amber wells I was thinking northside too because I'm from Homestead Rd and some areas reminded me of Settegast, Kashmere Gardens and 5th. Ward. He is actually on the southside around Scott St. and Cullen Blvd. @ 6:20, he is on Galesburg St. near Cullen. I know some of the people on camera. @ 7:11, that was Screwed Up Records & Tapes old spot (blue building.) This is mainly the Sunnyside neighborhood area.
These comments crack me up. "oh its not that bad"... Is it supposed to be??? Folk thinkin they gonna see a hood movie. There is a such thing as black folk in the hood minding their own business and chilling, getting along with their neighbors and kids playing outside.
supa dupa does it always have to be black folk? Don’t think you’ve noticed but actually an abundance of black people are actually mid class and are living in suburbs not hoods
In Houston we have laws in place to keep gangs from getting a foot hold, like if they tag your building YOU have to get it off within 24hrs or the city will fine you $500 for every day its left up. We have lots of cop visibility, and work hard to give youth places to go after school etc. You can keep livestock inside the city limits as long as the area you have them in is large enough to accommodate the animals and is at lest 100 ft from any residential house. Some of the trash and debris you see on the side of the streets are left over from Hurricane Harvey flooding, some folks are just now able to afford gutting their homes and rebuilding. Large trash pick up will have it removed usually within the month it's set out. All in all for the most part, Houston is the largest hometown city in the nation, we treat our neighbors neighborly, and have respect for each other more so than any other city i've been in.
kellibomb facts. Do u remember what the city looked like before they started making them take the gang graffiti down right away ? Gang problem was worse inner city Houston was all tagged up. That lil law did a lot
I wouldn't say there's 'lots' of cop visibility. Currently HPD is understaffed by 1000+ and Houston is the biggest city geographic wise so many places it feels like there's no police at at.
Yeah not often but I see some guys riding horses in Greenspoint where I work. We call it Gunspoint. Gun shots, police chases, people getting arrested... You can see a lot on your lunch break working nights in the hood.
Damn, Houston's hoods really aren't that bad compared to Chicago or Detroit. You guys in Houston actually have glass for your windows instead of boards.
Charlie Ledet Not exactly. There's really nothing to brag about as far as ghettos go, but this looks like a normal suburb to me compared to Chicago where I live. I live in Chicago's Austin neighborhood which is quite possibly the most dangerous patch of land on American soil. In 2018 alone we've had 153 shootings and 32 homicides on a patch of land that's only about 4 square miles. If you can survive where I live you can survive anywhere.
MadMatt8880 yeah it ain’t like that out here most people out here just tryna get by but don’t get it twisted I literally hear gunshots every three days

A lot of the hoods in Houston are neighborhoods where doctors used to live. It's a bunch of big old haunted looking houses. The small town where I used to live is the same way. The ex governors old house is in the hood(governor Ferguson). Amazingly, they named a prison after him despite being charged with 5 felonies(selling parole in exchange for land)
Man there's a ton of more populated, active and appealing "hoods" in Houston. Want to see more of these... Appreciate your videos by the way. Subscribed
It looks quite nice to me and not long ago it was probably flooded. Are you going up to Dallas and Ft Worth? Both, Houston and Dallas have strong economies and are booming right now.
I'm from Houston its pretty quiet more like being in the country it's not super safe but where is Safe. I live in the hood now much more safe than the city. More trees and cooler in the summer because the trees
Have you done Las Vegas? I heard some parts of North Las Vegas and other areas of Las Vegas are bad. You have a really interesting channel. I’d be interested in seeing more.
The hoods in Houston look tame compared to the hoods in St. Louis, Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Memphis, New Orleans, etc. They must be doing something right in Houston if these are the most ghetto neighborhoods the city has to offer up.
Michael Hittson thank you! Believe it or not this and few other hoods didn't get hit too hard during Harvey. It was mostly the southern East and western suburbs that we're hit the worse.
Your video popped In my recommended for some reason. Well the picture you used on your thumbnail has 2 cracks on the upper left side. MAN I THOUGHT MY SCREEN WAS CRACKED! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Foreal i use to stay near there and everyday i use to see kids from yates high school fighting in front of that wendys and burger king right across from that colledge.
H-Town not like most cities with one or two hoods. There's hoods spread out EVERYWHERE in town because of no zoning. The worst hoods are garden apartments in Aldine-Gunspoint near the airport or in SW Houston 59 and the Beltway.
Thing about Houston is that everyone stays inside because its 100 degrees and there's swarms of mosquitoes everywhere. I grew up there and I dread going back to that climate.
Poor people have homes too?!! SHOCKER !!! Blacks have homes too ?!! WOW!! Hmm.. What exactly is the point of this video? The homes are not even so bad. I have lived in one of the Houston "hoods" in the past. If you mind your business, you will be as safe as the queen of England. I guess anywhere there are "too many" black people of lower economic status, it must be "dangerous". You are just making the poor unknowing pedestrians look unnecessarily bestial. Dude is driving through the neighborhoods as if he's driving through Mosul.
Lib Libest wow bro.... lets not play victim or be stops here. Its a simple tour of our hood lol. Tbh some of this vid makes the hood here look good. I would quit w some idiotic comments.
You might be in the hood Houston if... 1)The only "corner store" is a no name and is built out of an old house and looks like it's falling apart. 2) There is multiple churches, crackheads, or funeral homes on every other corner in the neighborhood. 3) Someone is randomly riding a horse down the street. 4) There's a nice ass house right next to a condemned house. 5) You end up in line of cars thinking it's traffic, but find out as you get closer you have ended up in the car line to get served.
Johnny Carson That's what I'm saying. These people expose how little they really know about the hoods here in Houston. Trying to look a certain way on UA-cam. 😂
This is one of the main problems with our country. There's no motivation to work, why would you when you and get $900 a month for food, nearly 0 rent, and make 3-600 a day stealing or selling drugs. Been there done that, then we moved out of the hood
I live in the north side and I promise you the white population is probably 5%😂 if you go fartherrrr into the north side then yeah it gets white but I live in North West side and it ain’t white over here
Houston another big city way bigger than the other cities he went to except for NYC , Toronto , Atlanta and Chicago the rest of the other cities were smaller. Edit: I forgot to add Philadelphia
Ah, yes. At first I was sort of guessing what part of town it was, but Scott and Rosemont sealed it. Sunnyside is one of the few urban areas I can think of whose Street View on Google Maps is still the first pass that Google Cars made in 2006 & 2007. If you go to Scott & Rosemont on Google Maps, you can tell they haven't been back. There's a grainy look to the old Street View rendering.
Me and my friends walk down roads like this at night they are really not that bad just don’t start shit with people and don’t bring phones or anything with you cause if they see you holding anything that is valuable or has stuff inside your more prome to get robbed
Next time you’re in Houston try Greenspoint, Sharpstown, Bissonnet & Beltway, Hiram Clark, and Gulfton neighborhoods. Houston can get ugly but to me nothing compared to Philadelphia and Detroit. I travel for work and have been everywhere but those two cities stand out for hood shit. New Orleans before the projects were torn down too.
The things i notice the most. The nice cars parked in the yards and streets "Wow. Is that what Some of us as Black Peoples think is Living a Nice car. "Not.😐 Invest in our children Education and Self Worth. Let's Pray 🙏 Amen.
Mudcakes2...Stop judging folks...let them drive what they want. That's black people problem. Always got something to say about one another. You drive your own car and d ont worry about what's in the next persons driveway.
It looks like shit but really it aint that bad unless you’re lookin for trouble stay vigilant at least, probably more likely to get robbed in the woodlands than here thats how much its changed round here

It looks quite nice to me and not long ago it was probably flooded. Are you going up to Dallas and Ft Worth? Both, Houston and Dallas have strong economies and are booming right now.
It's looking better but there was still a bunch of debris and some roofs still had tarps on them. We can do better.
I'm from Houston its pretty quiet more like being in the country it's not super safe but where is Safe. I live in the hood now much more safe than the city. More trees and cooler in the summer because the trees
Justyburger looks can be deceiving bruh
Christina Levy what hood you live at? Lol
Nah GOD protects the Hebrews in Sunnyside TX, crack is gone and we are tearing down and rebuilding our neighborhood
Have you done Las Vegas? I heard some parts of North Las Vegas and other areas of Las Vegas are bad. You have a really interesting channel. I’d be interested in seeing more.
hope you get more footage of texas brother
I wasn't even going to post this, because I was there for a sort time and I'm going back in July anyway.
Galveston, Sealy street.
Charlie, I knew you were going to catch that guy on the horse hahaha...and Congratulations on over 100K...
Michael Hittson usually Houstonians are extremely stubborn people when it comes to disasters so they usually fix it up right after it ends
Michael Hittson shut ur old ass up that part of Houston aint even that much hood
You wouldn't wanna be over here at night, but this isn't one of the worst hoods in the city.
+a Odariko it was the street not the whole hood bruh in from sunnyside we laid back the nickel is way worse
100K Congrats Charlie
1:25 did my community service at that gray church on the left. Good people
Your video popped In my recommended for some reason. Well the picture you used on your thumbnail has 2 cracks on the upper left side. MAN I THOUGHT MY SCREEN WAS CRACKED! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Go around tsu and uofh In the 3rd ward . lawdy jesus😂
marcoo2242 us students stay getting robbed on Elgin
Nurse Vegan when schools in session we get a UH alert email about someone getting robbed like every week. What do you mean no we don’t
Foreal i use to stay near there and everyday i use to see kids from yates high school fighting in front of that wendys and burger king right across from that colledge.
Oh heck no my mom went through 3rd ward not as bad as 5th ward and then we went to galena park not a good place
H-Town not like most cities with one or two hoods. There's hoods spread out EVERYWHERE in town because of no zoning. The worst hoods are garden apartments in Aldine-Gunspoint near the airport or in SW Houston 59 and the Beltway.
HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM!
congrats on 100k bro vdrive around north austin or east austin
Houston Texas; 'Horses in the Hood'. That is definitely a new one.
Marco Anaya It's how we get down. I love it! ;)
Monique Price It's all good. That's real horse power, not a muscle car.
Marco Anaya it's normal.. They own then
ASANTEWAA POWER very cool. Would like to see it in person. Maybe even get a ride.
Marco Anaya No, not for the people who live around there
New subscriber here. I love your content
Never understood people who Walk Around with Headphones on....you need to be Aware of your Surroundings... that goes for Any Neighborhood !
Stupid*
You might be in the hood Houston if...
1)The only "corner store" is a no name and is built out of an old house and looks like it's falling apart.
2) There is multiple churches, crackheads, or funeral homes on every other corner in the neighborhood.
3) Someone is randomly riding a horse down the street.
4) There's a nice ass house right next to a condemned house.
5) You end up in line of cars thinking it's traffic, but find out as you get closer you have ended up in the car line to get served.
Awesome video🔥🔥🔥
Which hood is this? I only been to greenspoint and Sharpstown.... idk if Sharpstown is considered a hood
Go to Sunnyside in south Houston On 288 and 610
Or Third Ward. This is not the hood.
DurkBallin TM this is sunnyside, Scott and bellfort to be exact
This IS sunnyside..... He rolled thru scott to cullen south of 610.....smh
Johnny Carson That's what I'm saying. These people expose how little they really know about the hoods here in Houston. Trying to look a certain way on UA-cam. 😂
J C 4000 is better
This is one of the main problems with our country. There's no motivation to work, why would you when you and get $900 a month for food, nearly 0 rent, and make 3-600 a day stealing or selling drugs. Been there done that, then we moved out of the hood
The northside of Houston, Texas.
Slimgod _ that’s not true... I was raised on the north side dummy. Acres homes and Greenspoint..,, hardly any whites and if they are they act black
I live in the north side and I promise you the white population is probably 5%😂 if you go fartherrrr into the north side then yeah it gets white but I live in North West side and it ain’t white over here
Crazy part is I live over there right off Maggie street next to the funeral home 😂😂
Houston another big city way bigger than the other cities he went to except for NYC , Toronto , Atlanta and Chicago the rest of the other cities were smaller. Edit: I forgot to add Philadelphia
Houston has over 2 million people which is 4 times the amount of people Atlanta has ( under 500k). Philadelphia has 1.5 million.
WORDto BIGbird Memphis population is going down according Wikipedia. Plus I live here in Memphis
Hey Fat Ass ! Houston bigger than Atlanta and Philly
Within the city limits Atlanta is smaller, but the metropolitan population makes it a top 10 city.
Atlanta has a population over 5 million how is that small 😂
It look like it's down in the country there.
No neighborhood in houston scare me. Lol lived here my whole life.
Sharpstown. Greenway. Gulfton Ghetto. That’s da hood! DD’s cappin each other. You can hear the gunfire every Friday night....
Has been for years.
Anywhere Black People are is a beautiful thing no matter how the neighborhoods look, peace & black understanding.
Too damn country for me!!!
U know it's the hood when u see black ppl on horses😂😂
The things i notice the most. The nice cars parked in the yards and streets "Wow. Is that what Some of us as Black Peoples think is Living a Nice car. "Not.😐 Invest in our children Education and Self Worth. Let's Pray 🙏 Amen.
mudcakes2 the nice cars are relatives that live in different areas and are just having meet ups. It’s more common in Houston
Mudcakes2...Stop judging folks...let them drive what they want. That's black people problem. Always got something to say about one another. You drive your own car and d ont worry about what's in the next persons driveway.
Charlie bo you should the Eastside & Westside of San Antonio next, way more Grimey
More Texas videos, please!
Cool Video, Keep up the good work!
It looks like shit but really it aint that bad unless you’re lookin for trouble stay vigilant at least, probably more likely to get robbed in the woodlands than here thats how much its changed round here
TexasSmoking Exactly... we call the woodlands the hoodlands or weedlands
The things that's on my mind when I be riding down in my city!
