'm a bit lost on how to use my fingers, I couldn't find patterns yet to make the whole 4 octaves exercise fluid. Do you have any tips? Thank you. Ur channel is awesome and has been helping me a great deal
Rodrigo Cortez the tip I have would be for you to get the correct fingering first; I have a full tutorial on that here; pianolessonwithwarren.com/courses/the-pentatonic-scale-fingerings/
Great lesson Warren, but I am struggling to work out the RH finger pattern you are using for the C Major pentatonic scale, is it up 123 12 12345 5 down 5321 21 32 121 ?
Thank for this lesson Warren. A while ago, you did a lesson called "Rythm Chords" where you show how to animate / arpeggiate chords, but it was only triads. Do you have any tutorial on how to do it on 7th+ chords ?
@@PianoLessonwithWarren I listened again & I believe around 8:35 mins. you explained. You said the Pentatonic Scale played a 3rd above, actually contains most of the notes of the Dmin7 chord.
Yoo brother do you have a lesson on getting that vibe and feel with the scale? You know that feel that seems like you kinda swinging the notes and not going strait up and down on the scalez
Unfortunately no. That’s not easy to teach. Like you say, it’s a vide - the best way to learn it is to start practicing it yourself. The fact that you notice it and aware of is a great place to start.
@@PianoLessonwithWarren hhmmm I hear ya. Here's an idea tho. Make short videos just playing like that not a lesson per say but doodling around with a basic concept progression like that. there's a cat over here who does that and the stuff that cums up just him improv are gems I promise you that's gona be a great watch for some of us who are on that intermediate to advanced bridge.. Lol jus a thought
@@PianoLessonwithWarren I watched this video 30min ago, and now I'm shredding all 12 scales with 4th and 7th Pentatonic. My wife walked in and asked me when did i become a pro Jazz pianist?
Neo-soul is a style of R&B, it uses a lot of the same chords, just played differently. Bro soul often uses the concept of borrowed chords and Chromatic Mediants
Joseph Muwanguzi they are very similar. These are the notes fir C Pentatonic: CDEGA and these are the notes to A minor pentatonic : ACDEG. The only thing that is different is what note you start on. So basically when ever key you’re plain in, you can always use the relative minor pentatonic scale
Many times despite I like too much the pentatonic scale, this particular scale when I try to improvise I feel a little uncomfortable to move around the instrument with mi right hand... despite I know very well the notes, etc, but when the time to improvise comes that’s cost me a little bit more

Hey Warren what chord sounds good under the minor pentatonic scales? Thanking you v
The minor pentatonic and the major pentatonic in most cases can be used interchangeably

Thanks for watching David. Unfortunately I know have one for Seventh chords as yet.
@@PianoLessonwithWarren I try to figure it out by watching you play but it goes a little bit fast.
The way u solo with d pentatonic scale did u derive the tone from the Spanish guitar or something
I get my influence from many styles 😉
Yo Warren. I'm looking forward to seeing you play Yolanda Adams - let thy will be done. That's a great song and challenge!!!
HI, Warren. Why is the result of the 3rd method DIATONIC?
Sorry, this video was published awhile ago, can you share some clarity on your question?

So thank you~ I like this teaching. It's simple. And clearly, exactly.
thanks for the lesson . can u explain for me neo soul chords

Second! Great tips!
Great warren, minor pentatonic scale??
What about the minor pentatonic scale?
How to go about them
Joseph Muwanguzi they are very similar. These are the notes fir C Pentatonic: CDEGA

So basically when ever key you’re plain in, you can always use the relative minor pentatonic scale
I have seen some people play pentatonic scale in one so if in C play C. Then they go half step up or something, it sounds amazing, what could that be?
It could be many things. Without more details and context I have no answer.
How about a major or dominant chords sir
Yes those are covered in the full course.
Many times despite I like too much the pentatonic scale, this particular scale when I try to improvise I feel a little uncomfortable to move around the instrument with mi right hand... despite I know very well the notes, etc, but when the time to improvise comes that’s cost me a little bit more

Start with Key G plz
First!
Did you know that Pentatonic Scales were made by Chinese? Because of their hamorny, they're Easterners music songs' soul.
That is actually the Indian bhoop raga, it existed a lot before Chinese music
......like dendo den dendo den seems like your foing up down up down as you come down or up the scale lol know what I mean jaja?
