After a long day, I woke up and decided to go back and interview more people. This time, I came across some unique individuals who shared their insights on what’s going on in the community in Springfield, Ohio. I had to go to Snyder Park to count the geese, and then I went around the community. I spoke to everyone, and boy, was I in for a surprise! I live in Springfield and I've never had an issue with the Haitians here. I even learned some Haitian Creole so I can talk to them. They've always been super nice to me.

Dole Food Co. will spend $9 million to add vegetable-processing capacity to its plant in Springfield, OH. As many as 140 jobs will be added at the plant.
Three new packing lines and one new processing line will be built as the company looks to add production capability for its vegetable products. The new lines will be dedicated to leafy greens like spinach and spring mix.
Ohio agreed to provide a 50% tax incentive over 12 years to lure the plant. Springfield is also believed to have offered incentives, according to the Dayton Daily News.
Getting 140 new job why can't they give Springfield people these jobs instead Haitians???

Let me tell you all something that a lot of people outside of Central Ohio or in the Dayton area don’t know. Springfield is about 45 minutes west of Columbus. It’s not considered a Columbus suburb, but more of a Dayton one. It’s basically an extension of the west side of Columbus, which has a tremendous opioid problem. Springfield has had, and still has, that problem. However, unlike being a “neighborhood” or a side of a town, the issue has affected the entire city’s workforce tremendously. Employers in the town couldn’t find workers for anything because the town was grappling with those issues, and as a result, people were leaving Springfield.
When Haitians came in, they filled those jobs and found places to live where the previous residents either didn’t want to live or work So, what you’re seeing from those angry residents is just frustration because they’re not getting those same opportunities. But guess what? I’ll tell them the same thing that’s been told to Black people for years: go hustle, work hard, and stay off drugs, and maybe you’ll get a job. Stop complaining.
Since when is springfield a part of columbus it has the same area code as dayton and who calls it a suburb?

Thank you for shining a positive light on my birthplace! I was a resident as an adult for ten years! I left due to the lack of opportunities 15 years ago! I still have mass family there! I also lived in Columbus a few years! Immigrants of all nationalities have been there for decades! The man was correct about Dayton! There are also many immigrants of different nationalities in Dayton! I’ve lived here for 15 years! Again, Thank you!!!
In 2021 a lot of Haitians found residency in Tijuana, Mexico; the business minded, hard working ones were embraced with open arms & lazy ones threatened & kicked out by locals. Area had super heavy cartel presence & none were really harmed; so they have to be good people in general. 2024 election year hast too many control & divide tactics.
The picture of the geese was an African brother in Columbus, Ohio on Cleveland Ave. The lady in the video was in Canton, Ohio. She is an African American and was having psychosis! There are not any pictures or videos to substantiate the allegations of the pets!

The one two cases you mentioned were the only videos and pictures we saw and it was confirmed that the people weren’t Haitian. When the Mexicans came to Springfield back in the 90’s, they all lived together and stacked their money up. Back then, we joked about it, but as an adult, it was really smart. They all worked at Dole, too. My friend worked there and she gave one a ride home. It was summer time. When we pulled up to drop him off, a BUNCH of men popped their heads out the door and was looking out the window. It was a little overwhelming because it was so many.They wasn’t wasn’t playing.😂 Now, the Haitians are there. This isn’t nothing new. Just a different culture.

As much as I think this is a problem, not because Haitian, but because of the fact that we have a real border crisis. So we are in agreement that they can’t drive the crashing up the place they do not eat cats and dogs, but they do eat the ducks now here’s the problem. The Mexicans and all of the races are taken our jobs but here’s a thing we have black soldiers and Black people Americans been living here for decades and they come in and able to open up one and two and three restaurants now that’s the problem, that’s a big problem
