Fun Fact: My Mom worked and managed the " Cavern Kitchen". Its the restaurant at the Lost Sea. It was in the early 70s. I remember going on tours all the time in the cave.. I knew it so well My Brother and I would just go to the boats and just come back up when ever we wanted..It is one of my favorite memories as a teen..
I have followed you guys for quite some time now. Don't know why I am just now running across this post from 2 years ago, but am glad I did. My wife and I visited Lost Sea Caverns with our very best friends too many years ago. My wife passed a couple years ago. This video brings back such great memories.
Love this!! this was within a few hours of where I grew up and we took field trips there once or twice a year. I remember the tunnel entrance so well, yet I had forgotten about the nature trail and the mini railroad and some of the other goodies!!
Wow 😮 so beautiful caverns place. My mom and I never visit yet but never hear nice place. Thank you share your video. I not know that nice place Tennessee.
Super excited you did this. We are headed to Tennessee, in August in this was on our to-do list. We came last year and decided to come back. Because we loved it so much. We stayed in Pigeon Forge last year. And in Gatlinburg. And this time we will be staying at the Wilderness of the Smokies for the children of course. Thank you so much for all your videos. Really give inside site onto what we want to do
My husband took me there for my birthday 3 years ago, it's beautiful, it's amazing and a lot of history! Thank you for bringing back some awesome memories for me ❤️✝️
Thanks for another great video. I remember doing this when I was growing up. My dad was a teacher, so we traveled and camped all Summer and this is one of the many places that we went. I have such great memories of all the different states and places we’ve traveled to. Parents need to get their kids outside and enjoy nature more. Believe me kids will remember all the places you took them too. Thanks again Will and Dawn for sharing and bringing back wonderful memories.
Hey guys, so glad to see this video, I love Lost Sea caverns. It is just nice sometimes to just go back in these caverns and cool off and enjoy nature's best. I know you enjoyed all of that today. I enjoy going along with you guys when I don't want to drive somewhere and I truly thank you for that. Love and blessings
I went to the Lost Sea when I was 13 and loved, sad though it’s not handicap accessible my wife is in a wheelchair and would love this. Too bad they don’t have some type of scooter that could navigate the terrain down there. Any great video thanks
That was sooo cool. The last time I got to go through a cave , I was about 8 yrs old ( 42 yrs ago). I'd love to go again but my husband would never do it. Thank you for showing me. I miss some of the advenrures I used to have way back when.
Cool little place . But hello from Hyden Kentucky. Would have loved to seen the little trains back in the day .the cave entrance was really cool.cave was beautiful
that looks like a beautiful place to visit unfortanley my hubby would not be able to do that walking up the incline .. would love to visit that place one day though .thanks for posting this
Well now this place is just wonderfully exciting. We took this tour several years ago, the short boat ride was exciting, oh and " the darkest spot ever." Another Great video.
Thank you for taking us along on your adventure. I have heard of the Lost Sea for years. Now I know there is no way I could go on this adventure--between claustrophobia and the water, I was ready for you to get out of there. I'm glad you enjoyed and made the video.
One of the spots we visited on our honeymoon 32 years ago. Good memories, we go almost every year to the Smokies and never have gone back to the Lost Sea. Definitely need to go back.
That place looks magical with the beautiful water but also a little spooky...Bet that 58 degree air temps felt wonderful 🤗 Thanks for sharing your lost sea adventures🐟🐟🐟🐟 🐟🐟💙
We were living in Texas back in the late 70s and drove to see relatives in Ohio and we stopped and visited the Lost Sea. Your vid brought back memories for sure.
I have been in and out of caverns all up and down the eastern US....They are soooo cool😎 Amazing what all you can see in them🤩 It is really neat in there on the water....Those are some big fish🐟 Thanks...I quite enjoyed this adventure of yours🐾🦊🐺
Thanks for the video. I'm 63. My grand mother first took me to the Lost see somewhere between 7-10. Then I took my daughter around the same age. It's not changed much, but still interesting.
Really enjoyed this vlog - Loved the Lost Sea. Since I am a bit claustophobic, I probably would not go down to see this, so thanks for taking me along with you.
We went several years ago and it was so neat! We went on the boat ride. I’m very claustrophobic but this one didn’t bother me because it’s very roomy inside. You’re right about all the gift shops looking the same. That’s why we like going to Three Bears Gift shop in Pigeon Forge… It’s two story and has a little of it all… very nice. We enjoy your channel. Dawn is such a sweetie!
Very cool video,Guys. I would have sworn I'd seen a video of yours on this place before but I guess not. I've always wanted to do this one. Always seem to run out of time.
I love caves this one seems so nice unfortunately I can't walk them any more but I was lucky enough to visit Mammoth Cave a lot when I was younger and actually got to go on the Echo River tour just one time but I absolutely loved it, thanks Will and Dawn for the great tour wish I was able to visit this one 💕
The young lady that did the boat tour was a hoot. You could tell that she enjoys her job just by the tone in her voice. She seemed happy that y'all took the time to come and see what they had to offer. I didn't hear that much excitement in the voice of your other tour guide. But he did seem to know all his facts. He was good at giving y'all all the information but I wonder if he really enjoys his job there. Over the past 63 years we've been to many cave tours and other type of tours and we can tell when the tour guides just do their job and give you the information. Then you got the tour guides that love their jobs and they turn the tour into a very enjoyable experience. The best tour we went on was back in 1990 or so we went to the Mammoth Caves and we took the lantern tour our guide was a older gentleman that knew his stuff and was good at his job and you knew from the start that it was going to be a awesome tour. He was fun and funny he loved his job and he let everyone know it from the start. He had been working there for over 20yrs. He said after 20yrs. he just quit counting he said he did the same with his wedding anniversary after 20yrs who cares if your still in love with your wife and job why bother counting any more. And that set the mood for the whole tour everyone knew we were going to have a great time and we did that was the best and we got our money's worth, and back then it sure wasn't cheap to take that tour but another couple was taking it again just because they enjoyed it so much. That's what sold us on spending the money to go on it. We have also had our share of bad tours one was so bad and she rushed us through everywhere that six of us went back to where we got our tickets and asked for our money back. We spoke with the boss lady and we all told her that we paid for about a one hour tour and it was over in 25 minutes and we didn't go to all the places that were listed on the tour. The lady said that those places were closed for improvements. The boss lady said no their not she said that they had been hearing not so good things about her but that no one ever came and asked for their money back. Well that boss lady gave us half of our money back plus two free tours our choice of the six they offered and a $50.00 buffet gift card and let me tell you that was one awesome pig out buffet... LOL... Wish I could remember the name of the place. It sucks having brain damage. Can't remember names of people and places. I can remember things that happened just can't remember where... LOL... Some about hitting a pickup truck broadside at 45MPH on a motorcycle the guy pull out in front of us... Okay that's another story for another time maybe... I've shared enough stories for now. Great video as always that's for sharing it... Much love and prayers be blessed in Jesus name... BBE
Great video .... You should have come on over my way I am about 20 minutes from the Lost Sea.... You could have went up the Cherohala Skyway on your way back home....
Soo neat seeing everything in cave with boat ride too! Last time I was in a real cave was when I was teenager at Ohio Caverns. Also been to the one in Colorado visting friends with family when I was maybe 10 or 12. Little train on the trail would of been awesome restored for kids to have rides on. My youngest would of loved that! Thanks for taking us along ❤
Im here cuz I found 2 really cool "Sail the Lost Sea" souvenir cups from the 50s/60s in my local thrift store in NW Florida. Now plan to go see it myself!
Another great review!! Thank u. Ive mentioned before that I live in Elizabethton tn (my driving about 1. 5- 1.75 hours away & I have always wanted to do this.. I do suffer from claustrophobic & wonder is there parts you think I would have a hard time with? . The large rooms look good. I think I can handle those… The boat ride would be the best part!!
Out of all the caverns we've been to this one is one of the bigger ones but still could be a problem being claustrophobic and the boat ride was really cool first time I've seen that in caverns thank you so much Tina
I really enjoyed the tour. I like going in caves. The boat ride looked really neat. I will have to visit this place sometime on one of our trips to the smokies. Thanks for sharing it with us. The onlynoroblem that I had was that I could not understand the tour guide.
Thank you for the tour. My wife does not like going in those caves and we have done one by Branson and that is enough. The fish makes this one better than other cave tours.
Sad to dee the lack of care for the train.. there is a train like that un Daviess Co Ind.. at the city park that I rode on over 50 years ago plus my clousin tode on it in 1953...

I was so glad to see that you got to go to the Lost Sea! My husband and I went there 32 years ago on the way home from our honeymoon. It really is a neat place to see! When we were there, the boats had glass bottoms so that you could look down and see the fish swimming underneath you. I was wondering if they still had them??

They have a small Cavern in Childersburg, AL it cool
Wow very neat 💜
Fantastic pictures!!!
We loved the Lost Sea!
I always love how the old timey gift shops smell. Transports me back to summers camping in Smokemont and going into Cherokee to shop. Deb from Fl
