Good work my man, much appreciated esp since Roman can't seriously review his own product

Holy christ, finally someone outside China finally made a PTM solution that doesn't cost 30$ as a result of having to buy multiple sheets in case of screwing one of em up. I've wasted so much money trying to fix the thermal paste pump out issues the XTX has. Oh well, here we go again spending more money on this thing wish me luck.

@@OrRainoI think the hardest thing for ptm is making sure you don't get knock off stuff. There's so many sellers but not really any good way to verify if it's authentic

a lot of comments saying the PTM from thermal grizzly is just rebranded, but I don't think that is the case as I can't find anything that says it is, and phase change sheets aren't new or only made by honeywell.

Not only is it not rebranded, it is much, muuuuuuuuch worse performing than the real deal. I tried this TG PTM and my idle temps (5950X with decent AIO cooler) were around 40°C - 45°C with peaks of 80°C - 85°C under synthetic heavy load. Got fed up so I went and ordered Honeywell PTM7950 from a reputable source. Idle temps with the same CPU same cooler, same pump speed and same fan curves are now 30°C - 35°C with peaks (again same CPU, same cooler, same pump speed, same fan curves and same synthetic load) of 67°C spotted one single time, usually more like 65°C. Compared to the TG PTM, the Honeywell PTM is just in another league entirely, it's not even close. This is more of a confirmation of how incredibly good the Honeywell PTM7950 is rather than how bad the TG PTM is

There was something off with your installation. I switched from Thermal paste to the PhaseSheet and it dropped my 7800x3d temps by about 3-4°C with everything else being the same. It idles in the low 30s which is really good for that cpu. There is no way the Honeywell Pad is that much better. @@BinaryBlueBull

@@nullvektor9922 No, there wasn't. I did all my testing in the same bootable USB environment with same services running, same benchmarking software with same settings and same duration, same fan curves, all hardware the same and I even checked room temperature and made sure to let my rig cool down to room temperature before I did my next test. On top of that, I also did each test for each item (Arctic MX-5 paste, TG PTM as well as the Honeywell PTM) five times, letting it cool down between each test and I also made sure to first do a few extended burn-ins and cooldowns with both phase transition/PTM pads, to make sure it had fully wetted the thermal interfaces, as that is necessary for peak performance with phase-change materials. Don't knock it if you haven't tried it. At first I didn't believe it either, but It dropped peak temperatures of my 5950X by 15°C and idle temperatures by around 10-15°C. You can say "no way" all you want but I advise you to first try it. Though watch out because the majority that is being sold is fake, so I would get it at LTTStore or the store I described in my other comment I just posted before this one

I didn't get 100°C but it is indeed miles away from the performance of legit PTM7950. They're not even in the same ballpark. With PTM7950 my Ryzen 5950X with AIO watercooling (and heaps of case fans in a push-pull bottom front to top back setup, so I do have very extensive cooling) never goes above 72°C no matter what I do. And I saw that temperature only once, usually it doesn't go above 65°C-68°C. Idle temperatures between 26°C and 35°C, with ambient temperature of 22°C, so it's at times almost at ambient temperature. That stuff is magical. So much so that I was doubting the readings I was getting at first, but the readings were correct

@@tacosupreme337 The solution is legit Honeywell PTM7950. It will make your jaw drop. This TG phasesheet is garbage, it consistently performs significantly worse than a good thermal paste

@@SuperBROKEN81 It is not. The thermal results are muuuuuuuch worse than PTM7950. I compared the two multiple times and accounted for as many parameters as I could (fan curves, cooler type and setup, services running, benchmark settings, ambient temp, letting my rig cool down between tests, thermal cycling them both multiple times before testing to cross the phase-change boundary and let the material settle in and wet the surfaces, running tests in an identical bootable environment, using the exact same application methodology.....) and the results were consistently much worse than legit PTM7950. I even re-applied both of them multiple times to make sure. It is without a shred of doubt NOT rebranded PTM7950, it doesn't even remotely come close to approaching the same thermal performance, let alone match it

Oh by the way, I did my tests inside a USB-based bootable environment, before you say some other factor must be different between the tests. The environment is the exact same every boot, same (very limited) processes running, same test method used, same length of test and starting from a cold system both times. Also, my ambient temperature was almost the same as well both times, 20.5°C - 21.5°C

@@natexkzm I bought it on LTTStore originally but they are currently out of stock. I did find another legit vendor but can't link it because comments with links are removed. Even mentioning the store name results in removal. So, I'll describe the name of the store where a vendor sells the real deal: + + . All of that together gives you the name. The vendor on that store is 100% legit. You will recognize him because he, as the only vendor I know of that does this, displays a full spool of PTM7950 in the pictures of the PTM7950 page. Honeywell only makes this stuff in large bulk quantities, never in smaller consumer quantities, so the vendor displaying the entire spool is a good sign.
