You are smart to do what is best for your family. You have choices and do what you feel is best. I am sorry people were so cruel. I appreciate the help with the black tank and glad you are safe. I am waiting to see my RV stored in Oxford on Nov 5th.
I’m glad your safe, I’m in Venice Florida my house didn’t get destroyed thank God, the repairs from Ian were good and up to code, where I live so much devastation, but one thing about Florida we people come together and help each other, day 5 with out power but we are alive keeping generator running for my moms oxygen and medical equipment I’m so happy your family safe God Bless
You made the right decision. Just ignore the haters. There are a lot of kooks out there. Victron systems are nice, but every system has certain limitations. We can set the charger in our 48v Sungold Power all-in-one from 0-40 amps in 5-amp increments. We set ours to 20 amps so if we're charging from our generator, we can get a good 1,000w charge while running our other appliances like A/C and microwave without overloading the 5,500w generator. I would have thought that 18 amps at 25.6 volts (460watts) would easily run on a regular 15a circuit (you would just need an adapter or 2, and maybe an extension cord to reach the plug) - or does it draw 18 amps at 120v, not output 18amps at 24v nominal? Anyway, it's academic now. Glad you're all safe. Hope the water resides quickly so you can get back to normal soon.
@@SuperSushidog 18.5 amps is the input limiter lowest setting at 120v (with parallel inverters, with single inverter the lowest is only 9 amps at 120) so 2,200 watts which will trip an 15amp breaker. Setting the charger rate is completely different from the input limit, but the input limit has to be more than the charger rate. I have a whole other video about it ua-cam.com/video/9znwS_tUKD4/v-deo.htmlsi=ZADC5XM2CTowkx15
People are strange, you do you, glad you and your family are ok, I'm assuming all the RV parks that were affected will take a while to clean up and dry out that's going to make finding another spot difficult as everyone else will be in the same situation, won't they?
If this were a few years down the road, I would have been in North Carolina waiting for the weather to get cooler in Florida to spend the winter there in a trailer. Times have changed, so has my plans for retirement.
So happy you, Kim and the puppies are safe! RV and boat too! Great idea on the battery charger system! Stay safe!

As a fellow Cougar owner impressed with how much you can store in that pass through. I think the morryde cargo tray cut my storage room in half.
