We figured it would be a funny idea to race from Lancaster to Darlington via the North Yorkshire dales. It was 115km and the train takes 3hr30. Meaning I needed to average around 33kph over some pretty gnarly terrain. It was a lot of fun, and very painful. The loser had to wear an inflatable sumo suit!! Like if you enjoyed!!

What about going round local bike shops like evans etc where they have a turbo set up, ask for a demo, then smash it , get the reactions of the sales assistants etc, but turn up in like builders gear or like a fat suit. :P

1 minute late? In Germany, a train is on time if it's less than 6 minutes late. Canceled trains are not considered late. I am not kidding.

Maybe things have changed, but when I was I Germany the trains were always on time or at least more reliable than UK ones?
@@bendover1125 It's about 80% for long-distance trains and 94% for short-distance trains according to the official statistics from the Deutsche Bahn. I don't think they would make it look worse than it is, so maybe you were just lucky.
@@bendover1125 that must be so long ago, Germany is now a whole different country. In case you missed it: Hitler is not in power anymore, he's actually dead now. World War II is also over now.

I had the same one on my bike, and had the same problem Chris did - the damn thing keeps tilting downward, so I'm guessing that made for crap visibility! Went to a little Bontrager model with a fixed angle and strobe-like flash. Hopefully keeping me a bit safer!
