Where Sonic loneliness got to him in the baseball scene and he unleashed his power and in this scene where Shadow thought of the death of Maria and his grief and anger powered the machine. I hope Silver gets an emotional moment like this and we truly see what he is fully capable of.

I think the government/G.U.N are gonna using Shadow full as a weapon but Gerald refused, he was told that Shadow chaos energy could solve humanity energy crisis. So Gerald decided to run away with Shadow and Maria, but this end badly for everyone. Gerald when crazy and trick G.U,N to build him an Eclipse Canon in exchange for his release, an overkill weapon that no man can use except destroying the world. Only commander Walker realized what is going on, he kept one of the key card for himself, even before his death he gave his key card to Sonic. He had more trust to an alien rather than his fellow human in the agency, I also think a big baddie are gonna revealed him/herself in the 4th movie and he/she come from G.U.N organization
