I am finishing up a K-swap on my del sol and my lower ball joint nut was just like that. I was refreshing the hubs with new bearings and lower ball joints and I noticed the lower ball joint was completely ground down just like what you were dealing with. I had to use a grinder to lop it off lol. So weird, I figured the previous owner did something stupid to cause that, but maybe its another issue since you dealt with the same thing!

Yeah bro deff got me confused ! I was gonna grind it off too but then the axle is stuck inside the hub so double fed hah
