What a truly beautiful piece of music, played so wonderfully by Jonathan! That music had an ethereal quality about it - gorgeous! How lovely to go back again to St Mary's. You do produce some amazing videos from that organ! Thank you both for sharing this with us. xx
I'm listening to and singing along.... And in my imagination I can see 10 years old Jonathan doing his first steps as organist. How proud of you has been your mom this day when she's heard Widor's Toccata played by you. I hope you have enjoyed your spare time and wishing you all the best for next concerts. Stay well! Greetings to you both and to your parents.🤗🍀
Very beautiful and full of emotion! This organ, Jonathan's childhood friend, has a wonderful, incredible sound! The video is very good, showing more of this beautiful Church. Thank you both for this amazing video!
Beutiful and so serene. A return to the "traditional" music once used by the Catholic Church and played by Johnathan as a budding organist. I will book end this with the Shubert "Ave Maria" played on this organ. From Chicago, U.S.A.
This music brings back good memories. I also played Mozart's Ave Verum in the church, specifically at the consecration of the mass. Thanks for this gift. The church has some nice stained glass windows and the organ you started with still sounds great. Greetings!!❤🤗😘😘
Hello Jonathan, I sang this hymn as a young boy in our church choir. I am 75 years of age now, so you can imaging the emotion I experienced hearing this wonderful piece again! You played it so beautifully and reverently! I will treasure this recording!....God's Blessings to you and Tom! Will Ortiz
A celestial & spiritual musical gift. Love the registrations. Enjoyed the personal note from Jonathan in the description & believe he is as moved playing this piece as I am listening to it. Thank you so much for sharing this. ❤❤💐🎹🎶
Truly beautiful, Jonathan - this particular instrument probably holds very special memories for you as a very young organist? I sang (Mozart's) Ave Verum Corpus (as a bass choir-member) many times in the 1970's - during Mass at St Werburgh's Church, Chester. Thank you for posting.
This song always moves a lot. Thanks for touching her, Jonathan. I remembered the funeral of my dear father and my grandparents. Miss them... 😢🙏🎶🎹❤️🙋🏻♀️
Wow! I played at that church for a funeral. It is a lovely instrument to play and seeing Jonathan play it has made my day!!! As ever, beautiful playing by such a talented guy. Looking forward to seeing you in Bridgewater Hall with Tom in November!!! Can't wait! Also had this sung at my wedding many many years ago ♥♥♥♥♥♥
Such a moving piece of music one of my favourites but you played it so very well…with such care and sensitivity and respect. Sharing with this with my friend who is from Manchester. Thank you xx
One of my favourite pieces of music. We used to sing this in the Humphry Davy Grammar School Choir, I was a treble and in those days didn't have any problem hitting the really high notes.
A very revered tempo. Masterful registration and particularly like the tremolo at measure #30 powerful crescendo contrasted so well with pianissimo which is so important to express in this piece. This is one of Mozart's greatest works. Thank you for sharing this.
I have always found this a very emotionally moving piece, now especially so in the beautiful church of St Mary’s Failsworth, which has been part of your lives for many years. I’ll return to this lovely video again and again.😅
Your videos are always stunning! Brilliant performances of the music, showcasing the amazing organs you play them on, and your brother capturing the highlights and beauty of the location!
Great friend to have.❤😢I just lost a good friend on You an avid beaderand she did tutorial "s on making jewelry. She was in Florida USA and got in a crash on her motorcycle. We have lost to many good people here lately I am sure you both can name a few❤❤❤❤❤❤as always Ms Dee
So much variation in tone from only 6 ranks! You both did a beautiful job bringing beauty to us. I do have a question about what happened at 2:15? It sounds like the tremulant caused a loss of wind and unequal tuning in some of the pipes? Is that correct? Maybe there's something on the organ that is supposed to cause a celeste effect? Please educate me.
Just lovely, thank you. But your feet could have hardly touched the ground from Spain before here you are again! I'm not complaining, far from it, but a quick paddle in the sea doesn't constitute a holiday! Stop rushing about so much! Relax a little, give your minds and bodies a break, we love you and what you do dearly, but please look after yourselves. Kindest and fond regards, a very thankful viewer.
A beautiful rendition. Thank you Jonathan.
I have been waiting for this one!!! Thank you Mr.Scott!!! ❤️

Thank you. As daylight wanes on an island in Lake Superior....
I recognised the 1960s Jardine console straightaway, likewise the tremulant.
Thanks for this simple rendering.
Perfectly done.

In Memory of

02:00 perfect vibrating flute 🥰
Jonathan played Schubert's Ave Maria on this organ previously.
In the hour of my death. ⚰🌹

Could you play the pipe organ the cheerful piece by Léo Delibes (1836-1891) arr. J. Scott Prelude, Mazurka and Waltz (Coppélia) ? 🙏
